Right now I’m inside the car with Romano ready to go to the doctor’s place whom Romano’s father recommended, my chest is beating so fast,
What if I die during the surgery, I never plan to go this far.
Robert said Declan’s wealth will only be signed into my name when I give birth. getting this surgery does not guarantee that the properties will be ours
“Should I tell Romano or not?” I ask myself fumbling with my fingers as many thoughts run through my head
“Are you okay…..?” Romano asked, halting the car as he turned to face me
“I…. I….. I’m fine”
“No you don’t look fine, tell me what’s bothering you?”
I turned away from him and look out through the car window,
“Tell me, babe, what’s making you sad?”
That question sounded like a loud bang in my head, I flung his hand away in anger catching him off guard
“Babe……!!”
“Romano, did you just ask if I’m okay? I’m your girlfriend for God damn sake and your father is using me to achieve his goals not minding if my life is at stake and you’re asking if I am okay? Seriously” I thundered in anger letting out all my emotions
“Babe how could you ever think that I don’t care…..?”
“Ohh do you? Cause right now I don’t understand what’s right and what’s wrong anymore” I muttered slowly and for the first time in a long time tears drip from my eyes and fell right on my cheeks
“You know I hate to see your tears,” He said and shifted closer and slowly, he brought his warm hand to my cheeks wiping my tears away
Slowly his face leaned closer, our hot breath fanned each other, his sweet intoxicating scent engulfed me
And right at that moment, I forgot every of my problems, I bit my lower lips and closed my eyes waiting for his sumptuous lips to cover my aching lips
I was caught off guard when his tongue landed on my cheeks, I was shocked but only for a moment, I closed my eyes and circled my hand around his neck, I pulled him closer, and slowly he begins to lick away my tears, my pain a, my fears, and my insecurity
I pulled him so close not getting enough of his warm lips, and that moment I knew it was the right time to tell him what Robert said yesterday
“Robert said he can only sign the property into my name after I gave birth”
I felt him stop immediately, I balled my fist beside me praying for him not to get angry with me, I closed my eyes tightly not wanting to see his reaction
I felt his two hands cupping my cheeks and slowly, I opened my eyes and was surprised to see a tender look on his face, he kept on caressing my cheeks lovingly
“I’m sorry” He muttered confusing me,
“Why are you sorry” I whispered my voice sounding crack
“For putting you through all this, I know you’re not a bad person, but you turned bad all because of me”
“That’s because I love you……” I smile using my left hand to caress his cheeks
“And I love you more….” He smiles wider placing a lingering kiss on my lip,
He shifted backward and suddenly his warmth left me, his expression suddenly changed making me wonder if I said something wrong
I watched as he held onto the steering with a tight fist, his knuckles is turning white already and thin lines set on his forehead
He was gritting his teeth endlessly more like he’s battling with his inner beast,
“Ba……” I made to call him but then he turned towards me and muttered
“You’re not getting any surgery” Was his last word before he reversed the car in a great speed, he sped off and started driving back home,
“Why did you change your mind your Dad is going to be angry…” I yelled cause he was driving at high speed and will be hard for him to hear me
“I don’t care but I’m no longer putting your life in danger…..!” He yelled tightening his hold on the steering, as he step on the wheel increasing the speed more
He drove straight to his father’s house, I’ve not been there before but from the anger on his face I know he’s definitely driving there, he drove for more than forty minutes, and right now we were in a deserted area and I can only see one mansion at the middle making me wonder why he would want to leave in this kind of place
Romano drove into the mansion and didn’t bother to park well before stepping out of the car, he started walking into the house at a fast pace, I got down from the car and ran after him
He burst the door open and entered, but his dad was nowhere to be you d in the living room,
“Dad….”
“Dad……”
“Dad….” Romano yelled but his dad wasn’t answering, I guess that upset him cause he ran upstairs banging on every door he comes across,
I stood in the living room waiting for him, he rushed downstairs sweating, obviously from anger cause he didn’t see his dad
“Boy, what are you doing here….!” We had a voice and look upstairs to see Romano’s father in a suit with a stick of cigarette in his mouth
I watch as Romano balled his fist in anger, I walked closer to him and begin to pat him on his shoulder, trying to calm him down
I watch as his father begins to walk down the stairs smirking while puffing out smoke, he was on the last step when he suddenly stopped
He look at his wristwatch and his smirking face turned into a frown
He growled warnings
“You people are supposed to be at my doctor’s place by now” He muttered his gaze focused on us
This time around it was Romano that laughed in a sinister manner,
He held onto my left hand and slowly he walked closer to his father
“She’s not getting any surgery,” He said to his father in a daring manner
“Are you challenging me boy”
“Call it anything you want but Rose is not getting any surgery”
“You’re delaying our revenge” He snarled at Romano
“It is my revenge, allow me to do how I please….”
I was happy seeing how Romano is taking a bold step all because of me, he was even ready to go against his father just for me
I freed my hand from Romano and walk closer to his dad, I said to him
“Let Romano live his life, stop controlling him, for once in your life Mr. Quavo acts like a Dad and not a boss, he is your son….!”
I screamed into his father
“You’re making a big mistake son”
Romano ignored him and took my hand, we started walking away when suddenly he said
“If you disobey me, then consider him dead”
Romano halted on his step, his hold on my hand tighten but I took it all in
