“No…. no…no.. this can’t be…. no!!!??” I screamed rushing upstairs to get my phone after Robert left in anger
I ran toward our room bursting the door open, I picked up my phone from the bedside table failing Romano’s number immediately
I kept pacing up and down waiting for Romano to pick up the damn call I’m going insane already, all our months of hard work and effort is about to go down the drain in a blink of an eye,
I…. I never thought a day will come when he will suspect my pregnancy, I thought he loves me so much to do that, but I know whos feeding him with bad ideas, it’s his mother but I won’t let her never
If she continues to be an obstacle to me, then I’ll tell Romano to eliminate her
“Babe….” He answered after the phone has rang for ages
“Where were you I’ve been calling for ages”
“Be calmed babe, I was in the bathroom”
“I’m coming over Romano, we’ve got issues I think we’re about to get caught”
“Shit…. what happened?” He cursed
“I don’t have the damn time to talk on the phone, I’m coming over” I muttered and hung up the phone
I took my car key and rushed downstairs, I walked out of the mansion and walked towards the parking lot. I entered my car and ignited it back to life before driving off.
I kept driving at full speed, not minding the risk, I maneuver many cars and keep bumping into other cars, finally, I arrived at Romano’s house
I didn’t bother parking safely, before jumping out of the car, I rush into the mansion and was surprised to see Robert and his Dad pacing around the living room
“Baby….” He called and rushed towards me engulfing me in a tight hug
” Are you okay…hope you didn’t get hurt?” He muttered all at once checking me out to see if I’m hurt, I couldn’t take my eyes away from him, the way he loves me always makes me feel like I can’t survive without him
Even in this situation he still cares about me, what else do I need if not him
Slowly I cupped his face and showered kisses all over his face, after which I place a lingering kiss on his lips but my cunning boyfriend was fast enough to pull me closer, his hands circled around my waist and he deepened the kiss immediately, sending me into oblivion with his intoxicating lips and making me forget about my problems at the moment
“Boy get your head straight…..!” Romano’s Dad thundered and we parted immediately
“We have issues at hand, this your lovey-dovey affair can wait for later….!” He growls
“Sorry dad” Romano apologize, while I lowered my gaze to the ground feeling embarrassed already
“Rose…..” He called and my head snapped up immediately
“How could you be so careless, I thought you were smart what happened?”
”Robert is suspecting that I’m not pregnant”
“How did that happen?” Romano screamed
I couldn’t talk, I lowered my gaze to my belly, and guess they did too cause I look up and they had disappointed looks on especially his Dad
“How could you be so careless…!”
“But Sir…..?”
“Don’t……don’t you dare talk when I’m talking, if you are not careless you would have known that by now your belly needs to be a little bigger and not like a woman that’s not pregnant”
”But I don’t think Robert is the problem, I think someone is definitely manipulating him and that’s his mum, maybe we should eliminate her?” I said looking at Romano
“No……we will do no such thing,” Romano’s Dad said
”I think Dad is right those people are very powerful, and wealthy the cops will definitely track us down, we can’t make a mistake after coming so far”
“So what do you all suggest I do?”
“Romano you’ll take her to my personal Surgeon, he’ll bump her belly”
“What…. pump? What if I die”
“You’re not better than the dead are you?”
“Dad stop…..!” Romano screamed at him
His father growled angrily and walked closer to Romano, he was holding his walking stick, his cap glued on his head like those mafians villains while he stare into Romano’s eye, at this point, I’m scared of his dad for some reason he gives me goosebumps
He pointed his walking stick direct into Romano’s chest, staring at him eyeball to eyeball he smirk before whispering
“I told you from the start never to fall in love, but you foolishly let your emotions get the best of you, love makes you weak, and just like that, you’re slowly turning into a weakling”
“I’m not a weakling dad”
“We’ll see about that” He smiled dangerously at Romano before turning toward me
“Failure to carry out this assignment consider yourself dead” He snarled at me showing his pairs of golden teeth
“Dad……!” Romano screamed in anger but his father ignored him and keep walking towards the door, he suddenly halted on his step, stumping his walking stick on the ground, everywhere turned silence
“8. Am tomorrow, you two should be at my doctor’s place failure to do that, you’ll all hear from me” He adjusted his hat and walk out
I sighed releasing the breath I never knew I was holding, I took my car keys and made to leave the house but Romano held onto my right hand
“Are you leaving so soon?”
“And why are you asking?”
“Because I missed you” He smiled walking closer
“Seriously……. so you still have the energy for sex even in a critical situation like this?”
“Rose listen I’m not talking about sex, I just want to spend some time with you”
“Romano, did you take a minute of your time and think about what will happen to me tomorrow if I die getting my belly pumped?”
“god forbid that, babe why are you being negative?”
I turned to face him,
”Romano I thought you loved me?”
“Of course why are you asking?” He walked closer g the space between us
“I’m starting to doubt if you really love me or you’re just using me to achieve your selfish aims”
“Rose….!!” He yelled hurt visible in his eyes, fuck me I was so angry and confused that I let my emotions get the best of me, how can I question Romano’s love for me when all he has ever done was to love me
“Seriously you asked me this….?” He whispered slowly

Minutes later I drove into the mansion, I saw Robert’s car parked in the garage which means he’s back. I stepped out of my car and locked it before entering the mansion.
I entered the living room and saw Robert seated calmly his gaze trailed me but I cared less, I had enough for today already, I was tired and didn’t have the energy for anything, I started climbing the stairs
“I have agreed to sign the family wealth into your name” I halted on my step and turned immediately to make sure I wasn’t imagining things
“Did you say something?” I asked as my heartbeat make tumbling sounds
He stood up with his two hands tucked into his pocket, he started walking closer to me, his gaze not leaving mine, he stopped meters away from me before repeating
“I said I have agreed to sign the Declan’s wealth into your name”
“Really…..?”
”Yes but on one condition”
