Drew was still calm, although Anne had been yelling at him since they woke up. But he suddenly felt nervous when he saw Kevz peeking into the room.
His nervousness heightened when Lemon woke up because of the noise. Then again, he was hurt when she announced, not just to Anne but to everyone, that she wasn’t interested in him.
He felt like he was about to go crazy. He went through several emotions at that moment. It started with confusion, anxiety, then pain.
Then he started feeling annoyed when Anne began to cry. And when her sobbing grew louder, Drew exited the room and headed downstairs.
However, his annoyance heightened when he got to the living room. Kevz was smiling naughtily at him, and it was because he was hugging Lemon while she was leaning on his chest.
‘Lord, help me calm down!’
He wanted to charge at him, but it would surely shock and confuse everyone. Instead of letting the sight affect him, he inhaled and exhaled several times, bit his inner lip, and ignored them.
“Drew, why were you next to Lemon on the bed?” Roj asked. Drew sat on the couch next to Kevz, glaring at him before facing Roj.
“I went to the terrace last night and saw her sleeping on the chair. I wanted to wake her up because mosquitoes were feasting on her, but I didn’t want her to get mad, too. So I carried her to the room and laid her down next to Kellen,” Drew narrated. “But then Kellen’s moving a lot, and Leslie’s about to fall, so I sat on the edge of the bed and used my legs to block Leslie. I don’t know what happened next. When I woke up, Anne was already yelling at me. She was already furious.”
They nodded in unison after hearing Drew’s side of the story. Kip then turned to look at his twin. “What about you, Kel? Where did you go? You weren’t there when we first got to the room.”
Kellen, who was busy preparing milk, stopped for a while. She walked up to the group and pouted, thinking about what occurred last night.
Then she snapped her fingers when she remembered. “All I can recall was that I went to the restroom last night. Lemon’s already sleeping next to me. And, as Drew said, he was sitting by the foot of the bed with his legs up. When I returned, Leslie Monica was already occupying the entire bed. I tried to wake her up, but she wouldn’t, and when I tried to push her, Drew almost fell. So, I decided to just go to Lyra’s room and sleep there,” she narrated.
Again, they all nodded. However, Lemon remained quiet while listening. She still had her head on Kevz’s chest. After a while, Anne came down and sat on the armchair next to Drew.
She was not saying anything but wouldn’t stop pulling Drew’s sleeve, so he glared at her. “Baby, sorry. Please don’t be mad. I was just really shocked to see you sleeping together,” she explained, but Drew ignored her.
Lemon stood up, and Kevz scooted. Drew did the same so Anne could sit properly. She hooked her arm to his, but he still won’t look at her.
“Guido,” Lemon called, and when the man showed up, she hooked her arm to his.
“What is it, ma’am?” he asked, acting awkward as he was sweaty.
Lemon scrunched her nose and stomped her foot, “Ma’am? Again?” she told him off, and the caretaker scratched his head when he remembered. “Can you please find fried rice for me?” she asked sweetly.
Drew laughed mentally, as he felt irritated as she watched Lemon. ‘Am I jealous of Guido too? That is weird.’
Kip gave the man a few bills to buy them breakfast. Lemon even requested a hotdog and fried chicken before the man left.
While waiting, Kevz and Homme started playing Switch again. Meanwhile, Kip busied himself and checked their list of songs while Roj was on his phone.
“Baby, can you please talk to me? I’m really sorry, okay?” Anne told Drew again, pulling his arm closer and forcing him to face her.
Drew’s patience was about to reach its limit, as Anne had been misbehaving since last night. Even before they started drinking, she was already saying things about Lemon.
She kept whispering that she shouldn’t be close to her because Lemon secretly liked him and that she was trying to steal him away. Anne was being paranoid, and it suffocated him.
Anne was game with anything. That was why she lasted longer than other girls. It was okay with her even if Drew didn’t call for days. She was never clingy or demanding. Not until she met Lemon.
The first time they fought because of her was when Lemon caught them in the restroom. Anne insisted that Drew liked Lemon, so he felt guilty and eager to apologize to her.
She kept insisting he liked Lemon, which isn’t false. But that doesn’t have anything to do with her. Before they started going out, Drew also clarified they were not committed to each other. Their relationship could end at any time.
What they had was temporary, and he assumed Anne understood because she never said anything about it. He also made her promise she wouldn’t bother Drew or even chase him after that, and she agreed. But she was starting to act otherwise.
“Go home,” he told her, letting out a sigh. It had to end, or who knew what she would do next?
Their friends turned to look at him when they heard what he said. Since Drew didn’t want to make a scene, he walked out of the studio.
“What did you say?” Anne asked when she followed him outside.
“I said you can go home now. After everything you did, I don’t want to see your face again!” And just like that, Drew turned his back on the woman, leaving her dumbfounded.
