“Oh…” Cristelle dipped her head. It was not hard to imagine that Cyrus would shift his position as long as someone paid him. He was always a person like that.
Linford didn’t mention the 3 million. He knew he shouldn’t be the one who told her.
One day, she would figure it out.
It had been a long day.
Cristelle decided to bring the babies home after work time was over. Drew stayed in the company, saying he still had something to discuss with Linford.
“Cristelle, I’ll go to your house tomorrow as well. Why didn’t you even invite me?” Fritzi pretended to be angry.
Cristelle smiled, “Of course, you should go. I was planning to invite everyone in our department but didn’t get the chance because everyone was busy.”

After setting up the time, Cristelle said goodbye.
Cody left a kiss on Fritzi’s cheek before he left.
Everyone seemed to adore the twins.
After Cristelle left the company with her babies, Donny asked Fritzi, “Don’t you think there’s some problem with Cristelle’s daughter? She hasn’t talked the whole day. And she also seemed scared… She can’t speak?”
“Shut up and do your job,” Fritzi’s face fell, “Don’t start any rumors about the little girl, or I’ll fire you!”

Pamela was lying on a couch, scrolling down her phone. When she saw that piece of news about Cyrus’s farce in front of the Daicom Corporation, a smug smile appeared on her face.
Why haven’t they fired that bitch after all this?
The door in the living hall creaked, Pamela knew it was Diego, “Hubby! You’re finally back.”
Maids hung Diego’s coat and poured him a cup of orange juice. Pamela sat beside him, noticing his tired look, “Must be a long day, huh?”
Diego didn’t seem to be in a good mood, “It’s okay. It’s still the same.”
After what had happened last time, Diego seldom took her out on any occasion. That was why Pamela didn’t have any clue about what was happening in his company.
“Are you sure everything’s okay?” Pamela asked, “You know you can always tell me, right?”
“Nothing, really. I’m just a bit busy lately. You don’t need to worry,” Diego didn’t seem like he wanted to talk about it.
But Pamela refused to give up, “I know you’re busy. But you also need to take care of yourself. How is the cooperation with Mr. Bradley?”
“It’s really not your concern, Pamela,” Diego started to sound a bit impatient.
Pamela huffed, “Will Mr. Bradley really cancel the cooperation because of a woman? That Cristelle is such a whore. Why would any man do this for her?”
Diego was even more annoyed as he heard Pamela say, “Who told you Mr. Bradley canceled the cooperation because of her?”
Pamela went pale, “I… I guessed that he….”
Diego couldn’t bear spending one more minute with this stupid woman, standing up from the couch and walking toward the bathroom, “You don’t know anything about the business, Pamela. Just give me a break. You should read and develop a couple of hobbies if you’re that idle.”
Pamela went frozen as the door slammed in her face.
And then she went furious. Did he just say she was too “idle”? How could he say that of his wife? Pamela felt humiliated, her fists balling up because of rage.
This was all because of that whore!
Diego had been so cold to her since the day Cristelle showed up. Pamela knew she must find a way to kick that bitch out of the town. She should disappear for good.

Cristelle woke up quite early on Saturday.
She brought her babies to the supermarket and did some groceries. When she started to clean the house, it was already 10. Drew was the first who knocked on her door.
“Am I coming too early? Hope you wouldn’t mind.” Drew brought a lot of gifts for the babies.
Cristelle smiled, “It’s always nice to see you, Drew. Just take a seat and have some coffee.”
“Good morning, Doc!” Cody gave Drew a hug.
“Good morning, soldier. Look what I brought for you and your sister,” Drew fished out a couple of colorful storybooks from his bag.
Candace couldn’t take her eyes away the moment she saw those books.
Cody mussed with his sister’s soft hair, “Keep Doc’s company, will you? I need to help Mommy in the kitchen.”
“That’s right. A real man is always helpful in the kitchen. Just go. I’ll take care of Candace.” Drew rubbed Cody’s little face.
When the food was ready, other guys also came. They brought wine and flowers.
Fritzi was so excited when she got into Cristelle’s apartment, giving Cody a kiss on his forehead.
Candace had never seen so many people at the same time before. She hid behind Cody, clenching at his sleeve.
Cody kissed her cheek, “It’s okay. They’re all good people.”
Drew put Candace on his lap. Cody started to invite them in, one by one. These people were Mommy’s colleagues. He knew he had to be on good terms with them.
Cristelle walked out of the kitchen, smiling, “Please take your seat, guys. The meal is gonna be ready soon.”
“Do you need my help, Cristelle?” Micky approached Cristelle.
“Thanks, but you don’t have to. I’ve got this. You guys just chill and have a cup of coffee,” Cristelle turned her down as she shouted in the living room’s direction, “Cody, would you take care of the guests for Mommy?”
“No problem!” Cody was pouring a cup of coffee as he said.
Micky and Donny went to play with Candace. After being taught a lesson by Fritzi, they started to treat Candace normally now.
Fritzi just walked around the apartment. The space was enough for a family of three, and the decorations were also great. It was nothing luxurious, but it felt safe and like home. Cristelle even planted some greenies on the balcony. Kids’ toys were scattered on the floor of the living room.
The apartment looked nice.
Drew’s phone started to ring. He picked up the phone immediately as he saw the number, “Hello? Mr. Bradley? We’re already here. How long are you gonna take? We’re all waiting for you.”
