She wasn’t even surprised after seeing Rawbin looking like a model who popped out of a fashion mag. Even when he’s wearing a plain shirt and basketball shorts, he does look good.
What really surprised Lemon was the news Kale told them about Homme and the rest of the guys attending mass. If they do have a plan, her cousins would have informed her last night.
‘Are they up to something? I hope not!’
They immediately looked for a seat when they got inside. Rawbin led her to a bench close to the fan. He picked that spot so she won’t feel hot.
The mass was about to start when someone poked her back. Lemon was shocked to see Homme, Kevz, and Drew sitting behind them.
They waved with evil grins pasted on their faces. On Homme and Kevz’s faces to be exact, because Drew, as usual, was wearing his poker face.
Rawbin turned his head when he noticed Lemon was looking behind them and his forehead creased at what he saw. Kevz’s even mouthed ‘what’ to Rawbin as he’s looking lost and confused.
They focused on the mass until it ended. When they came out, the three stooges were already waiting for them, “Where are you going?” Homme asked.
“We’re having lunch,” Rawbin replied. “You?”
“We’re eating lunch too,” then he smiled at Lemon teasingly.
She shook her head and smirked. She knew there was something wrong and now she’s starting to be able to point it out. It looked like they wanted to annoy Rawbin, that’s why they’re doing this.
“We’ll leave after lunch. We need to go to the department store for some stuff,” Homme informed the two.
To shorten the discussion, Lemon asked them to have lunch together at the nearest pizza parlor. Rawbin placed the orders and the trio left right after eating.
True to their words, they did leave to not bother Lemon and Rawbin further anymore. “They’re really crazy,” he said while shaking his head.
“True, they made an effort just to annoy us,” she added while chuckling, echoing his sentiment.
“So, where do you wanna go after this?” he asked.
“You? Where do you plan to take me?”
“Hmm, we can go watch a movie or go for a stroll in the park somewhere nearby, which do you prefer?”
“Both?”
“Are you sure?” he asked in confirmation.
“Yeah, it’s only 1 PM, unless you wanna go home this early,” then he shook his head.
“So which one first?”
“Hmm, the sun’s still bright outside, let’s just watch a movie first,” he answered.
“Okay then, let’s go?” He then stood up to pay their bill. Rawbin didn’t bother waiting for the waiter to get it for them because there was a long line of people waiting to be assisted.
After paying, they walked out of the pizza parlor and headed for the 4th level of the mall. When they got there, Lemon and Rawbin decided what movie to watch and Rawbin did the honor of buying their tickets.
They opted for a rom-com movie for its chill vibe. He even bought popcorn and soft drinks even though they just had their lunch.
He held her hand as he led her to their seats, as there was no guard to light the way. He only let go of her hand when they were seated. It sort of made her heart flutter. He’s such a gentleman and he definitely earned some plus points for that.
Rawbin placed the box of popcorn between them. He started eating while they were waiting for the movie to start. When his hand hit Lemon’s hand, he was quick to apologize.
“It’s okay,” and when she turned to her side to look at him, he was literally blushing and Lemon could see that though it was dark inside the theater.
‘Seriously? How can this guy be a playboy if simple incidents like that can already cause him to blush?’
She can’t help but chuckle at the thought. “Why?” he asked.
“Nothing, I just remembered something,” she told him while smiling.
Rawbin then faced the screen and so did Lemon. They watched the movie quietly until it started to feel cold so Lemon hugged herself.
“Are you cold?” he asked in a worried tone.
“A bit.”
She heard him curse so she suddenly turned to look at him, “Sorry, I forgot to bring a jacket,” he said apologetically.
“No, it’s fine, really. You don’t have to worry,” she told him in an assuring tone.
But it seemed like the aircon inside the theater was on full blast and she was already starting to shiver. She’s wearing a sleeveless dress and it’s a bit short.
He must have noticed that she was already feeling uncomfortable so he again turned to her. “Is it ok?” he asked while lifting his arm. Lemon assumed he was placing it over her shoulders so she nodded at him.
He pulled her closer and that started to make her feel warm. Not sure if it’s human warmth or warmth from her burning cheeks.
When he pulled her closer, she was able to inhale his scent. Lemon was expecting something spicy or musky, but to her surprise, he smelled like baby powder.
“You smell nice,” Lemon told him frankly and his body stiffened, as his heartbeat grew louder. She smiled at the back of her head. ‘Is he really a playboy?’
She might have come out a bit straightforward or whatever he’d want to call it. He can even call it a ‘Hokage move,’ just like how Kale would refer to it. But hey, she grew up in France and the people there are very expressive.
She moved away from him to look at his face. “Hey, did I make you feel uncomfortable?” she managed to ask.
Rawbin smiled and shook his head before pulling her back to him. ‘This guy is sweet alright and I’m starting to like the feeling.’
The movie ended with Lemon enclosed in Rawbin’s arms and her head on his shoulder. Again, he helped her on their way out but she asked him to go ahead as she needed to go to the restroom.
Before going out, Lemon checked her phone but there was no call or text there. It seemed like they were letting her enjoy her date and she couldn’t help but smile.
When she came out, Rawbin was leaning on the wall not far from the restroom’s door. He does look like a model.
No wonder the girls can’t help but take a second look or stare at her when they pass by them. He’s just that eye-catching.
“Hey, let’s go?” Lemon asked in a low voice and he nodded as he offered his arm which she accepted without a second thought.
They walked out of the moviehouse and headed straight to the parking lot where their family driver was waiting. “Rob, has your driver eaten?” she asked when she remembered that they’d been at the mall since lunchtime.
“What did you call me?” he asked without answering her question.
“Rob?” Then he smiled sweetly.
“That sounded nice,” he said, still smiling. “And to answer your question, yes, he already ate. I texted him earlier to remind him to eat lunch ’cause it will take us a while since we’re watching a movie,” he explained.
Lemon nodded at him then she slid inside the car when he opened its door for her. They went to a park not too far from the mall.
The sun’s almost ready to set and there are not many people at the park. He held her hand on their way to the swing and he let go when they were seated.
Looking at him, Lemon was starting to like everything. His looks, the feeling of being with him. The things they do though it’s just their first date.
She can’t help but consider him as a boyfriend. It might be too fast, but who cares?
