DIANA
It was late at night by 11 pm, after a hot make out session with Branden, I left him asleep on the bed.
The urge to go back into Branden’s study was growing again, I don’t want to waste my time searching for things I might never see. I think it’s best I meet this mystery man to provide more information to me.
I slid into a jean and jacket and walked out of the room, my major challenge was going through his guards without having to deal with so many questions.
It’s quite impossible, they might tell on me. Whatever it might take, I’d keep trying.
I ambled out of the house to met Branden’s two bodyguards, they took a bow and stared at me for a while.
Damn it! What do I say to them?
“I need to attend to my sister, she’s having a asthmatic attack I need to see her” I faked my panic and anxiousness.
“Do you need me to alert Mr Branden?” A bodyguard of his said.
“No absolutely not, I don’t want to disturb him. And don’t say a word about this to him, he’s been helping so much I don’t want to get him worried of tired of helping me”
“Oh that’s alright ma, can we atleast follow you?”
Why are this guards so nosy? They are just doing their jobs but sometimes I wish they weren’t.
“Don’t worry about it, I can take care of everything” I replied back and quickly rushed to my car.
Escaping these bodyguards were more strenuous than escaping Branden himself, leaving the house without been noticed was barely possible.
As bodyguards that they are, they’d always want to protect and guide me but I didn’t need any of it, not yet.
The automatic electric gates opened up as I drove towards it, I hope I finally get to the root of all this mysteries without facing any form of danger.
Whilst maneuvering the steering, I dialed the unknown number that sent a text to me initially. I know it was dangerous meeting up with people I don’t know but the more I search for answers, the closer I get to the whole truth, if there was ever any.
I pinpointed the location and drove down to the Bailey’s old factory. It was deserted and quiet as I imagined it to be.
I stepped out of my car, walked up to the front door with heavy sighs leaving my lips. I was anxious as hell, I keep feeling like I’m making a horrible mistake.
I’ve walked into danger more than twice so I believe I can overcome whatever is behind this door.
I calmed my racing pulse and knocked the door mildly, I could only think of wild thoughts.
Fear and anxiety creeped in as I stood in front of the huge iron door, it ate my thoughts whole.
“Who that?” A thick loud voice said to me from behind the door.
The fear in me doubled the minute my ears heard the voice, without seeing the full figure of the man I could easily describe his stature or appearance.
He was probably a huge, muscular bouncer with tattoos all over his chest and arms.
“Uhmm i- I was uhmm sent a message….” I stuttered anxiously.
“Come in” he opened up the doors immediately. I stood and examined his full features. He was exactly how I described him to be, except bigger than my imagination.
I’d be crushed if this man ever lays a hand on me, I’m finished.
I should have never stepped my foot here, I can’t escape this type of person. Is this the man that sent me a message? Hell no! I’m going back.
“Are you going to stand there or you’re going to come in and see what I have for you” another familiar voice said in the abyss of darkness. Why does the room have to be so dark? That makes it even scarier than it already is.
“Come in, I assure you. You are safe” the voice added.
I really hope I am safe, It’s going to be easy for Branden to track though, he has done it before so I believe he has the capacity to do it again.
I braced up and stepped into the old dark factory, the further I went the brighter it got. The dim light was coming from one source only, a computer and some electronic gadgets.
“Welcome miss Diana, I’m so sorry for bringing you here this late but I just have so much to share with you” the distant voice of the kidnapper became more audible and closer.
Ofcourse he is the one, always trying to bring Branden down. Either for the wrong or right purposes, I really don’t know why there is so much hate for Branden in his eyes.
“You again?” I scowled at him the minute his face became visible.
“Yes, I’m so sorry for not introducing myself earlier on. My name is Steven” he raised a hand of his for a handshake but I ignored.
“Steven or whatever you are, why are you trying so hard to seperate Branden and I, what do you have against him? Why do you want to bring him down?” my tone grew harsh.
“I need you to calm down miss Diana, I know you love him and he matters to you, he mattered to us too, he is a good person but you and I know there’s definitely something he’s hiding and the information I’m about to provide would be beneficial to you than any other person” He said calmly.
“What do you mean by he mattered to us?” I raised a brow at him.
“That’s a different story entirely, I’ll tell you about that later, right now we have to help you get the information you need” He walked towards me with both his hands in his pocket.
“No fucking way, tell me the story before I listen to whatever information you have for me” I said.
“And why the hell are following me? How’d you know I was searching for some information. Are you stalking me?” anger stirred up inside me as I began to think about him watching my every move.
It was quite uncomfortable for a stranger to consistently stalk me.
I turned my back and stormed my way to the door, he refused to tell me what connection he had with Branden and why he hated Branden so much.
His stalking nature is another irritating part of him, one I can never cope with. Thinking about it got me even more upset than I was when I saw his face.
“Branden and I were friends in college” he yelled from a distance and I paused the minute I heard it.
“Keep going” I turned and walked back to him.
Maybe there’s more to what I’ve been searching for, there’s more to who Branden is and what he has done in the past. I guess I’ll never know until I tread with an enemy.
