Upon Olivia’s more direct questioning, Ella took a deep breath and nodded.
You have to do more than nod your head in agreement with me. She let out a loud cry. She radiated resentment and bitterness.
“Yes… My Queen,” Ella greeted.
Olivia gave her an evil gaze, as if she wanted to rip her to shreds with her teeth. Urgh!!! She was destined to have the throne all to herself. It’s not fair that he has to deal with all these nagging women.
She said, “Good for you,” and began walking away, but then turned around and stared at her again, this time more perplexedly.
“Why don’t I detect any wolf abilities in you?” Ella’s pulse pounded rapidly as she answered her question. Oh, no…. “So, you fancy yourself a wolf, huh?”
In a panic, Ella stuttered, “Y… Yes.” She worried they would humiliate her if they found out she was helpless.
Olivia gave her a quick sniff, then turned and departed.
As Ella slammed the door behind her, she turned to give her one more glance. Exactly what kind of mindset was that???
The servant behind her let out a startled cry and sprinted forward. There’s no pleasing Queen Olivia. Thank God she didn’t resort to physical violence.
“Is she… normally like this?” A question crossed Ella’s face.
Certainly – and particularly to the King’s Wives. Olivia, Queen of England, despises rivals. After hearing the maid’s reply, Ella sat down on the bed and looked dejected.
“Um…. My Queen, we need to go for the meal immediately,” and it was a while before Ella was able to drag herself out of bed.
It pleased Queen Olivia to be able to let that vile woman into her innermost thoughts. If she believes she can rule this place, she must be kidding. Who the hell was she if she could control Natasha and Diana and put them where they belonged?
She knew she had the King all to herself, and she resolved to make more of an effort in the future to keep it that way. Natasha was finally out of the way, and that was a huge relief. There would be one less thing for her to worry about.
She was on her way to the dining room and was almost there when she overheard an unexpected voice say, ”
She quickly turned to look and was taken aback to discover Queen Natasha standing there.
Natasha beamed as she saw Olivia’s expression of surprise. She looked stunning as she put on a long, feminine dress, combed and pinned her hair, and dabbed on some little makeup. “Didn’t expect to see me.” Peacefully approaching her, Natasha inquired. Behind her was also her own personal maid.
“I think you need to get yourself together,”
Because Olivia didn’t respond, Natasha assumed she was giving permission to go past her and inside the building.
“What’s up with Natasha’s kid these days? ” Olivia’s question caused her to pause unexpectedly. The snarky question was supposed to make Natasha angry, but when she looked at Olivia, she was smiling widely instead.
“My lovely kid is thriving. As for yours, how’s it going? If my memory serves me well, you have two girls, too, making us identical in that regard. So don’t ever believe you’re better than me, Olivia. Why? Because we’re both the same right now. And in a little while from now, I’ll be higher than you. ”
You’re quite naive if you think you can actually make your goals a reality. Wake up, Natasha.
“Really?” This made Natasha laugh heartily. Do you really believe I’m asleep?” All right, why don’t you just wait and see? Keep waiting till I’m the King’s. While Olivia remained there fuming for a few seconds, she added a sneer and moved away, heading into the dining room.
Nervously, Ella followed the maid’s lead to the dining room. Worry over eating breakfast with the royal family made her stomach turn. Something like that wasn’t on her radar for the near future.
When they reached the front door, the servant said, “This is it, My Queen.” Once Ella glanced over and saw the three queens sat there, her anxiety level immediately shot through the roof. As you can see, the dinner table accommodated an unusually large number of diners, with seats placed on each side, plus one at the head and one at the end. The King should have that.
While the housekeeper insisted that Ella go inside, she made no such step.
“Are…. What makes you say that? She sputtered. “They are so…”
“Don’t be so nervous, Your Majesty. “The housekeeper reassured her,
“It’s alright,” and after taking a big breath, she continued on beyond the front door.
Slowly, with her head lowered and her hands clasped at the sides of her dress, she entered the room.
As she entered, the room, the Queen, Natasha, and Diana all turned to stare at her. Except, of course, for Diana.
Ella’s mouth started to thirst as she approached the big table where the assisted meals were being served. Maids were also there, and they served the queens’ food on little dishes.
After a lengthy trek, Ella arrived and promptly sat down.
She greeted Natasha with, “Um…. Good morning, My Queen,” but Natasha only rolled her eyes and turned away. There’s little question that her presence also aggravated her.
Rather than letting it get to her, Ella made a conscious decision to ignore it. She swiveled around to face the twelfth monarch.
“Good morning, Your Majesty,” he greeted the queen.
Diana smiled and answered, “Greetings to you too.” Hm. I liked that better.
After seeing that Queen Olivia had already greeted everyone in the chamber, Ella decided it was unnecessary for her to do so again.
She turned her attention to the waitstaff and wondered how much longer it would take before dinner was ready.
Queen Natasha stated abruptly, “I think this is going to be the worst meal of my life,” making no mention of anybody in particular. It’s hard for me to think that I’ll be eating breakfast with a commoner.
Whoa, wait a minute! It came as a complete surprise to Ella. And this was the extent of her humiliation in the palace?
Two individuals entered at the that moment. There was a young guy and a lady.
Whoa, hold on there, she seems to know this lady very well. She is the stepmother of King Spenser, and her companion was her son, Prince Jeremy.
Ella admired the lady’s graceful gait and thought she looked quite regal. She was stunningly gorgeous and sophisticated.
