Book:A Farewell to Mr. Luo Published:2024-5-1

Xia Weiwei was deeply touched for sure. In those years, Yan Shaoxuan fought against Luo Chejue with the Yan family for her, and Yan Ming didn’t say anything about it. Even when he didn’t know that she was his daughter, he did his best to help her, including those years when she was abroad, just because she was Bai Yan’s daughter.
“Thank you”, Xia Weiwei said sincerely, and no longer rejected his kindness.
In the end, Yan Ming saw the two children, the vivacious Shengsheng and the well-behaved Jingnian. Yan Ming was surprised and also excited when he heard Xia Weiwei ask them to call him “grandpa”, because it meant that Xia Weiwei had admitted that he was her father.
When Yan Shaoxuan was about to leave, he suddenly took Xia Weiwei into his arms, as if he poured all his heart and unspeakable feelings into this hug, so hard and so… reluctant to part!
“Weiwei, remember, there are still inseparable blood ties between us! Don’t get wronged again. You have a father and, a brother now!”
Xia Weiwei’s eyes reddened instantly, and she held him tightly as well. “Hmm! Thank you… Brother!”
When sending them to the car, Luo Chejue kept a low profile and showed his sincerity and attitude when making promises to Yan Ming, which got recognized at last.
After the car drove away, Xia Weiwei rushed to Luo Chejue and put her arms around his neck. Self-accusation and guilt made her cry bitterly. “Jue, am I being selfish? Shaoxuan has given me so much, but I’m relieved after I knew he’s my brother. I love you! I don’t want to leave you! But I don’t want to hurt him either! I owe him! I owe him for the rest of my life! I just called him brother. Was he hurt? I know he must be! How could I have gone so far! How could I!”
Luo Chejue held her face, kissed her incessantly, and sucked away her tears. “Weiwei, don’t blame yourself. It’s all my fault. I was too proud to say I love you when you asked me this question back then. You feel sorry for him because of me! Please don’t blame yourself! Your feelings, good or bad, will be borne by me. I will be held accountable! I will pay him back! Please let me make you happy. Your happiness is what the Yan family wants to see as well.”
Xia Weiwei said, half crying, “Luo Chejue, I used to think that because of loving you, I lost my father, mother, sister, Aunt Lan, and friends; because of loving you, I went crazy, loved and then hated you; because of loving you, I lost my child, was disfigured, and thought that I couldn’t walk again for the rest of my life; but now, I have my father and brother, Jingnian is still with me, and you love me as well! If loving you is destined to go through sufferings before happiness, then I gladly endure all those hardships!”
“Your suffering, your hatred, your love, your pain, and everything about you can only be given by me, Luo Chejue! In this life, you can’t escape! You can’t hide either!”
The last word disappeared between their lips. Luo Chejue desperately bit the woman in his arms who made him crazy, and they walked all the way to the room.
On the plane, Yan Ming asked Yan Shaoxuan, “Why didn’t you let me tell Weiwei the truth?”
He knew very well how painful his son was now. Compared to Luo Chejue, he hoped that his daughter could be together with Shaoxuan. He had seen Shaoxuan’s affection for Weiwei since childhood, while Luo Chejue was too aggressive and Weiwei could only back down when being with him.
“Weiwei is sentimental. If I spoke it out, she would go with me against her own will. Even if she didn’t do that, there would always be feelings of entanglement between her and Luo Chejue because of me. I don’t want to put her in such an awkward position. Dad, thank you for not saying it too!”
Yan Ming looked at Yan Shaoxuan and heaved a sigh. “No one knows better than me how it feels to be forced to give up the love of my life!”
In that very year, because he owed a favor to a friend, he had to marry his seriously ill sister and promised not to reveal the reason. He knew that his friend wanted to help her sister to achieve her wish, but still, Yan Ming married her as his wife in name only.
His wife was so depressed that she adopted a child who looked like Yan Ming from the orphanage and claimed that he was their child. That child was Yan Shaoxuan.
When Yan Shaoxuan suffered from the pain that the girl he loved the most was his sister and told him that Weiwei was his daughter, Yan Ming also confided Yan Shaoxuan’s birth secret to him.
It never occurred to him that this child was such a fool!
Yan Shaoxuan seemed to see Weiwei smile to him when they were young, saying, “Brother Shaoxuan, you are my brother now, and when we grow up, will you be Weiwei’s groom?”
If he couldn’t share his life with her, it was another kind of happiness to be her brother and to protect her in silence.
Weiwei, my greatest happiness is to see you happy!
