I couldn’t sleep the whole night, not after Rose threatened me with my unborn baby, I became confused on what to do. I don’t want to lose Rose neither do I want to lose my unborn baby
Rose is the air that I breathe, she’s the only thing that adds meaning to my life, I’m nothing without her and it’s driving me insane.
She thought my parents hated her, and that’s her reason for wanting to sign the whole of Declan’s wealth into her name, her reasons are understandable but certainly not at this time
My father is lying unconscious in the hospital and I can’t make any decision without his consent especially when it has to do with Declan’s empire, precautions have to be taken
Rose left even before I could wake up this morning, I’m sure she’s still upset, but today, I’ve made up my mind to meet my mind, maybe she will give me her consent or better still have a better option for me
This whole scenario is driving me crazy and Rose is not helping issues at all,
“Robert……!!” I heard my name and jerk up from my seat immediately jolting out of my thought, I was caught off guard since I was drowning in my own thought
I look up and was surprised on whos standing before me
“Jericho….” I called feeling excited, he’s my best friend that traveled out of New York years ago
“Rob come on, I’ve stood here for the past five minutes”
“Sorry bro was just lost in thought come here it’s been long”
I walk towards him as we did our usual brother hug,
“Yes…”
“So when did you arrive?”
“Come on man, I need to sit down” He emphasized with open arms
“Ohh dirty pardon my manners, please have a seat” I muttered pulling out the visitor’s seat for him
“I arrived this morning and decided to see you after a series of stories I heard from my dad, come on man don’t tell me you really divorced that pretty wife of yours”
“Rissa…pretty?, come on man don’t exaggerate, bro I don’t give a damn about that woman”
“Trust me, bro, you lost a gem”
“Let’s talk about your trip so how was Jamaica”
“All good you can see I’m looking sweet”
”Obviously….” I smiled
“Bro…. I heard what happened to your dad, I’m really sorry about that”
“It’s fine we’re pulling through”
“Baby……” The door clicked open and Rose walked in, immediately she saw Jericho, she halted on her footsteps and turned toward me,
“Sweetheart…”
“Ohhh…I see you have visitors, I’ll see you at home then”
“But you just arrived”
“Yeah…but it’s not I have a meeting actually, just wanted to say hi”
“Okay….. see you later, love you”
“I love you too” She smiled and took one last glance at Jericho she left.
I look at Jericho to see the look of disgust on his face
“Are you okay bro?”
“Who’s she?”
“Ohh…that’s my fiance, Rose she’s pregnant for me, I’m going to be a father soon isn’t that good”
“She looks familiar, like someone from my past”
“Come on Jerry, I’m sure it’s a misunderstanding”
“I don’t think so Rob, I’m sure she’s the lady I’m talking about, bro she’s dangerous you got to believe me”
“Enough Jerry…. I won’t have you come to my office to accuse my wife….!”
“Are you raising your voice at me….., I’m only looking out for you”
“I’m sorry for yelling at you Jerry but can we talk about another thing, I mean you just came back”
“Fine so tell me, how was life so far”

It’s been hours since Jericho left, I’m in my office contemplating on whether to go to mum and discuss about Rose’s intentions with her or not
After much thinking, I decided to give her a call and let her know that I’m coming
I took my phone from the table and dialed her number
“Why do you call….” She picked on the first ring
“Mum how are you ”
“Do you care?”
“Yes mum, I do care”
“Good for you then…”
“Mum, are you at home, I need to come see you”
“For what exactly”
“We’ll talk more when I come”
“Okay” Was her response before she hung up the phone,
I stood up immediately and take my car key before leaving the office, I step out of the company and entered my car, I ignited it back to life before driving out of the company
The drive to my family mansion only took thirty minutes, I drove into the mansion and parked safely before stepping down from my car, I walked into the house and met mum parking some clothes in a bag maybe she’s going to see dad in the hospital
“Young man, what are you doing here?” She asked without looking up, guess she already knew it’s me
“Mum please calm down we need to talk”
“About what….?!” She asked sharply throwing glares at me
I sighed, thinking of the best way to calm her down
“Can you at least seat”
“You have three minutes to talk, your dad is waiting for me” She replied standing up
“It’s about Rose”
Her mood changed immediately, she focused all her attention on me
“Speak I’m listening” She muttered folding her two hands below her boobs, I know m could be tough-headed,
“She threatens to take my child away from me if I don’t sign the Declan’s wealth into her name”
“I’m ashamed of you Robert”
“Mum….”
“For once Robert, act and think like a Declan, don’t allow a mere woman to ride you like she wants, you’re not a toy come on boy eyes open!!”
“Mum, it’s my child that we are talking about”
“It’s her child too, she shouldn’t threaten you with it, how am I? I sure she’s even pregnant with that tummy that’s always flat”

“The day will come when you’ll regret ever losing Rissa, mark my words Robert Declan, now leave my house”

“Get out young man out, your father is lying there fighting for his life and all you could think of is Rose, your father is there because of your foolishness, now if you don’t leave I’ll be forced to reset that brain of yours to factory mode, get out…”
“It’s okay mum, I’m leaving”
“Leave….” She muttered tears trailing down her eyes, I was leaving but I was saddened, and helpless
