ENRIQUE’S POV
“Sir, Mister Galvez is here.” I nodded at Magnolia giving her an answer. “Should I bring him here?”
“No, bring him to the conference room.” That brat might come again and wait outside for a long time.
“Okay, sir.” When Magnolia left I looked at the clock. It’s almost nine in the morning and she’s still not here. I looked at the door as if waiting for someone. And yes, I am. I am waiting for that brat and wanted to apologize to her.
My behavior towards her yesterday is unreasonable. I know I shouldn’t have done that but I did. I am so fucked up because of some problems and she annoys me. I diverted my anger into feeding the horse and yet she come. So I poured my anger on her.
“Sir.” Magnolia came back so I looked at the watch again. What’s wrong with that brat and why hasn’t she come yet? She should be here by this time. “Yohoo! sir.”
“Coming.” I stood up to talk to Mr. Galvez. But before I enter the conference room I give Magnolia an order. “When that brat comes, let her stay in my office.”
“In your office?” She asked in disbelief and her eyes widened.
“Do I need to repeat it?”
“Loud and clear, sir.”
I left her and went to the meeting. It’s about investment and Galvez proposes some ideas. I just nod and nod at the same time looking at the clock. He keeps explaining randomly and throwing some jokes sometimes.
I smile at him but the truth is—– I wanted to end this meeting.
“Your idea is fine and I find it useful,” I interrupted what he had to say to end the conversation.
“Really?”
“Yeah, I will consider it, give me at least three days to decide and I will call you. Expect positive feedback.” And I stand to let him know that we’re done.
“Good to hear that, Mr. Locsin.”
“Congratulations, but I am in a hurry, and I have another appointment. Don’t worry, I will assure you that I will call.”‘
“Thank you, Mr. Locsin.”
We just shook hands and I didn’t wait for him to speak again. I left the conference room and went back to my office. But to my surprise, no one is there. I already told Magnolia to let that brat come in but why she’s not here?
There is a door in my office connected to the conference room. I don’t need to pass through Magnolia’s place. I took the intercom and called her.
“Yes, sir?”
“Didn’t I tell you to let that brat in?”
“Dandelion, sir?”
“Is there any brat that bothers me every day?”
“She’s not here, sir. She didn’t come today. You missed her———” I did not let her finish and I ended the call. She didn’t come? It’s almost eleven. What happened to her?
Well, a good sign, indeed. This is what I want. Peace of mind and for her to leave me. She annoys me and I think what happened yesterday helps me. What I did also helped.
But did I do the right thing? Well, I think, yes.
I finish the things that I need to finish. Good thing that that brat didn’t come and I can concentrate on my work. No one can distract me. It will be easier to do what I do when there is no disturbance. I took a pen and started to review the paper.
While doing my job, suddenly, that brat crossed my mind. I put down the pen and think of her. I sighed and shook my head. Dandelion Daze Dy —— a woman that every man wants. No man can resist her. She’s fucking beautiful, attractive, hot, sexy, and young. No one can refuse her beauty and I will admit that I am not exempt——–if I don’t love someone.
I know it sounds stupid but I am still in love with Hailey. Up until now, even though she’s married and has seven kids I still want her. I cannot open my heart to anyone. I am hoping that one day I will be given a chance to be with her-I think.
And that’s the reason why I cannot accept Dandelion. The second reason it’s that she’s annoying and keeps pushing herself on me. I admit that I almost fell for her but I just stopped myself because I was disgusted with the way she followed me. She has invaded my privacy too much. And I hate women who chase me, and ——- I hate her. PERIOD.
“Sir, I’m just taking a break. Bye.”
I looked at the clock. It’s then and that brat didn’t show up. Is this a good sign or a bad one? Did what I said yesterday affect her?
But something bothers me and I don’t know what it is. Or maybe I am guilty because of what happened. After I accidentally claimed her virginity I hurt her feelings. Although it wasn’t my mistake because I am under the influence of drugs, it is still my responsibility as a man. But because I don’t like her, I don’t care about her feelings.
“Sir, I will go first.” What the heck? Why am I not aware of the time? “Sir?”
“Go.” I didn’t even notice that it was time to go home. That brat occupied my mind the whole day. She is not that important but I am just wondering what happened to her. Maybe she committed suicide because of what I told her.
I also took my things to go home. I will prepare my documents for my next meeting with Jace Enrile because it didn’t end because I was distracted when Dandelion was dancing with that asshole who tried to do something to her. I really want to go up and punch the idiot especially when his hand hits Dandelion’s body and wanted to grab the brat to leave the place.
And that brat likes it too. She kept pushing herself on me and then flirting with others. Good thing that I came on time, because otherwise what might have happened to that brat? My purpose was to really take that wine and bring her home, but I didn’t expect that it contained drugs.
Before Enrile and I could talk properly, I followed them. Fortunately, Enrile understood me and thought I am just trying to help that brat who is his friend’s sister to get away from those idiots.
I AM ABOUT to enter the mansion when I heard a loud laugh. I followed where it came from and I think it’s in Ervic’s room.
“What?!” Its Dandelion’s voice followed with a giggle. “Ervic stop! I can’t breathe.”
“Ervic?”
“Brother.” Ervic gets up followed by Dandelion. I caught them lying on the bed. Dandelion was on the bottom and Ervic was sitting on top of him.
“What’s happening here?”
“Ah, we’re just having fun. Daze teased me and I just reciprocated.” I look at Dandelion who is busy on her phone. She didn’t bother to look at me.
I wanted to say something but I don’t know what to say when she gets down on the bed.
“Gotta go, Ervic. I’ll see you later if you come, if you don’t come I’ll just find another boy.” She kisses him on the cheeks and walks towards me. She was right in front of me but couldn’t get out because I was blocking the way.
“Can I pass by?”I move to give her access. I smelled her hair so I closed my eyes but immediately opened them. I thought she already left but she stopped.
“Ervic, don’t go to the bar. It’s hard to find a man if you were there.” I furrowed my forehead after I heard what she said. “Instead of having a boy, I will end up with you.”
“Dandelion,” I called her. She turned to face me after I called her.
“Yes?” I don’t know what to say. Do I need to apologize to her? Do I apologize for what I did yesterday? Or should I wait for her to approach me? “Do you want to say something?”
“Nothing.”
“Ok,” then she left. Did she ignore me?
“Brother, do you need anything?”
“Nothing.” Well, I think this is for the better. This is what I want. Peace of mind. I don’t need to say sorry to her. Because her head might grow and tease me again if I pay attention to her and talk to her.
