Beside A Waterfall Close To Festus’ Betas Discussion Arena

Book:That Lost Wolf Published:2024-5-1

“No!” Festus yells after the security wolves hold him down and let him transform back into his human form. “No, that’s my mate.”
“What!” One of them yells and they all let go of him, moved by the crocodile’s tears he’s shedding.
Festus drops to the ground, and wails, “it is. It is.” His voice breaks amidst talking but after few minutes, he lifts his head up and directs his gazes at the wolves, they’re 6 present with him.
“Who are you?” He asks the wolves, and they draw nigh unto him the more. He peers into their faces, and scoffs.
“It’s us!” One of the wolves suddenly remembers. “Did we lose our memory, it’s you, Festus?”
“Yeah, it’s me, Kellie’s rightful mate.” He sniffles, and says. “Who are you? Seems I’m losing my memory too.”
They help him up, and guide him to his office. After jerking the door to his office open with a leg kick, they drop him on his seat and he sighs as he reclines his back on that same seat. He bows his head on his table, and tells the security wolves to keep talking.
“Well, I’m Richard.” One of them says. “I’m a Beta for the Alpha of a pack, and that should be…”
“Alpha Festus.” Another cuts in. “And I’m Alexander.”
Then, George’s brain clicks as soon as he hears Alexander’s name.
“You’re my Betas.” Alpha Festus sobs. “How did you get here?”
After knowing he’s got their identity now, they all move much closer, shutting the door tightly than ever.
“Alpha Festus, you escaped.” Alexander protests. “We shouldn’t be here discussing trash with you.”
Austin hisses, and takes up the talk, “Because of the debt you owe, you sold your pack!”
Alpha Festus sighs in regret.
“You sold your pack, Festus!” Even Alfred is right here. “You sold that great pack and made us nobodies.”
Festus sobs. “I owed the elf. I owed Jane $50000. How could I pay? All my income have been deposited for the search for Kellie. Silent searches you didn’t even know anything about.”
“And you still have the guts to talk?” Richard hits him and he falls to the ground while his seat staggers.
Richard, Austin, Alfred, Alexander, Douglas and Henry. Douglas and Henry prefer not to say a word, they’re damn disappointed in Festus.
“So you think coming here, tutoring or stupidly protecting students will give you enough bucks to live?” Austin asks, sarcastically. “Why not start up the job of a taxi man? Such a useless man.”
Festus rolls on the ground, letting the tears in his eyes fall straight on the ground, and not giving a slant mark on his cheek.
“Now, with all what you have done…” Alfred speaks up, and squats, directing his deadly gazes at Festus. “… where’s the result?”
“George had subtly taken Kellie.” He adds
“After all, Kellie’s meant for him.” Austin scoffs.
Alfred hits his head with his clenched fists, and shouts at him, “Despite my loyalty, going over there to capture Kellie all because of you. I lost my white wolf power. All because of you! You even came to check up on Kellie ’cause…” He scoffs, and pauses. “… I’m sure you didn’t come for me. We were lucky to get inside Kellie’s parent’s house and again, even after I told you that George would resume in this school and he’s ready to take off the White wolf power, you dragged me back to the pack and now I can’t find the power anyone.” Alfred lays down beside him, and sobs. He soon stands up by the help of Douglas, and he sniffles.
“You should end up in hell.” Richard says, and jerks his door open. “If you try to run after Kellie again, then you’re as dead as a killed antelope.”
They then all storm out of his office, each marching on his head as they walk out fuming and cussing.
“Oh my goodness.” Austin remarks. “I can’t believe all these shit.”
“Holy shit!” Richard cusses.
“Holy shits!” Alfred corrects. “Different scenes.”
They barge into the wilderness where there’s only one waterfall available.
“I overheard George discussing with Kellie’s parents about returning to school.” Alfred explains to them as they straveig down the wilderness. “Though they didn’t mention the name but I’m sure Kimberly won’t want any other school except this.”
“I even thought George is the one to be mated to Kellie. That’s why I came. And it turned out to be true.” He adds.
“Guys, screw that.” Douglas whistles. “It’s gone, let’s know the next step in our life.”
“Sure!” Richard cuddles up against Alfred. “I’m sorry for all those craps; just take heart and don’t think about the butthead Alpha.”
Henry clears his throat, “are we connected to Festus in any way?”
“We shouldn’t be discussing Festus at all.” Austin protests. “He doesn’t worth it.”
“Just asking though.” Henry says. “Since I have an idea.”
“Oh, yo, man.” Alfred seems interested. “What’s new! What’s the idea?”
“Nothing much.” Douglas replies, and before Alfred could tell him to mind his business, he adds, “We thought about it together.”
They stop walking and lay down on the grassy floor near a big tree. The leaves rustle and makes the environment cool and windy.
“The idea of having our pack.” Henry says after lying down. “Seriously, can we?”
“Are we connected to him in any way?” Douglas asks, again. “We need to know.”
“No.” Austin replies. “He didn’t even have the wolf power when we volunteered to be his Betas. So, outrightly, we’re not tied to him in any form.”
“Taken?” Richard buttresses.
“Yes, taken.” Douglas replies. “But we will need to move out of this vicinity entirely.”
“Then, we can go to America and meet with the pack house we’ve for once been the Leaders?” Alfred protests.
“Nah, nah, man.” Henry replies in a rather cool tone. “We will even move out of UK entirely.”
“To where then?” Alexander asks, in a rough tone.

