It was a Saturday and Layton didn’t go to work that day which meant he was home all day. He walked through the corridor and to Gemini’s room.
“Hey what is it?” The girl asked walking towards him.
“Get ready we’re not having lunch here.”
“What we’re going to a restaurant?” She suggested and nodded.
“Yeah but in this compass. It’s recommended that we should. ”
“Why is there some event happening.” He nodded.
“Okay, I’ll get ready.” Layton left. Gemini made her way to her closet and wore a dark blue dress that went up to her knees and she soon left with Layton
Andrea walked into a fashion shop looking for an attire that would suit her as she looked she bumped into some girl.
“Watch it,” Andrea complained as she dust her dress.
“Am so sorry I was on a call and I didn’t hear or see you.” The girl apologized and fixed her hair.
“It’s fine, can’t find my way either. Tried looking for something but I can’t find it.” Andrea looked around.
“I can help you, it seems like your in a harry.” The girl said and Andrea turned to her then smiled.
“Really? Well yes, being in a hurry.” The girl nodded and packed her phone in her purse.
“First am going to have to know what you’re looking for.” Andrea thought.
“I want a dress that is eye-catching and formal.” The girl nodded and led Andrea to a section of fancy but flirty dresses.
“What’s your name?”
“Am Jennifer and you?”
“Andrea, am just surprised it’s so hard to meet people who are kind like you.” Jennifer smiled.
“Well, we have to look out for each other right?” Andrea nodded and gazed at the dresses.
“What color do you want?” Andrea thought.
“Red.” She remembered that red was Layton’s favorite color. Jennifer took Andrea to a specific aisle filled with gorgeous red dresses.
“You do know this place.” Andrea smiled and the girl giggled. The girl took a dress off a hanger.
“What about this one, it looks really nice and it has all the items you wanted.”
Andrea felt the dress’s fabric Jennifer couldn’t help but notice the wedding ring on her finger.
“Oh, your married?” Andrea looked at the ring on her finger, she still kept the ring from her previous marriage on her. She smiled.
“You could say so.” Jennifer frowned hearing Andrea’s reply.
“What happened? Let me guess he’s cheating on you?” Andrea turned to the girl.
“What else. I see you also married.” Jennifer sighed.
“I don’t want to talk about it. We don’t talk anymore and we just got married some weeks ago. He’s not usually home and he comes back smelling like perfume.” Andrea held Jennifer’s shoulder.
“It happens, dear. You give them all you have and they just don’t appreciate it. You see they’ll marry you but they’ll replace you.” Andrea took a dress off the hanger.
“Your right, I just didn’t want to accept but I can’t deny it either so what did you do or what am I going to do?”
“Hit him back hard.” Jennifer got confused.
“What?” She took out another dress and compared the two.
“Do something that will hurt them more and make sure it scars them to make it easy for you to go after the thing they love the most.” Jennifer thought it did hurt her the fact that Robert was cheating on her but she was tired of crying, she wanted him to know how she felt.
“Your right, I mean he won’t stop till he gets a taste of his own medicine.” Andrea smiled.
“Just like am going to hurt mine.” Jennifer pointed at the first dress.
“I like this one better.” Andrea took one more look at the dress and nodded. They walked to the cashier with bags in their hands and played for the dresses. They stopped by some café.
“You’re a strong girl Andrea, not most people would do what you do.”
“I just don’t like looking stupid so do me a favor and don’t be stupid.” They both laughed. Jennifer really adored Andrea, she didn’t understand why her husband would go and treat her like dirt as she was beautiful.
“How long will you do that to him?” Andrea thought then shrugged.
“Not any time from now, probably till he begs. You see am not someone who enjoys being tortured.” Just as they talked Jennifer’s phone rang and Andrea smiled when she saw Gemini’s number. A while passes when Jennifer answered the call.
“I see your friends with Gemini.” Jennifer looked up.
“Yeah, you know her?” Since Jennifer was a friend of Gemini she thought it would be fun seeing their friendship shutter after all married women understand each other more.
“Yeah, I know her am just surprised your friends with her.” Jennifer raised a brow.
“She’s the reason am not married anymore.” Jennifer couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
“No you must be mistaken, Gemini could never do that…. she’s kind.” Andrea laughed.
“Don’t you know there’s no such thing as perfect? Everyone has some evil in them.” Jennifer remembered what Gemini told her about Andrea and got completely confused.
“But she told me you cheated on him that’s why he left you.”
