I’ve come to a point where I decided I can’t keep on being quiet, or else my marriage will never work out. I divide to go see that woman that has been tearing my marriage apart, I need to talk to her as a woman and maybe just maybe, she will understand
I dressed up and took one of Robert’s car keys and drive out of the mansion in a hurry, I’m driving to Rose’s company I need to speak with her as a woman and I pray she’s understanding enough
I drove into her company, and parked safely, I walk into the and met the receptionist on the phone,
“Good day ”
“Good day mam, how can I help you?”
“Please I need to see Miss Rose”
“Do you have an appointment with her?”
“Oh no…but please it’s urgent”
“Alright, give me a second,” She said and punched some numbers into the office phone before connecting it to her ear
“What’s your name?” She asked
“Tell her it’s Robert’s wife”
“Alright” She nodded
“Hello boss, you have a guest, she said she’s Robert’s wife and she’s here to see you,” She said over the phone
She dropped the call and said
“Take the third elevator, the first office you’ll see”
“Thank you so much” I smile
“You are welcome,” She replied.
I followed the direction she gave me and entered the elevator, seconds later I’m standing in front of Rose’s office, I pray she understands with me as a fellow woman and not make things hard for me
I knock on the door
“Come in….” I heard immediately, my brows wagged in surprise cause I know she’s aware I’m the one knocking
I pull the doorknob and entered to see her looking forward to the door with smiles all over her face,
“Good day….” I greeted
“Wow…what a pleasant surprise,” She said with a smile which I’m sure it’s fake cause of the sarcasm in her voice
“Do you mind if I have a seat?”
“Sure, why not when it’s my rival speaking”
I ignored her comment and took and sat down
“So….. what are you here to talk about?” Her face suddenly turned serious
“Rose listen, I’m not here to get violent or throw tantrums, no…I’m not that kind of woman, I want to talk to you calmly as my gender and I hope you please understand me”
“Alright go on Miss perfect”
“Excuse me?”
“What’s the use of using Mrs when it’s obvious you’re going to be a divorcee soon”
“Hmmm…” I sighed trying not to dance in her tone cause I’m sure she’s doing everything to make me mad but I won’t give her the reaction she’s seeking for…
“Rose, have you ever been in love before?”
“Sure, I’ve been in love and still in love” She replied looking intensely at me
“Rose listen, I know that whatever you have with Robert isn’t real, I’ve been in love with Robert for a long time even as a teen, as a child, and still as an adult”
“Wow…. so we get something to celebrate right?” She started clapping her hands loudly, I sighed
“Rose please, all I’m saying is that you have to let Robert go, you and I know that you don’t even love him”
“Hmmm…” She smirked, bringing her face closer
“Actually I never knew you’re this smart, I thought Robert was getting married to some dummy but now I see you’re smart I got to step up my games” The smiled in a cunning manner
“What do you mean?”
“It’s simple darling, you’re right. I don’t love Robert, not do I feel a thing for him, but I’m going to drill his wealth till he’s left with nothing”
“Why would you do that?”
“It’s simple, thought you’re wise find out for yourself”
“Rose what you’re doing is unfair, I can sue you for this”
“Trust me, sweetheart, I can make the table turn around”
“What do you mean?” I asked looking confused
“Watch and see how much of a puppet your husband is to me”
“Did he love you?”
“I made that happen” She winked
“And how were you able to do that?”
“Smart move, sweetheart”
“Rose you’re making me confused”
“Trust me you will be facing your angry husband in seconds”
“Rose…..”
“Let the countdown begin” She smirked looking at me
“Five….”
“Four….”
“Three…”
“Two….”
“One….” Let the show begin she smiled
“Boom…..!” The four burst open as Robert rushed in looking like an enraged lion
“Sweetheart…” He called tenderly walking toward Rose whose already faking a crying face
“What happened?” Robert ask her but she didn’t stop crying and whimpering pointing at me,
I was confused, wondering what more this woman can do and what length she can go…
“How dare you cheap wore….!!?” Robert advanced toward me looking like he would kill me,
“Robert…I…”
“Bitch when will you learn…!” He thundered and forcefully pulled me up from the seat dragging me out of the office
“Robert, what are you doing?” I whimpered as he hold on tightly to my arms and continue dragging me
I turned back to see Rose wiping the fake tears away from her eyes, with a smirk and a look that says
“I told you…”
Robert’s action towards me drawled the attention of Rose staff and they all ran out, Robert pushed me out of the company forcefully and I fell to the ground injuring my scalp
“How could you come here after all you have done, aren’t you satisfied?” Robert screamed at me
I couldn’t speak, I couldn’t even look up. I was in pain, tears, and agony. How could Robert do this to me because of a woman?
Tears blurred my vision, I look up to see Rose in smiles, she was laughing Robert to herself, I look at her staff to see they were taking pictures of me, I look at Robert to see him looking at me with hate
I couldn’t utter a word, I walked towards him and put his car key in his hand, I turned and left the company in shame.