Kimberly cuddles up against Charles since she feels naughty.
“Sadly, we lost the pup.” Kimberly tells him, her head placed on his chest.
Charles takes her head off of his chest, and storms out of the room. He walks up to Kellie’s room, and groans on her bed.
“Why would I lose my 6-month old pup? The fuck!” He hits the wall with his clenched fist, and soon, Kimberly gets in through the door.
“Dear, I’m sorry. It isn’t my fault.” Kimberly says, her voice breaking.
“IT IS!!” Charles yells with all his might and afterwards breaks down info crying again. He weeps and rubs his eyes with his fingers.
“Who would see her daughter going near death and not trying her best to save her?” She sarcastically asks. “Tell me, who?”
Charles sniffles; that’s to say, he’s cooling down bit by bit. Kimberly leans her back on the door, and watches his emotional and break down scene.
“I’m just 37 afterall.” Kimberly shrugs. “And you’re not 40 yet.”
Charles sighs, and replies in a roughly thick voice, “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“We can still have more pups.” She tells him, and releases her dresses from him. She locks the door tightly, and walks up to him without wearing any clothes.
“You wanna be naughty?” Charles smirks, and she nods. He does as she did, and it starts.
Few hours later, Charles receives a mind link request from George.
“Hey George, we haven’t found out where Kellie is, yet. But surely, the moon goddess told us to keep cool and continue searching with all our might and possession.” Charles rants, not even sure if George copies.
“Do you copy?” Charles wants to be sure now.
“Yes, I copy.” George replies. “Can you come help me? Just to take me out of here?”
“Oh! George! What’s happening?” Charles seems confused.
“You haven’t paid the $10000 for all my needs, right?” George asks.
“Um…” Charles stammers. “Nope though we paid $650 for you to stay that week in the hostel.”
“Thank you but I’ll have to take my leave now.” George replies in his mind link. “I told you and you know that right from the outset, I’m disinterested in school. Not even in high schools. Duh.”
“Where are you right now?” Charles asks.
“Where did you leave me?” George retorts, rudely.
“Duh! Just fucking answer! I can hear the waves of sea near you.” Charles yells at him. Actually, he’s beside the waterfall with Kellie dozing off and lying down on his laps while Cole whistles.
“Okay, meet me in my hostel.” He tells Charles. “I’ll leave here, just came here to refresh myself.”
“That’s not my point. How about we send you white wolves to bring you home, you’ll take the back route where you can only escape through shifting?”
George falls into dilemma, if he accepts the offer, Kellie is automatically unsafe since she hasn’t learnt to shift. But if he rejects that, he won’t be able to defeat any rogue he finds on his way – white wolves actually.
