Irma was startled and lowered her head subconsciously.
Frederic let go of Irma and lit a cigarette. His voice was suppressed very low, “Irma, I canceled my engagement with Una, and sent Una to prison in person. This time, I choose to be on your side.”
Hearing Frederic’s words, Irma smiled bitterly, and she was quite startled.

Looking at Frederic’s thin lips, Irma felt like…it was all a dream.
