Chapter 38
Lyra walked out of the bathroom wiping her mouth with a tissue. ” Alright, that tastes so bad. Do you think I need to see a doctor? I think I wanna fall sick or nothing? ” She muttered to Tia.
Tia shut her eyes and then opened it again. ” It’s cause you’re pregnant ” She blurted out with a hurt look on.
Lyra raised her brows. ” I’m pregnant? ” She scoffed unbelievably and Tia nodded.
” Yeah you are, which is why you’ve been puking for the past two weeks and also the reason why you passed out last night, here.. ” She handed over the test result to her.
Lyra collected it in disbelief and when she went through it, her eyes widened in shock and disbelief.
Her eyes clogged with tears immediately and her whole body began shaking vehemently.
She looked up at Tia in tears. ” I.. I.. I’m pregnant ” She mumbled shakily and in tears.
” I’m sorry ” Tia also muttered in tears.
” I.. I.. h.. how did this happen? I… We only did it once, it only happened once! ” Lyra yelled in tears.
” I.. ” Tia tried to move closer but she raised her hand in the air.
” Don’t come closer! Don’t! ” She yelled in tears and then turned her back against Tia.
” I.. I.. can’t believe this… I.. have his baby.. I’m carrying his baby! This isn’t supposed to happen! This wasn’t supposed to happen! We only did it once! ” She yelled at herself in tears.
” Lyra.. ”
” I’m such a bitch! I’m a betrayal! Bryan’s so going to hate me now, I don’t deserve him! After months of keeping him waiting and promising him I’m his, now I’m pregnant for this devil! I’m pregnant for him! ” She yelled in tears.
She suddenly thought and wiped her tears hurriedly.
” Get me my phone ” She said at once.
” What.. ”
” Just get me my phone! ” She yelled in tears and Tia hurriedly fished out the phone and handed it over to her.
After making lots of tears for some minutes, Lyra rushed downstairs and Tia hurried after her.
She got downstairs where Bruce was sitting with Alex and Ella beside him while Henri stood behind him as they access some work.
Bruce’s lawyer rushed in immediately and they all raised their head to him, it was then they noticed Lyra who still had noticable traces of tears on.
” Lyra.. ” Bruce was forced to say as he wondered what could have made her cry that much.
” Let’s do it now! I’m ready to sign the divorce papers ” She said at once and their eyes widened.
” Miss.. ” Tia tried to call behind her.
” Bring the papers out ” She ignored their shocking stares and Bruce’s Lawyer brought them out hurriedly.
Bruce had already signed them before so it wasn’t much of a big deal.
She snatched the pen from the lawyer and made to pen down her signature when Bruce snatched it from her.
” Excuse me? ” She asked angrily, hatred glaring on her face.
” Why do you suddenly want to sign it? What happened and why are you in tears? ” Lyra gave him a resounding slap on his face making him stagger backwards and their eyes widened, Tia wasn’t excluded.
” It’s fair enough that you have always tried to ruin my life ever since I married you and you didn’t stop did you? You have ruined it completely now, all because of what? To make me sign the divorce papers, huh!? ” She yelled angrily and tears rolled down her cheeks.
Bruce was in shock as he looked at her with widened eyes. The fact that she slapped him shocked him but her crying right now is shocking him the more and making him confused. He didn’t do anything.
” I’mma do it right now! I’mma do what you fvcking want! I hope you stay away from me after this! I really hope! ” She yelled in tears and then penned down her signatures on everywhere needed in the divorce papers.
She handed them over to the lawyer. ” I wanna see them get registered in the court before I leave this country ” She said authoritatively to the lawyer who nodded and then exited the mansion immediately.
She turned to Bruce. ” I hope we never meet again! ” She muttered hatefully and almost immediately, some guards walked in with some maids behind them.
” Get every stuffs of mine out of this house! ” She commanded and they nodded before getting to work.
