Chapter 37
He hurried off Ella and Ella got up too and they both put on their clothes hurriedly.
Bruce rushed to the door and with a confused brow at Tia who looked scared and almost in tears.
” What happened? ” He asked, breathing heavily.
” She suddenly fainted in her room ” Tia replied and then led the way and the two followed her immediately.
Henri joined them hurriedly and with Lyra in his hands, they rush out of the mansion immediately and then into the car before Henri drove off hurriedly to the hospital.
* At The Hospital *
Dr Williams walked out of the ward and they all rushed to him. ” Is she okay? ” Bruce was the first to ask.
Dr Williams passed him a simple smile. ” Yeah she’s fine. She only passed out as a result of stress ” He said and then passed Tia a simple look before looking back to Bruce whose brows was raised confusingly.
” Stress? She passed out cause of stress? She doesn’t even work? So how come? ” He was confused.
Tia cleared her throat knowingly. ” Um, she had actually been doing some workouts when she lost her memories and I think it’s that, right?.. ” She turned to Dr Williams with a knowing look.
” That can cause it right? ” She asked, looking straight into his eyes and he smiled before averting his gaze from hers.
” Well, yeah it sure can cause it, if she hadn’t been working out from the start and she suddenly started to do it, that might be the cause of it then. So please, she has to stop that ” He said and then walked away not after giving Tia a knowing look.
Henri noticed it but kept mute anyways.
” I’m glad she’s fine ” Tia muttered worriedly and before they could think of walking into the ward, Lyra walked out.
” I’m fine now, let’s head home. It’s late ” She said with a light yawn.
” Did Dr Williams tell you the cause of you passing out already? ” Ella asked.
” Yeah he did and it’s nothing of a big deal so let’s leave ” She said and glanced at Tia who seemed to be worried and then scared at the same time.
Did Dr Williams really tell her the real cause of why she had fainted? Did he? Why’s she not freaking out?
” Um.. I.. I.. I think I have a running stomach ” Tia suddenly held her stomach and Henri turned to her worriedly. They all turned to her.
” Are you okay? ” He asked worriedly.
” What’s wrong? ” Lyra also asked worriedly.
” I apologize, I really have to use the toilet ” She bowed and then hurried off immediately.
” Oh great, we have to wait for her now ” Ella said with a scoff and Lyra glared at her.
” No one begged you to, if you can’t wait, the get the hell out of here ” She said with a hiss and then walked over to one of the waiting chairs in the balcony and sat down.
Ella glared at her hatefully while Bruce pulled her to another seat in the balcony. She was still mad at Lyra for disturbing their night.
Henri stared at the direction Tia rushed to worriedly.
Meanwhile, Tia sneaked out of the corner where she had hid and then tiptoed to the doctor’s office.
She knocked gently at his door. ” Come in ” He said some seconds after and she walked in slowly.
” Evening sir ” She bowed lightly.
” Evening ” He greeted in reply.
” Is she okay? ” Tia asked with a worried look on and Dr Williams nodded with a little smile.
” Yeah she is. She only needs rest. She actually fainted cause her mental health was stressed. She should avoid stress and overthinking for now so she won’t lose the baby. It’s best if she knows about the fact that she’s pregnant now so she can take care of herself and avoid those things, okay? ” Dr Williams said and Tia nodded.
” I will, today ” She assured and Dr Williams smiled.
” She needs to register for antenatal soon, please let it be quick as it might be dangerous for her baby health ” He added and Tia nodded.
” I will leave then sir ” She said and Dr Williams nodded with a smile.
Tia turned and then with a sigh, began to walk out.
She walked out of the doctor’s office and headed to the toilet to act like she was heading out of there.
Meanwhile, Henri came out of his hiding spot with a confused look on.
He had watched as Tia walked into the doctor’s office and then walked out of his office. He was confused and then the secret looks the doctor passed her.
