Chapter 61

Book:Save Me Mate Published:2024-5-1

Kayden’s POV
“H…. W… why?” She asked the same question and I gulped down hard.
“I do not appreciate being asked the same question twice. You can exit my room now.” I said to her and heard silent sobs that was followed by the bang of my door.
Her beautiful and intoxicating scent slowly faded from the room while I turned to stare at the room. A part of me wanted to reach out to her and grab her for myself but then that was a stupid thing for a part of me to wish.
I am Alpha Kayden, I do not believe in love and catching feelings.
“You are a beast! I and you have nothing to do!” Jay growled at me.
He was making a violent movement in me but I managed to stay composed.
“Some quiet moments Jay, please.” I pleaded even though I knew this was not the time he would listen to that plea.
“Quiet moments?! You just rejected our mate!” He yelled at me.
“Yes I did so! That’s not the end of the world!” I replied him.
“Seems like you would be more of an alpha without me.” he groaned and I sighed.
“Jay.” I called softly but there was no response, he was growling in obvious anger.
I plopped to the bed and undid the buttons of my shirt. I just rejected my mate…. Yeah I did so but then that was not the end of the world…. I can easily get girls at any time of the day… I do not need any type of entanglements, I am better off alone, feelings were hinderances, they were distractions and so are mates.
I gulped as the picture of Mantha appeared in my mind, a huge smile on her face.
I buried my face in my pillow with a groan.
Samantha’s POV
I could feel the entire world shattering in front of me, Cara was whimpering, I was crying hard. Tears were flowing non stop and I made no attempt to stop them, not like I could in this sort of situation.
I was so broken, I thought being his mate would bring the both of us together even more, I thought…. I thought it was going to bond us but no!
“Samantha….. What’s wrong with you?” Cassie called out to me when she noticed that I was weeping profusely.
I tried to wipe my tears and tell her that I was fine but then I knew that was impossible, there was no way I could stop the tears flowing judging by the hurt and pain in my heart caused by no one but Alpha Kayden.
“What’s wrong?” Cassie asked again but I could not say a word, the tears did let me say a thing. I was too broken to get a word out of my mouth.
“Come over here.” Cassie helped me to the quarters and helped me to a chair.
I raised my legs up and cuddled my knees, wetting my legs up with my tears.
“Here you go.” Cassie said handing over a handkerchief to me which I took from her anyways.
“Alpha Kayden hurt you somehow?” She asked and I nodded vigorously.
“Alpha Kayden beat you up?!” She gasped and I nodded in affirmation.
After all being beaten up by him was even better than what I had just suffered in his hands. I felt stupid, just the day before, I was super happy thinking I was lucky to have the one I had feelings for as my mate but then luck… That was one thing that was very far from me! I had never being fully lucky in my life, I was born to an Alpha, lucky, right? But then I got put in slavery! I was taken in by the Alpha of Alphas and treated quite specially, lucky right? But yet he is now rejecting me even when he knows that I am his mate!
I am just unfortunate!
I hugged Cassie and wept loudly in her arms.
She simply held me in her arms and patted my back comfortingly although I could not feel the comfort. The anguish was too much, it was very well overwhelming whatever comfort she was trying to offer.
“Whatever went wrong, it is going to be fine.” she consoled and I snuggled up even closer to her.
“It is not going to be fine.” I breathed out those words.
That was the truth.
“No it is Samantha, you are going to be fine. No one and nothing can break you, Alpha Kayden would protect you.” she said to me and I got away from her arms.
I wiped my tears twice even though they were quickly replaced by another stream of tears.
“He would not protect me! He is cruel! He is cold! He is nothing but a beast!” I yelled and Cassie’s expression showed a form of shock.
“A… A beast? No, he is not. Whatever misunderstanding you both have will be settled…..”
“Yes! I was misunderstand before but he had made it clear!” I cried even more.
Now was when I understood the expression of ignorance pays sometimes. When I had not found out that we were mates, I was happy. Ignorance is happiness for me!!
“You both would….”
“There’s nothing like the both of us!!” I screamed out like a mad woman.
“Okay! Okay! He is a beast! He is a cold nonentity.” Cassie yelled out too, maybe to sooth me and it did work.
“He is cruel!” I screamed.
“He is very cruel!!” Cassie screamed in return.
“He is a monster!”
“He is nothing but a monster!!”
“He is a cold fish!!”
“He is only a cold fish!! Not warm at all!!”
“And more?! He is a loner! He is a still yet wicked loner!” I screamed.
“He is a loner! No friends! He is a loner!”
“He deserves to be alone! Alone forever!”
“You are going to be alone forever!” Cassie screamed and I slipped to the floor sobbing again.
“And…. He hates me!!”
“He…. He…. He maybe hates you!” Cassie said.
“He hates me…. That’s…. That’s the surest fact!” I said to her.
“Okay…. He hates her!” She screamed.
“And…. And I hate him too now!!”
“And…. And you do anything but hating him”
“I really do…. I hate him” I sobbed