Almost immediately, Lyra’s lawyer walked in. ” Miss ” He greeted with a little bow.
” Where’s it? ” Lyra asked and immediately, he handed over some documents to her which she placed before her.
” Sign them all! ” She stated and Ella raised her brows.
” What are they? ” She had to ask.
” I’m taking every property of mine that is with you. My company and my mansions ” She stated blankly.
With the murderous look on Lyra, Ella knew better not to argue or say a word and she penned down her signatures immediately.
Lyra took them and handed it over to her lawyer. ” Work on them in the next 24 hours ” She ordered and he bowed before exiting the mansion.
” Get your stuffs ” Lyra said to Tia and then left their presence.
Tia watched as she walked away and she bit her lips lightly, she glanced at Henri and he was also staring at her.
She’s leaving? She’s leaving him? He wouldn’t come with them even if she asks him to.
And she also can’t stay, she knows too many secrets of Lyra and Bruce might force them out of her.
She turned when she noticed she was almost in tears, she rushed out of the mansion to get er stuffs.
” What just happened here? ” Ella asked no one.
” What we wanted to happen? ” Bruce asked confusingly, lost in his own thoughts.
” Excuse me please ” Henri said when he couldn’t hold it anymore and with that, he rushed out.
There was no maid in the apartment when he walked in and even when he got to Tia’s room but he could hear her silent sobs and he suddenly lost control of himself as a tear threatened to roll down.
He pushed the door open slowly and Tia turned immediately.
On seeing him, she rushed over to him and hugged him tightly and he wrapped his arms around her.
” I will miss you so much ” Tia cried in his arms and he smiled sadly.
” Me too, I really wish I could go with you but I can’t ” He muttered sadly.
Tia broke the hug and held his face in her palm. ” You won’t stop loving me even though we are far apart right? ” She asked, staring deeply into his eyes.
” I won’t, I promise ” Henri said truthfully and then smashed his lips on hers.
** Next Day **
Tia got in the backseat with Lyra and she sighed sadly when she saw Henri looking sad and watching her.
She waved lightly and he did the same with a little smile. She looked away so he wouldn’t see her tears.
” You can stay if you want to ” Lyra said without looking at her and Tia turned to her.
” But.. ”
” That’s if you’re gonna keep your mouth shut about the fact that I’m gonna carrying Bruce’s baby ” Lyra turned to her.
Tia sighed and then looked away. ” I don’t think I will be able to keep my mouth if I’m with them. It’s fine, we would meet later in the future ” She muttered and Lyra nodded and her driver began to drive out of the Bruce’s mansion.
** Two days later **
* Lyra’s Mansion *
” You’re going to keep on ignoring his calls? ” Tia asked with a worried look on.
” I have no choice Tia. I feel stupid and disgusted right now. You don’t understand how I feel right now, I betrayed him! I fvcking betrayed him ” Lyra muttered, almost in tears.
Tia pulled her closer to herself. ” No you didn’t, it’s not your fault. It happened unexpectedly, how about you tell him and he might understand if he truly loves you ” Tia tried to calm her down.
Lyra turned to her. ” You sure? ” She asked and Tia nodded.
” Yeah, call him and inform him about the break up with Sire Bruce first, I’m sure he would be really happy ” Tia said with a smile and Lyra nodded.
Lyra dialed Bryan’s number and like he had been expecting her call, he picked up.
” Babe.. ” Lyra called.
” Let’s meet up ” Bryan cut her off and for the very first time ever, Lyra felt a different aura around him.
The way he spoke.. differently and she knew something was off. And what did he mean by meeting up? Isn’t he supposed to be hiding his face still? Or is he aware she signed the divorce papers already?
Various thoughts roamed her head at that moment.
” Bryan.. Is that you? ” Lyra asked confusingly.
” I texted you already, we should end things since my work is done ” He blurted out and Lyra felt her whole world crashing down before her.
