Jemima entered her brother’s office to tell him about all the dreams she’s been having lately. She wonders why Melissa is always in all her dreams. It’s either she was the protagonist or the antagonist and this worries her a lot.
This makes her suspect Melissa. Does Melissa have a different motive for coming to this pack? She wonders.
” What a surprise to see you here,” Alpha said upon seeing his sister in his office.
Jemima rolled her eyes ” why are you making it seem as if I don’t come over ”
He shrugged ” you don’t just show up unless it’s important. So tell me something, why are you here?” He asked closing the folder in front of him.
Jemima let out a sigh, she took the seat opposite him ” Well, I have something important to tell you?”
He furrowed his brows confused ” what is it about ?” He was alarmed.
” I’ve been having these dreams and it has something to do with you. It’s terrifying Raphael. I don’t think I’m ready to lose you” she said.
” I forbid it, you won’t lose me not now not ever. What is the dream about ?”
” I’ve seen multiple times as this lady tried to poison your coffee and at the same time she ends up saving you. At times it might be through poison while other times a silver. ”
He laughed hard ” a lady tried to kill me? This is the funniest I’ve heard today. Have you forgotten that no one can easily kill me, I’m the King Alpha remember?”
Jemima mentally rolled her eyes ” but you also know that my dreams always come true if they aren’t prevented on time ”
” True but not with me. That dream will never come to pass and before it comes to pass I’ll make sure I kill the killer before he or she kills me. This isn’t the first time an attempt to end my life was made. Countless times I escaped it so dear little sister you have nothing to worry about ”
” Don’t be too confident of yourself just be careful ”
He laughed ” ok and by the way, where were were were u able to see this lady’s identity?”
She was mute. She wasn’t ready to tell him it was Melissa ” No I didn’t”
He was suspicious of her action ” are you sure?”
She couldn’t meet his eyes ” yes ”
Raphael didn’t say much ” ok then if you say so ”
Jemima got up ” I’ll be in my room now ”
” Ok”
He watched her retreating till she locked the door. He was very sure she saw the culprit in her dreams but didn’t want to say it Could it be someone close to her? He wondered.

Jemima didn’t go to her room instead she went straight to the maid’s section. She has so many things going on in her head and she needed answers to all her questions.
She was greeted by some maids on her way to Melissa’s room. Jemima wave because of how her mind was preoccupied.
She knocked on the door and Melissa opened the door herself.
“Hey!”
” Hey” Jemima answered but her spirit was down which didn’t go past Melissa.
” Come in” Melissa opened the door wider for her to enter.
” Thanks”
Melissa didn’t understand why she was being too formal. The Jemima she knows will open the door herself. She wouldn’t even remember to knock.
Jemima sat on Ashley’s bed.
” Is anything the matter?” Melissa asked in concern.
” Actually yes something is wrong”
” Okay,” said Melissa dragging the Y in the okay. This must be serious, she thought
Jemima looked up and was met with Melissa’s questioning eyes.
” Who are you, Melissa ?”
Melissa raised a brow not getting why she was asking that kind of question ” are you sure you are ok, Jemima?”
” I’m perfectly fine ” she pressed ” just answer my question already. Who are you? What is your motive in this pack?”
Melissa’s heart began to race. She wonders why Jemima was asking her this. Could she have found out about the plan? She. Thought.
Melissa made sure she was cautious of her words not to spill anything ” I still don’t understand you, Jemima. It’s me, Melissa. A maid and nothing else.”
Jemima sighed loudly ” it two days now I’ve been having these bad dreams and t had a lot to do about you, Mel. I don’t know what to do really. I’ve thought so much about it but it keeps on bugging me ”
Melissa couldn’t believe her ears ” Tell me what the dreams are about ”
” You poisoned my brother ” she went straight to the matter.
Melissa almost bulged her eyes ” Why would I do that? I’ll never do that to you Jemima, not to the king himself ”
” I know but I just can’t think of a better option to see this. I fear for my brother and I also fear for you. You two mean a lot to me and it will hurt me if you do anytime to hurt my brother ”
Melissa felt guilty right now. Could it be that what the beta told her to put in the king’s coffee is poison? Poison only works when the culprit is the victim’s mate. Is that why the beta approach her about the matter? Is the beta trying to kill the king by using her? So many thoughts swirled in her head. She needs to do something about this real fast.
” Trust me, Jemima, I’ll never do anything to hurt you or your brother. If to your brother and if I was the one that caused it, then I’m giving you the right to end my life. ” Melissa held Jemima’s hand ” Believe me ”
” I’m trying but it’s so hard. My dreams always come through. It might not be now but I do unless the culprit is been apprehended before then ”
Melissa got up ” You’re free to do as you please with me . If you want me far away from your brother then I’ll understand. But please never see me as a bad person, it’s hurting coming from you. “…
” I don’t know what to say ” Jemima exhaled ” Just be warned. Some people might try using you to implement this plan. Just be careful”
Jemima got up and left the room after warning Melissa.

