I couldn’t control my tears, I slumped down on the couch, as tears blurred my vision, what has suddenly come over Robert?
Why Is he behaving like this? His father is lying sick in the hospital and all he could think of is his selfish and ungrateful wife

I heard the clicking sound of the door and raise my head to see its Jericho
“Aunty…..” He rushed toward me engulfing me in a tight hug
“My dear…. its been long don’t tell me you forgot about us….” I smile as he pulled away
“Aunty…. are you okay? you’re crying”
“Ohh don’t mind me, dear, I’m fine just….”
“No Aunt, you don’t look fine is everything okay?”
I sighed, deciding to let him know what his best friend is up to. Jericho is like a brother to Robert, he left years ago to pursue his father’s business outside the country
I look at him and sighed, Jericho your friend has changed
“Aunty calm down and tell me what’s happening okay”
“Alright so…..”
“Robert got married to Marrisa Bonifacio at first we forced him to do that thinking as time goes on he’ll learn to love Rissa, I knew he had a relationship with Rose but he said that was based on a contract and nothing serious, as time goes on his attitude toward Rissa became worse, he never showed her love, all Rissa experienced was hatred and pains and finally, his mistress got pregnant for him and that same day Rissa couldn’t take the shame, she signed the divorce paper which Robert has been bugging her to sign and she left. The saddening path is since Rissa left for Mexico, her parents have not heard from her, nobody knows what happened to her, and now my……”
“Calm down Aunt….”
“My husband is lying in the hospital, he’s in a coma and all Robert could think about is signing the families wealth into Rose’s name”
“What……! Robert want to do that?”
I shook my head regretfully not knowing what to say or answer Jericho
“Is Robert okay?, Don’t worry Aunt I’ll speak to Robert later, but now I need you to take me to uncle in the hospital I need to pay him a visit”
“Alright just that constantly seeing my husband like that and knowing that Robert is the cause of everything saddens my heart”
“Robert…. how?”
I puff out air feeling emotionally drained of going back to memory lane
“My husband was talking to me on the phone, he was telling me how Robert wanted him to sign the family property into his name, he was angered and furious on the phone and then…. he wasn’t looking, I heard his screams and that was it”
“Damn….. Robert is not thinking”
“Rose is seriously manipulating my son, she’s using the love he has for her as bait and she’s manipulating him to do things it’s unfair” I cried tightening my fist on the couch
“Is alright aunt I promise to speak with Robert, I’ll definitely talk sense into him”
“What if he doesn’t listen, his wife won’t let him”
“I won’t give up aunt” I watch as Jericho held onto my hand
“He needs help”
“I’ll aunt, I promise to do everything to bring Robert out of Rose’s trap”
“Thank you so much Jericho”
“It’s nothing aunt, come on let’s go see uncle”
“Alright” I muttered, and stood up, I made to take my car keys
“No…no.. aunt come on I’ll drive you”
“But…..”
“Don’t worry aunt I got this and besides you can’t drive in this mood”
“You’re right dear”
“Come let’s go” He paved the way for me to pass,
“Thank you” I muttered to him suddenly missing my son.
We walk to the garage where he packed the car he came with, I watched him rush and open the car door for me
“Thank you ” I smile and entered the car, he closed the car door and walk to the driver’s seat, he entered and closed the door before driving off
The ride to the hospital wasn’t long, Jericho drove into the hospital and parked safely,
I watch him hurry to my side of the door, he opened the door for me
“Thank dear but you don’t have to do that”
“Come on aunt it’s nothing”
We started walking into the hospital, I led the way while he followed behind
We stopped before the guards that were
guarding the front door
“Welcome ma”
“It’s fine” I replied them, I pulled the door open and entered, my chest tightened seeing my husband still lying the way I left him, I didn’t know when tears slipped from my eyes and fell,
“Aunt it’s okay, you don’t have to continue crying”
“When is all this going to end I need him to wake up please….” I cried losing every wall of fate I built around me
“Uncle will be fine aunt, you just need to have faith”
“So what if that day never comes”
“God forbid that happens,” Jericho said rejecting my negative thought
I sighed, Jericho walked closer to me and engulfed me in a tight hug patting me in a calm manner, I just laid on his chest letting out all my tears, this is too much for me, this isn’t what I wanted
“It’s going to be fine aunt, everything is going to be fine” Jericho muttered soothingly to my ears.
“I hope so, I don’t know for how much longer I can cope it’s getting too much to handle especially when Robert is losing his mind”
“You’re the only one that uncle has, please don’t give up on him too, I promise to talk to Robert”
I raise my head from Jericho’s chest and looked at my husband, remembering all that Rose is doing thinking she’ll get away with it
“Never, I’ll never give up on my husband not when the battle line has been drawn” I muttered with all determination
“Aunt, what do you mean?”
“Jericho helps me keep a close eye on Rose, something isn’t right about that woman”
