I tried so hard to blink back the tears but they kept on flowing on their own, I was walking on the road lost in my own world, I was looking tattered, my hair was scattered but that was the least on my mind
People were all staring at me like I’m some lunatic, I was in pain. How could Robert do this to me?
I’ve done nothing but to love him, I wanted him to see that I cared for him, I wanted him to know that I can be there for him, I wanted him to know that I could die when I told him that I loved him, and all he ever did was to break me
“Get out of the way……..!!!” I heard a thunderous scream, and look beside me to see a truck speeding forward and people were screaming
I didn’t know how I did it but ran out of the road immediately and the truck sped pass
I held onto my chest looking at nothing, my heartbeat was thundering repeatedly and my breath was erratic, I sat by the roadside trying my best to calm my nerves
“You should be thanking God, how can you suddenly lose your senses in the middle of the road all because of a man?” My conscience taunted me
I sighed, I couldn’t even talk right now, minutes later I felt better, I stood up and flag down a cab
I told him my address before sliding into his cab, I prayed silently for my parents not to see my trending videos, cause right now I’m sure those staff of Rose must have uploaded them and Robert could care less about this
“We’re here mam” The Cab man’s voice brought me out my thought
“Ohh….” I muttered and look out in realization seeing we were in front of the mansion, I stepped down from the car and paid the cab driver before walking into the mansion,
“Shit…..” I cursed seeing my parent’s car outside and Robert’s parent’s car outside, It dawned on me that I’m in a mess, Dad will be so furious at me and mum will be so mad at me
I stood outside building up the courage to face them, I know so well that mum and dad will be so disappointed in me right now, but I’ll make them understand that I’m ready to do anything to make my marriage with Robert work
I pulled the doorknob and entered to see all of them seated in the living room
“Sweetheart….” Mum rushed towards me and engulfed me in a tight hug
“Mum you’re choking me”
“Ohh…I’m sorry sweetheart ” She loosened her hold on me and cup my cheeks
“Rissa darling, why didn’t you tell us Robert was like this all along?” Mrs. Declan asked with a worried face,
I looked at mum and sighed
“I’m sorry Mrs. Declan I thought I could handle it”
“Come here, you need to seat down” Mum walked to the couch and made me sit down beside Dad
“Honey, how are you feeling now?” Dad asked holding me on the shoulder
“I’m fine dad”
“You don’t have to worry dear, I already called Robert and he’ll be here any minute from now” Mr. Declan assured me with a concerned
I nodded my head, I pray Robert doesn’t get angry
Minutes later the door pulled open and Robert entered looking angry
“Mum, dad….” He called looking around to see all of them seated
“Are you that cheap…!” He pointed at me in an accusing manner
“It’s not what you think,” I said and stood up
“How could you be so foolish to call everybody already, is this the type of marriage you want us to have…!!”
“Robert shut the hell up before I shut that filthy mouth of yours!” Mrs. Declan yelled at him
“Excuse me mum”
“Excuse you, young man, is this how you plan to run your family, how could you treat this innocent girl so bad, she did nothing but love you….. can’t you see,” She said almost screaming
“I’m sorry mum, but I told you and Dad I never wanted her, I never wanted this in this first place”
“Can you listen to your son Mr. Declan” Mrs. Declan called on her husband
He stood up and walked toward Robert
“Listen, young man, you better accept your wife and treat her right or get ready to lose everything you’ve worked so hard for”
“Dad, you can’t threaten me in my own house….”
“Watch me do that” Mr. Declan dared him, he took Mrs. Declan’s hand and left
Dad stood up and so was mum, I watch him walk close to Robert
“My daughter loving you wasn’t a crime, her only crime was choosing a lunatic like you, mark my word if anything ever happens to my daughter, I will forget my relationship with your family and show you that she’s also the daughter of a billionaire, she’s not from the slumps always remember that”
“It’s okay honey” Mum pulled Dad away from Robert
“Stay safe honey” She walked toward me and hugged me for the last time before leaving with Dad, who gave me a reassuring smile
“Robert….” I made to call him but he eyed me dangerously before walking upstairs
I sighed and sat back on the couch not knowing what to do, Robert probably misunderstood me thinking I’m the one that called mum and dad, I need to clear him that I wasn’t the person
I stood up and walked upstairs, I pulled the door open and saw Robert looking out through the window with his two hands tucked inside his pant pocket as usual
“I wasn’t the one who called mum and dad, I know you might probably be thinking that I did but trust me, I didn’t…”
“Can you give me one fucking reason why I should trust a bitch like you?” He glared turning toward me
“Roberts, you treated me wrongly, yet I let it slide. What will I do to make you see how much I love you?”
“It’s simple…. Rissa” He stood three paces away from me
“Then say it and I promise you it will be done”
“Let’s get a divorce”

“Yes Rissa, if you thoroughly love me then please let’s get a divorce, ” He pleaded to hold my two hands
I look into his eyes and all I see is a man that’s ready to get rid of me
Slowly I pulled my hands away from his….
“I’m sorry but you can’t get rid of me”

“Robert, you have to listen to me Rose does not mean well for you”
