Chapter 52

Book:Cursed Alpha's Witch Mate Published:2024-5-1

“Um…. It’s not a reflection on you, Your Majesty. I just…. I just felt it was essential to…. aid in winding down and becoming asleep. I mean no harm in offering assistance, My King. “Ella added, “But… if you feel unhappy about it, I can go right now,” attempting to seem nonchalant.
Spenser didn’t respond; he just sat back in his chair and continued staring at her. At some time, Ella realized she had made a huge mistake by entering the room in the first place and began to feel uneasy . Having brought him some tea, she would not be punished by him.
Ella looked up at him with relief as he said, “You may lay it down and go” in his icy voice.
She bowed, moved closer to the table, set down the tea, then stepped back while Spenser opened his book.
“Um…. ” Ella screamed out, “My King,” after realizing she had forgotten anything. ” I need your permission to do something. I um…. I have to see my dad at the house. This is a request I would be eternally grateful to you for making, My King, since it is of the utmost importance to me. ”
Her heart was hammering in her chest as usual. It felt intimidating to be in the King’s presence.
Spenser took a moment of hesitation before meeting his gaze.
“Edward! ”
When Spenser yelled, a security hurried in.
When the Queen leaves the palace, two guards should follow her, “My King,” he said. He bowed and withdrew, saying, “As you desire, My King,” and Ella’s heart skipped a beat.
They were sending two guards to her house? Okay… Now she wasn’t sure whether he was simply being overprotective or really attempting to keep her from escaping.
“Thank you very much,” bowed, and then walked out.
Spenser put down the book he was reading and picked up the teacup as soon as she departed. Even yet, it was incredible that Ella had managed to make him a cup of tea. He was well aware that herbal tea had never improved his health. However, he felt compelled to take it anyhow.
He brought it to his lips and verified its deliciousness with a sip. Hmm. He refilled his cup and set it back on the table before returning his attention to his book.
When Viscar saw Jeremy heading toward him, he was halfway down the balcony. He knew in his gut that Jeremy would want to talk to him, but he attempted to seem nonchalant and go by him nevertheless.
Jeremy yelled out, “Viscar,” and he turned to look at Jeremy.
The quiet Viscar didn’t say a word, but gazed at him. And Prince Jeremy was a bit taken aback that he didn’t welcome him as a sign of respect. From the beginning, Viscar was a nervous wreck.
He scowled, “The list you spoke about.” I’ve reconsidered my position and am now willing to cooperate on the project you stated the King wanted us to collaborate on. Is there a list somewhere? ‘
Viscar sneered and looked at his feet. The list is in my room, Viscar. As he started to go, he said, “I’ll have someone deliver it to you shortly.”
“Do you not feel that you’re being disrespectful by not showing proper awe, Viscar?
When Jeremy shouted for his attention, Viscar instantly came to a halt and turned.
“You say you’re being ignored and want to take out the primary jobs in the pack,” Viscar was moving closer to him. “You went with the King to a conference, and you couldn’t even keep him safe from harm; he came home with wounds. If I were with him at the time, I would never have allowed it to happen. ” After these harsh statements, Viscar turned and went, leaving Jeremy to stew in his own distrust and annoyance.
Spenser was still reading even though there was only about a third of a cup of tea left in the cup.
his eyes felt heavy and hazy, the brightness in them was fading, and the more he tried to force them open to read, the more they burned and irritated him. To stay alive, he had to stretch his painful muscles. It got to the point where his nerves were too at ease, and he couldn’t stop himself.
He fumbled the book and stumbled to his feet, making his way toward the bed. He collapsed on the mattress, and an unexplainable wave washed over him, heavier than the wind, more than anything nature could provide. He was at a loss for words; all he felt was an eerie peace.
And King Spenser, for the first time in nearly a decade, drifted off to a restful slumber.
“Can’t you hear me? FOOLS!! You are exactly that!! They were standing in front of him as the irritated Alpha walked back and forth in the corridor. All you had to do was a simple job; a very simple job. Kill the King! However, you cowardly fled like a bunch of old knuckleheads. ”
His voice reverberated with anguish and rage as he said, “We’re sorry, Alpha. No one warned us that the King would be changing forms. He’d reached a power level beyond our ability to counter. To stand against King Spenser’s wolf is, as we are all well aware, an impossible task. ”
“Shut up and get out of my face! “The lads bowed respectfully and fled as the Alpha shouted at them.
“Spenser, you poor thing. Just why was he so hard to get rid of? ” He stomped his foot, and Queen Olivia grinned as she took a last glance at her reflection. Every detail of the outfit was flawless, from the dress to the hair to the makeup.
She turned around one more, and then went out of the room, bound for the King’s apartments. She couldn’t wait to get there and do what she does best: please him.
In fact, it was why she hadn’t rushed over to see him the moment he got back. So that just one glance from him would stimulate the organ between his legs, she planned to take her time, appear extremely nice for him, and then go in a tumultuous fashion. 1
She was looking forward to riding on him just after massaging him, bending down, and sucking on his thighs.
