Deep honey eyes and ocean blue eyes stared at me, a rattling silence feeling the space between us.
Why were they quiet?
I asked a simple question that deserved an answer? They just stared at me dumbfounded and lost for words.
Who the hell was Eridius? I very well knew they must have known her in that life because she bodly threatened Mina to stay away from both of them.
I could still vividly see her image in my head. Her terrifying scarlet red orbs that looked like the flames of hell itself and those two pointed horns that broke out of her forehead sent cold shivers down my spine.
She looked so deadly and so powerful.
“Answer me!” I snapped at both of them causing them to snap out of whatever reverie they were experiencing.
“Do you really want to know Queen?” Aklyn raised a brow at me.
“Ofcourse I do” I squinted my eyes at him, wondering why he would ask that question which I deemed as silly.
A shaky heavy sigh left Nelyx sensual lips. Those lips had devoured my breasts earlier.
I shook my head to try get rid of the mundane thoughts.
“Eridius was a demon too. She was our first mate”
My jaws dropped to the ground with my eyes widened like a deer caught on headlights.
First mate!?
I thought I was their first mate! I thought Mina was. They had a mate before Mina?
What then happened to her and why did she threaten Mina? How did Mina then become their mate?
My mind was in a foggy maze and labyrinth of confusing questions.
This was just so new. Every day I keep on finding something absurd—something that just increases my desire to get the hell out of this realm.
“How is that possible? You said Mina was your mate. I mean I thought I was your mate” I almost yelled.
A sudden pang of pain brewed up in my chest.
Was it jealousy I felt or what?
Fuck. What were these two doing to me exactly? I hate all these so why do I feel jealous at the thought of them having another mate?
I noticed Aklyn smirking at me and I could tell he was reading my mind.
I rolled my eyes away from his formidable stare and focused it on Nelyx.
“I know we told you that and it’s the truth….”
Nelyx wasn’t allowed to finish his statement as I cut him short immedately.
“So who is Eridius and why is she your first mate?” I scowled. My jealousy was getting the best of me.
“Are you jealous?” Aklyn came over to whisper to my ear, a disparaging smile on his beautiful face.
“I am not. I am just surprised that you both lied to me” I retorted.
Ofcourse I was jealous. But they couldn’t know that. And yes. I was also furious that they lied to me.
“We didn’t lie to you. Yes Eridius was the one whom we thought was our mate but you–Mina, you are our true mate. You see Mina and Eridius were pretty close before”
Nelyx paused for a while and accessed my profile before continuing in his speech.
“They had this strong bond. Whenever we stumbled upon Mina and Eridius, we felt this strong energy that connected us to our mate but we at first thought it was Eridius. Because she was one of us. She was of our kind. It took us a while for us to grasp that it was Mina not Eridius that was our mate” Nelyx meticulously explained.
“So that was why she was angry with Mina and threatened to deal with her. She felt cheated on” I said beginning to grasp what I saw.
“Yes. The reason we couldn’t crown her as our queen. She felt lied to. And turned her rage to Mina” Aklyn added.
In as much as it wasn’t Mina’s fault, it wasn’t also Eridius. She was made to belive she was the mate of the demon kings. Finding out it wasn’t true must have been so painful for her.
This was getting so interesting and foggy. What else laid in my buried up memories and gruesome past lives?
“What happened to Eridius?” I asked.
I hadn’t set my eyes on her ever since I came into Ashrea.
“She destroyed her soul” Nelyx replied.
I was horror struck and also bewildered.
I stared at both of them in total disbelief.
“You mean she is literally gone? How did that happen?”
“Queen there are some things better left unspoken” Nelyx uttered, his eyes flashing hidden emotions at me.
“Tell me. I need to know. I need to find out what happened to me in my past lives especially that of Mina’s” I reaffirmed my decision.
They both stared at me as if making sure I was sure of my decision before Aklyn broke the silence.
“Fine. If she says she wants to know, let’s take her to where she can see it for herself”
I felt my stomach churn with endless knots getting tied up. Another fucking memory that would leave me unconcious again.
“Get up kitten” Aklyn’s hoarse voice commanded. Something about the way he was dominating got my sex aching with need.
Fuck. I needed to focus.
I was about standing from the bed when I noticed my gown was torn.
They had brutally ripped off my gown earlier as they both pleasured me in ways that drove me to the edge.
“Uhm, my gown is torn” I murmured with hesistance.
A lopsided grin formed on their faces.
“Will you both stop staring at me wistfully” I snapped.
“Why do you even put on clothing when you are with us? I enjoy seeing you naked” Nelyx bit his bottom lip as his eyes literally touched my body.
“Pervert” I scoffed.
“Take this” Aklyn said handing me his cloak.
I swiftly put it on before getting off the bed.
“Hold on to me tight queen. This is going to be a long flight” Aklyn instructed me as he scooped me up bridal style, his broad demon wings sprouting out of his back.