Melissa’s pov
I kept pacing around the room. This is not a good sign at all. I need to find ways to end all this. Jemima is also giving me the cold shoulder and it hurts seeing how well she behaves with Lena and Ashley.
Right now we were heading to the dining when we saw Jemima on the way. She greeted both Lena and Ashley the way she always does but with me it was curt and nothing else.
Lena suspects that something was wrong but didn’t say anything. We waited for Jemima to take her to leave first before we finally entered the dining hall. Ashley excused herself to God knows where.
Lena and I took a seat but Lisa wouldn’t stop giving me the look which I acted oblivious to.
” Is something wrong ?” Lena asked
” What’s that ?” I asked pretending not to know what she was talking about.
” Oh don’t try that shit with me girl. I saw the way Jemima acted, that wasn’t friendly at all”
” Oh, t? It’s nothing you should worry about. We have this little argument earlier, I know with time it’ll wave off” I said as if it’s nothing serious.
Lena raised a brows ” that was more than a little argument you might have had. Tell me the truth Melissa please ”
Why can’t she just let it pass already ” please don’t press. I think it’s between us and we’ll resolve it sooner or later ”
” Ok if you say so.”
” We better go get our food before it finishes”
That was how I was able to end the topic. Ashley later came back to join us.
” Guys you can’t believe who I just saw!” Ashley said as she sat down
” Who?”
” Rosie. That woman is like a goddess swears”
Lena and I looked at each other. The way Ashley is so obsessed with Rosie this day is what gets suspicious. All she’s been saying is how she wants a life like Rosie’s. It’s so annoying coming from her. She knew how we don’t like that lady and now she’s behaving like this.
When she saw that we didn’t give any response, she rolled her eyes ” you two are just haters.
” Whatever”

Rosie rolled her eyes at what Bryan said. They were in their usual joint discussing their next move They were both seated beside the riverside embracing each other. Anyone that sees them now will call them a couple
” I hate that girl. She is so annoying and stupid”
Bryan laughed ” why didn’t you report her to the king? You told me about your last encounter”
Rosie let out a sigh ” I have a much bigger plan so let her enjoy her freedom now. I’ll strike her where it hurts”
” But on a second thought, why do you hate her this much ?”
” The king likes her that’s why,” she said
Bryan raised a brow” and how did you know that? what makes you say that ?”
Rosie was deep in thought ” The way he looks at her when she was in trouble that time. He looked hurt when she was given those lashes but had no choice because it was a rule that needed to be followed. ”
” You can be too sure of that ”
” Believe me or now Brian. The king likes her. That girl is an opportunist, I’m sure she came to this pack with a motive. She is the only maid that has landed in so much trouble since she came.”
” Are you jealous of her ?”
Rosie gave him a look ” you of all people should know that I can never be jealous of her. She is a nobody ”
” But she is pretty”
Rosie pushed away from him ” why do I feel as if you also like her too? ”
Brian chuckled ” she’s nothing close to you . I was only joking and you should know that “…
” I hate expensive jokes like this ”
” I apologize. It won’t repeat itself ”
” Better” she rested her back on his chest ” so how far have you gone with the plan?
” Though you won’t ask,” he said ” I’ve done the necessary and I’m sure it’s already working. Let’s wait for some changes ”
She smiled devilishly” I can’t wait to see them all down. The alpha will finally be mine and I’ll be calling the Luna soon”
Brian felt insulted hearing her say that. He loves her so much that it hurts hearing her say her love for another man. It hurts a lot. This is one of the reasons his hatred for the Alpha increases.
Rosie pecked him ” you are my helper ”
” I’ll always make you happy Rosie. You know that “. He said
Rosie raised a brow then burst out laughing ” Don’t fall too hard, Brian. Don’t say I didn’t warn you”
” You know it’s hard not to especially having you this close to me ” he breathed in her scent. She drives him crazy a lot. Brian reach down to her pant but Rosie held them in time.
” Stop” she warned.
. ” I can’t Rosie . Your scent drives me crazy that I need to feel your touch” he places small kisses around her neck making her moan softly.
” Please ” she moaned
He smiled on her skin seeing how she melts to his touch ” do I make you crazy just the way you make me ?” He asked in a husky voice.

Bryan need not be told twice he pulled her dress and did what she asked for. He felt like the happiest man on Earth seeing how she melted to all his touch. He promised himself that one day she’ll love him as much as he loves her.
