*The Next Morning**
The sweet aroma of pancakes penetrated my nostrils, interrupting my sleep and reminded my stomach that it needed food, which made it growl loudly, and I was forced out of bed.
Although I wasn’t completely awake, but I trusted my nostrils and followed wherever it led me.
I shivered slightly as I felt a gush of cold rushed all over my body immediately I set foot on the floor, but I didn’t think much about it, or let it stop me from going on my food hunt.
I just hugged myself simply, and continued my adventure.
Furthermore, I walked for a God knows how long -since I was walking extremely slow, like a millipede -until Megan came in sight and that’s when I realized I’ve made it to the kitchen.
“Good morning, babygirl” she greeted cheerily the moment she saw me.
“Morning” I mumbled out.
I pulled out a stool near the counter and sat down, with my head rested on the counter and my arms crossed on my chest underneath the counter, as I continued with my sleep.
“What’s wrong with you? Why did you leave your room to come sleep here?” Megan asked, with a hint of amusement in her tone.
“Pancakes” was the only reply I gave her.
“Of course” she dropped a plate of pancakes a meter or two away from me. “Judging from how sleepy you are right now, I can say you slept late last night, right?”
“Hm”
“Why? Is something bothering you?” she asked, but quickly answered herself before I could. “I don’t think something’s bothering you, you were fine when you left my room”
I couldn’t stand perceiving the aroma of pancakes and not having any in my mouth. I raised my head, and every spirit of sleep vamoosed from my eyes as soon as I reached for the plate of pancakes.
“Tell me, what happened to you after you left my room?”
“Nothing” I replied while stuffing my mouth with pancake.
“You can’t say it’s nothing”
She turned off the gas, took off her apron, pulled out a chair and sat next to me.
“Just look at you, look at these dark circles underneath your eyes, and you think I’d believe when you say it’s nothing?” she scoffed unbelievably, then gave me that ‘you better start talking’ look.
We stayed in silence for a moment, but then I broke it with a sighed when I couldn’t stand her eyes on me anymore. After all, there’s nothing to hide.
“Fine” I cleared my throat. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I haven’t been able to get that stranger’s d**k off my head since I came back from the audition”
“Say what now?”
“Yeah” I reached for another pancake. “There’s something about him that kept reminding me about Mr. huge d**k”
Her eyes narrowed into a slit at the mention of Mr. huge d**k, there’s a clear line of confusion in her eyes.
“Who’s Mr. huge d**k?” she asked with a frown.
“My s*x teacher” I answered.
“Oh”
I nodded.
“I spent the whole night comparing both of them” I paused. “Actually, I was comparing their d**ks” I added with a cheeky smile.
The scene from the audition suddenly started replaying in my head. The stranger’s movement, his touch, his physique, and even his voice… although his voice was much deeper and hoarse, but everything felt so familiar. Could he really be Mr. huge d**k?
“Someone’s drooling” Megan’s words brought me back to reality.
“I’m drooling?” I asked.
Not waiting for her response, I reached for a tissue and began wiping off the corner of my lips.
“What are you doing?”
“You said I’m drooling” I replied.
She shook head. “You weren’t drooling, but you were close to. Did you see your face?”
I frowned, pretending to be offended, then squeezed the tissue in my hand and threw it at her, which she dodged smoothly.
“What? Is this how you repay me for stopping you from making a fool of yourself?”
I scoffed and rolled my eyes at her.
My brows furrowed, and my head tilted in a bit of surprise as I took in her outfit.
“Why are you all dressed as if you’re going to work?” I asked.
She got up and walked towards the fridge, but answered my question along the way.
“I thought I’d go to work because my boss called last night and ordered me to come to work”
My eyes subconsciously looked towards her ankle to make sure it had healed completely.
“… but I guess he changed his mind because his driver handed this card to me and… ” she faced me and adjusted herself. “… Mr. Belmont instructed you stay home today and let your ankle heal completely before resuming work” she said, I guess she’s imitating the driver.
I sighed. “Thank God, we’ll be going… ”
I trailed off when my eyes landed on the card she’s holding.
“… Isn’t this card the same as mine?”
“Yes. I’m attending the gala with my boss”
She’s attending with her boss? I couldn’t help the “Ooh” that left my mouth, which she rolled her eyes at.
“Get your mind off the gutter, I’m only going as his assistant”
“Oh, really?” I shook my head in disagreement. “I don’t think so, there’s another reason behind this” I winked teasingly at her.
“There are no reasons behind it, he simply needed me there to run errands for him and…”
“Keep fooling yourself with those silly excuses” I interrupted her. “I know when a man is in love, darling, and trust me, this man is head over heels for you”
I ducked quickly when I saw her throwing a plastic bottle towards me.
“Shut up and eat” she commanded me.
“Yes, ma’am, but you’ll remember my words someday soon”
“No, I won’t”

*Sin – CEO’s Office**
Mike pushed the door open and walked in after hearing a faint come in. He dropped a cup of coffee in front of his boss, began arranging some scattered files on the table.
“What was she doing when you delivered the card?”
“Nothing, sir” Mike answered. “She was already dressed and ready for work”
“Hm”
His boss (Jonathan) continued working on something on his computer, and after a while he stopped and called for Mike’s attention.
“What do you think? Is this color bright enough? Will the client be happy with this work?”
Mike nodded with a satisfied and proud smile.
“Yes, sir, you’ve done a perfect job”
“Hm… But I think the color is still too dark” Jonathan said.
Mike frowned, wondering if his boss has caught a fever which is affecting his brain and vision. And his frown deepened even more when he took a second look at his boss, and noticed the sunglasses he wore.
“Sir, you might want to take your sunglasses off” he said, suggestively, trying his best not to sound rude.
Jonathan hesitantly removed the sunglasses, and Mike jumped back with a small gasp.
“What happened to your eyes? Why do you have so many dark circles underneath your eyes?”
Jonathan sighed deeply as he leaned back on his chair.
“I couldn’t sleep, I stayed up all night”
“Why? Is everything ok, sir?”
“Everything is fine”
“Then what happened? Why did you stay up all night?”
There was a moment of silence, and the next words that proceeded from Jonathan’s mouth were a great shocker to Mike.
“I just couldn’t stop thinking about her” Jonathan said before he could stop himself.
Mike stared at his boss with his mouth open, he already had a hint of whom his boss was talking about, but he just couldn’t believe it.
“Thinking about whom?” he asked, just to be sure.
“Megan” Jonathan answered. “I was worried about her injury”
“Sir, I think…”
“And even though I know she has a roommate, I still couldn’t help but worry”
Mike’s lips curved into a smile as a thought came to him. He took a cautious step backwards, to create a safe space between him and his boss.
“Can I ask a bold question, sir?”
“Hm”
“Are you in love with Megan?” he asked.
Jonathan first narrowed his eyes at the question. “Yes” he answered, then raised his brows. “Do you have a problem with that?”
Mike quickly shook his head.
“No, no, no, sir. I was just being curious”
“Hm” Jonathan hummed.
He adjusted himself on the chair, and reached for the coffee which Mike had brought in earlier, and took a sip.
“And don’t even think of telling her about this, or you’re dismissed in advance”
Mike shut his mouth immediately, and did that zipper gesture as though he’s zipped his mouth. But wouldn’t stop laughing silently.
