Chapter 43
She was at the entrance of the Ford’s shade. Bruce too couldn’t contain his shock as he stared t her, wondering if he wasn’t seeing right.
If she’s here, that means Lyra’s..
Ella too couldn’t look away. Tia’s eyes stayed on Henri all this while and they both stared at each other. Tia’s look on his was blank, while he stared at her unbelievably.
She has grown really matured, beautiful, pretty, her eyelashes grown full, her pink lips look pouty and her makeup on point and she looks classy like a rich lady would look and totally not how a maid would look.
She has really changed. ” Momma ” The twins startled them out of their thoughts as they both rushed to meet Tia who averted her gaze from Henri and turned to them.
” Ryan, meet our momma ” Myles said once again, coming as a shock to them especially Henri whose ears behaved like they betrayed him as he tried to comprehend what he had just heard.
” Mom? She birthed them? She’s their mom? She’s married already. Didn’t she promise to wait, it’s just five years. But.. she has kids already ” Henri’s head were clouded with thoughts.
Tia bowed lightly at Bruce who kept staring at her and then at Ella.
” Hi, how are you? ” She smiled lightly at Ryan who flashed her a big smile in return.
” Hi, you’re so pretty. What’s your name? ”
” Tia ” She replied simply and Ryan smiled.
Tia turned to the twins. ” We have to leave now, okay? ” She said to them but they shook their head.
” No, we wanna play with our new friend ” They opposed.
Tia squatted lowly to their level and then ruffled their head.
” Not now okay? Momma has an important thing to tend to at work. I promise to read you two your favorite bedtime stories in place of Nanny ” She said and their face lit up.
” Really? You will read us? ” Myles asked excitedly and she nodded.
” Promise you will come home first ” Miley said with a little frown.
” I will ” She promised and her face also lit up.
They turned to Ryan. ” Sorry, we have to leave now. You can come visit us at our house. Mom allows our friends over ” They said to Ryan and he nodded slowly.
” Bye ” They waved and Tia got on her feet. She glanced at Henri one last time before walking away with the twins to their shade which was a bit far fromThe Ford’s shade but they could see them from afar.
Bruce watched as Tia took the kids in and said some things to a figure sitting down and concentrated on something he couldn’t see, until she raised her head and looked directly at their shade.
Tho their eyes didn’t meet but he saw her, it’s her. His EX-WIFE, Lyra Hansley.
Even without getting a proper look from her, he could see how different she looks.
” Wait, I met her before ” Ryan suddenly said and they turned to him, by “They”, Bruce and Ella.
” Who? ”
” The twins mom, I met her together with a woman who looks exactly like you. I mistook her for you ” He said and Ella’s eyes widened.
” Lyra ” The words slipped out of her mouth.
” Run a research on them ” Bruce said to Henri breaking him out of his thoughts.
” Y.. yes sir ” It took him a while before he could find his voice.
** Later In The Evening **
* LH Conglomerate *
” You care to share with me whatever that’s bothering you? ” Lyra asked with a raised brow.
Tia raised her head to see Lyra staring intently at her. She sighed softly and then turned her head back to the laptop before her.
” I’m fine ” She replied.
” You know, I’m not against you two and I never was, you chose to put an end to it yourself ” Lyra said and Tia looked up at her for a while before looking away.
” Yeah I know ” She muttered.
” You two should make up, you’re still in love with him and it looks like he has been waiting all his life for you ” Lyra said and Tia nodded slowly.
” I guess ” She muttered and Lyra sighed softly.
” Is that a yes? ” She asked and Tia raised her brows.
” I want an answer. I want you two back, you’ve kept him waiting for too long ” She said.
” Isn’t that going to like.. cause you and Sire Bruce to meet again? I don’t want that to happen ”
” It won’t ” Lyra said and lowered her head.
” But I’m finding it hard to trust him again not after what he did ” She muttered truthfully.
” Which is? ” Lyra asked.
” Come on, you know what I mean ”
” He literally did nothing wrong Tia, would you inform him if I had a plan that would hurt Bruce then? Would you? ” Lyra asked and she shook her head.
