After the meal, they all left the place.
Diego’s employees looked defeated, which was the opposite of Linford’s employees.
“Cristelle, where is your home? I’ll send you back,” Fritzi showed up, suggesting enthusiastically.
Cristelle declined politely, “You don’t have to. My house is not far off, only two stations away.”
“Sheesh, you don’t have to be so polite with me. Why are you buying a cake, though? You still feel hungry?” Fritzi was curious.
Cristelle eased a lock of hair behind her ear, “No, I’m bringing this back for my babies. They both like cake.”
Fritzi looked so shocked at the moment, her mouth falling open, “What? You have babies?”
Cristelle didn’t seem offended, answering her calmly, “Yes. So what’s the problem?”
Fritzi sighed, “I just didn’t expect you to have babies at such a young age.”
No one would even notice if she didn’t say anything. But other people clearly heard their conversation. Diego’s eyes went dark. But he could only turn to Linford instead, “Thanks for the meal, Mr. Bradley. I wish I could treat you to a meal soon. I only hope you won’t refuse me.”
Linford only nodded, “Sure.”
Diego just couldn’t figure this man out. They exchanged a couple of words before Diego finally left with his people.
“Fritzi, I really need to go. My babies are still waiting,” Cristelle said goodbye instantly.
Fritzi didn’t keep her any longer.
She only murmured after Cristelle had left, “What a pity. She’s already married.” Saying that Fritzi gave Linford a sideway look, sighing.
Linford’s face looked grim, “Why are you talking so much? Do you want to work for the PR department?”
With that, he just walked away. Fritzi went frozen. What did that even mean? Why was that her fault?
“Pamela, what the heck was that? Why did you do that?” When they returned to their mansion, Diego couldn’t hold in his rage anymore, “Do you even know who Bradley is? Do you have any idea how important he is? What you did today is so freaking… Humiliating!”
Pamela knew she shouldn’t have done that. She began to beg for his forgiveness, “I’m sorry. I really didn’t mean that. I just…”
“You didn’t mean it? They’ve got you on camera! And you’re still lying!” Diego was so pissed off.
“But I’m not lying. I just….” Pamela tried to explain, but she couldn’t find any excuse.
Diego had decided that he wouldn’t take this woman anywhere after this incident, “I don’t want to see you anymore.”
Pamela got panicked, “What do you mean? Why are you so mad anyway? Is it because of what I did, or is it because you still love Cristelle?!”
Diego looked away rigidly, “Why does that even matter?”
Pamela huffed, “Of course, it matters! I wouldn’t have done that if it were not for her!” She didn’t feel she had done anything wrong.
“You’ve already married me. Why do you still seek trouble from her?” Diego shouted, “Can’t you act more decent for once?”
“You want me to be decent?” Pamela yelled back, “You’re getting tired of me, aren’t you? If it were not for me, your family would have been dragged down along with her family!”
This was the last thing Diego wanted to mention. When Cristelle’s family went through all the difficulties, his family ditched them, becoming friends with Lim. They wouldn’t be like this if it were not for help from Pamela’s family.
“You don’t need to remind me again and again. I always remember what your family has done for us. And I promised you that I would spend the rest of my life with you. So, you don’t need to do such things anymore. It’s really unnecessary,” Diego’s voice was cold. With that, he went back to his study.
He was really angry this time. Pamela followed him up, “Honey… Honey?”
BANG!
Diego slammed the door close in Pamela’s face. Pamela had never been treated this way. She hated Cristelle even more. Going back to her bedroom, Pamela called a number instantly.

When Cristelle was back, her two babies had already waited for so long. Finally, Cody pulled his little face, “You’re late again, Mom.”
Cristelle smiled, “I’m quite busy today. Sorry for being late again. But look, I just bought you guys your favorite cake!”
Candace approached her, sniffing at the package.
Candace was easily pleased, but Cody was not the same. He didn’t stir on the sofa, “You smell like alcohol. How much did you drink?”
His little face reminded Cristelle of someone. She apologized immediately, “I only drank a little with my colleagues. Stop interrogating Mommy, Cody. I’m scared.”
Cristelle picked Cody up and pressed her face against his, “Why can’t you just be a cute son like other boys?”
Cody rolled his eyes. His mom was too childish!

The next day, Cristelle took the babies to the hospital as she had promised, arriving at Drew’s office.
“Good morning,” Cody said politely. Drew liked the babies so much. It was mainly because they looked so much like their father, especially Cody. He just looked like the mini version of his dad.
Candace was a bit scared when she stepped inside the hospital, almost tearing up as she saw those stern-faced doctors. But this man looked quite different. He was much more friendly.
“Do you still remember me, Candace?” Drew asked, smiling.
Candace nodded slowly, and small arms circled Cristelle’s neck.
“I’ll continue the story from the last time. Do you wanna hear some more?” Drew smiled.
Candace nodded again, still not saying a word.
Cristelle was seated on the other side of the couch. Drew continued the story. He was so immersed in the storytelling, interacting with Cody now and then. Cody was a smart boy. He always got Drew’s meaning instantly, taking care of his sister with the doctor.
Cristelle took out some cake from her bag when they decided to take a rest.
“Doctor Weston, why don’t you have some cake? My mom baked these. They tasted so much better than those sold in the bakeries,” Cody handed a piece of cheesecake to Drew, “It’s still warm. Come on. Please have one.”
Cody knew he must develop a good relationship with this doctor. He knew they needed Drew to treat his sister.