He wondered what they were for. And why would she like that she was heading to the bathroom and then head to the doctor’s office instead, he was confused as hell.
” I’m done, I’m so sorry for keeping you guys waiting ” Tia apologized guiltily.
” It’s fine, is everything okay now? ” Lyra asked worriedly and Tia nodded with a light smile.
She glanced at Henri who was looking somewhere else and she wondered what was up with him.
” Let’s leave then ” Bruce said and they nodded and began heading to the entrance while Henri and Tia were behind them.
” You care to explain what’s between Dr Williams and you? ” Henri asked as they both walked side by side and without looking at her, his face positioned straight forward.
Tia turned to him in suprise and then a little bit confused on what he meant.
” W.. what do you mean? ” She asked.
” Right. You’re only gonna pretend it’s nothing ” He said, still not looking at her.
” Henri! ” Tia snapped and held his hand, stopping his walk and making him look at her.
Henri raised his brows. ” What are you trying to insinuate? ” Tia asked with a raised brow, and searching for some details of what he meant through his eyes.
” Tia, we will talk about this later. We are at work” Henri said simply and then released himself from her grip and then walked away.
Tia rushed after him slowly still in confusion.
Is he thinking.. is he thinking she has a thing with Dr Williams? Why would he think about such thing?
They all got into the car and Henri drove off.
* Home *
Henri had actually dropped Ella off at her own mansion and they were also home already.
Lyra walked in first and then Bruce, leaving the two alone in the car.
Tia also made to alight from the car and the door suddenly went locked.
She turned to Henri who stared at her blankly. ” What? ” She asked confusingly.
” Let’s talk now ” He only replied, still staring at her blankly.
” Oh, about earlier right? ” Tia muttered awkwardly and Henri only raised his brows.
” It’s.. I.. I seriously have nothing with the doctor, I promise ” She said and Henri raised his brows.
” So? Why were you in his office instead of the bathroom? And why did you lie about it, even to miss Lyra? ”
” That.. that I will explain later.. not now, just trust me.. I’m not.. ” She was cut off when Henri unlocked her door and also alighted from the car. He’s mad at her.
She hurriedly got down from the car and rushed after him.
” Henri.. ” She held his arm and he stopped.
” I swear it’s nothing. I will tell you about it later, not now okay? ”
Henri turned to her with a light scoff.
” You don’t trust me? ” He asked hurtfully.
” No, not that… I.. ”
” Then why can’t you tell me? ”
” It’s.. ”
” Alright, just forget it. We will talk about this tomorrow ” He said and proceeded inside.
Henri actually has a room for himself alone inside the Ford’s Mansion since he’s Bruce’s personal guard and the head of all other guard.
While Tia shares a room with two other maids in another little house inside the compound but she’s been staying in The Ford’s Mansion since she is staying in Lyra’s room.
She decided against sleeping in Lyra’s room and walked to the maid’s little apartment and then to her room.
” You’re sleeping here today? ” One of her roommate asked and she nodded lightly before walking to her little bed space and then slept on it.
She sighed and then closed her eyes.
** Next Morning **
Tia walked into the mansion and ascending the stairs, she was met with Henri who was descending the stairs. He stopped on seeing her but she didn’t, she ignored him and then walked away.
Henri bit his lips lightly before walking over to Bruce who was seated at the dinning table.
Tia got to Lyra’s room an twisting the door knob open. ” Hey ” Lyra said worriedly and walked over to her at once.
” Are you okay? ” She asked worriedly and Tia nodded with a little smile.
” Henri told me you slept at the maid’s apartment, why? Is everything okay? ”
” We had a little fight and I.. wasn’t feeling too well ” Tia muttered.
” Sorry for that ” Lyra muttered.
” Do you want us to.. ” Lyra couldn’t finish her words when she felt a hot liquid rush up to her throat and she rushed to the bathroom immediately.
Tia sighed worriedly. ” I better tell her now ” She muttered.