” Exactly, it’s not about betrayal. Bruce is his boss and it would be totally wrong if he had done that. Make up with him okay? ” She said with pleading eyes and Tia nodded.
” I will ” She muttered and Lyra smiled lightly.
** The Ford’s Mansion **
” And that’s all? ” Bruce asked and Henri nodded.
” What about those kids? They belong to Tia? ” Bruce asked with a raised brow.
” I guess, sir ” Henri replied simply.
Bruce looked intently at her with a raised brow. ” You’re not okay, are you? ”
” I’m fine ” He replied.
” I thought you two were okay, did our divorce cause you two to break apart? ” Bruce asked worriedly.
” Not really, we just stopped talking ” Henri replied and Bruce nodded.
” Make up with her when you have the chance okay, I’m not against that ” He said.
” The kids are hers ” Henri muttered.
” There’s no way we could be together again ” He muttered and for the first time ever, Bruce saw him get emotional.
” I’m sorry ” Bruce said.
** Lyra’s Mansion **
Tia was in her room when her phone suddenly rang. She stretched her hands from the bed to the bedside drawer and then took her phone.
” Hello? ” She said, returning her gaze back to the laptop on her laps.
” Tia.. ” She heard his voice and she froze unconsciously.
” Henri? ” She called slowly.
” I’m glad you still know how I sound ” Henri said with a sad chuckle.
” I… ”
” Yeah I know it’s late, and I just wanna ask if we could meet up tomorrow.. if that’s okay with your husband ” He forced the last words out.
Tia was about correcting him but decided against it and decided to play along.
” Um, I don’t know. I will check my schedules for tomorrow and get back to you through a text but I’m sure my husband would have no problem with me meeting up with an old friend ” Tia said and he felt his heart sink.
Old friend? She really is married?
” Alright then, bye ” He muttered.
” Bye ” Tia said and he hanged up.
Tia chuckled and then stared at the screen for a very long time. ” I missed you ” She muttered before dropping her phone and then returned her gaze back to the laptop before her.
** Next Morning **
” Morning mom, morning momma ” Myles greeted and then pecked their cheeks respectively before sitting on his usual seat to have his breakfast.
” Morning baby ” Lyra responded and then ruffled his hair with a smile on.
” Morning Myles, where’s Miley? ” Tia asked.
” Nanny is still dressing up for her ” He replied and Tia nodded.
” Mom ” Myles suddenly called and Lyra turned to him with a little smile and a raised brow to encourage him to speak up.
” Miley and I want to pay Ryan a visit at their home before they leave back to Australia ” He said and Tia dropped her cutlery to look at him.
” Ryan? Who’s that? ”
” That’s Bruce’s kid, you met him before, the one who rushed over to us and mistook you for his mom, Ella ” Tia said and Lyra raised her brows.
” Ella has a son for him? Why didn’t you tell me before? ” Lyra asked.” I’m sorry, it skipped my thoughts ” She responded.
” Mom, you know Ryan’s parents? ” Myles asked with a raised brow.
” No I don’t. And you can’t go their home, we don’t know them ” Lyra replied.
” Mom, they’re nice people. Ryan’s dad is really nice especially her mom ” Myles said.
” No they’re not, especially now that they know you twins are related to me. Don’t ever go near them, stay away from their kid too, okay? ” Lyra warned.
” But mom, you said you don’t know them ” Miley suddenly said from the stairs. She had stood there watching her mom and twin brother argue.
Lyra sighed frustratedly. ” Do you two want me to stop coming home? ” Lyra asked with a straight face and they shook their head hurriedly.
” Adhere to my instructions and don’t ever bring up a discussion about them. And no more Ryan, he’s not your friend and can’t be. We are two different people, understand? ” She said and they nodded again.
” Good ” She let out a smile which faded in seconds.
She dropped her cutlery frustratedly and then walked away, up the stairs.
Tia hurried after her immediately.
” I’m sorry, it’s my fault for being careless that they had to go meet them ” She muttered guiltily.
” I’m not worried about meeting them, I’m worried about what Bruce and Ella would do if they find out the twins are his. Ella would try to harm them and Bruce.. take them away from me, I don’t want that ” She muttered.
