Chapter 10 He Saved Her

Book:Savage Temptation: Love From The Darkness Published:2024-6-5

“Kalvin?” Sookie weakly called out. She hadn’t expected Kalvin to be so despicable. She shouldn’t have placed her hopes on him.
Approaching where she lay slumped on the sofa, her pulse raced faster and faster, despite her body growing increasingly numb.
The beer slipped from her hand, and her heart suddenly trembled.
“Why did you take off your shirt?” she muttered.
He silenced her.
Oh my God.
She realized his hand was on his belt, undoing it, but she was utterly powerless to move.
Then another voice filled the room.
“You damn bastard.”
Max-Kalvin’s terrible friend and bandmate-followed Kalvin into the room, grinning evilly at her. He too began to remove his T-shirt.
“Please,” she whispered softly, the room’s edges beginning to fade, her body completely numb. “Please, don’t do this.”
She collapsed, her head hitting the sofa.
“Burn down our damn practice space, huh?” Max laughed. “This will teach you, you bitch.”
She couldn’t breathe, couldn’t move, couldn’t even scream, as everything turned black.
As Kalvin looked at the unconscious Sookie, he quickly called his two brothers. “Hey, guys, we’ve got a show tonight.”
At that moment, Sookie wasn’t completely unconscious. She heard Kalvin and his bastard brothers’ conversation. Internally, she prayed to God that someone would come to save her. She didn’t want to be violated by this group of beasts.
In less than ten minutes, Kalvin’s brothers had assembled in the living room, seeing Sookie’s well-shaped body, the two bastards eagerly pounced.
No, no. Sookie wanted to struggle, but she had no strength.
“Stop, don’t,” Sookie weakly pleaded, hoping these people could have a shred of conscience.
“Stop what? When you set the fire, did you think about today?” Kalvin said fiercely.
As one of the brothers kissed Sookie’s mouth and groped her smooth thighs, the other couldn’t resist joining in, pushing aside the first brother and pushing up Sookie’s shirt, fondling her flesh.
Meanwhile, Kalvin filmed on the side.
Sookie felt sick. Tears streamed from her eyes. Oh God, please, someone save her.
Just as the three were about to remove their pants to proceed to the next step, there was a knock at the door.
“Damn, who the hell is bothering me now,” Kalvin cursed as he walked towards the door.
“What’s the matter?” Kalvin opened the door to find a handsome tough guy standing there.
“I’m looking for Sookie. I know she’s here,” Enzo said coldly.
Kalvin wasn’t afraid, after all, he was also a somewhat famous “big shot” in the area. “She’s not here, bro.”
“Really?” Enzo growled. “Are you sure?”
Enzo’s gaze passed Kalvin and saw another face peering out from a dark room at the other end of the hallway.
It was obvious that something was amiss here.
Seeing Enzo looking into the room, probably feeling guilty, Kalvin frowned. “Hey, what the hell are you-”
When Enzo walked into the apartment despite the resistance, his long legs stepped into the living room. He couldn’t help but frown. This place looked like a den for beasts-guitars hung on hooks on the walls, there was excrement everywhere in the bathroom, and the kitchen was littered with old takeout containers.
The whole place oozed three words-dumping ground.
“Sookie-”
“Get the hell out, you jerk!” With a roar, something hit Enzo’s back. He grunted, feeling dizzy again, a ringing in his ears, almost fainting.
Damn it, he’d had enough for the night.
Turning around, his mouth emitted a bestial roar as he wrested the damn baseball bat from the skinny punk’s hand and viciously struck the boy’s hand with it, probably breaking his hand.
“What the hell are you doing here-” Kalvin shouted in shock, trying to use loud scolding to drive off Enzo, this barbaric uninvited guest.
Enzo had lost his last bit of patience. He reached into his coat, pulled out his gun, and the boy’s eyes widened with fear.
“Oh! Please! Don’t!”
“Don’t play games with me,” Enzo said harshly. “Where is she?”
Terrified, Kalvin tried to hold back his trembling legs and led Enzo inside. Enzo followed the boy through the dimly lit living room into a small room. When he saw the pale face, his blood froze instantly.
She lay weakly on the sofa, barely conscious, her coat removed, her shirt pulled up to her bra, her skirt rolled up at her waist.
As if shattered.
In those silentmoments, Kalvin sensed a chilling atmosphere.
Sure enough, the next moment, Enzo roared and dragged the group of young punks, who liked to hang out in bars and toy with women, to their feet, pummeling them with his fists. They screamed, blood streaming from their broken noses as Enzo flung them to the other side of the room like bags of refuse.
The boy who had been struck back with the baseball bat still lay on the floor, attempting to crawl toward the door. But Enzo strode over, stepping on his ankle as the boy screamed in pain. Enzo then grabbed his neck, pulling him up and tossing him onto the flat-screen TV.
Finally, he turned to Kalvin, ignoring his crying and screaming, and punched him in the gut twice, then with his forearm to the face, slamming him to the ground and kicking him in the groin, relishing in his deflated state.
“We didn’t touch her!” Kalvin screamed, holding his groin, tears and blood streaming from his nose and lips.
“I swear, man! We didn’t-” another boy cried, pleading for mercy.
“Then why did she decide to take off her own shirt?” Enzo raged. If he had been a second later, he couldn’t bear to think of the suffocating fate that might have befallen her.
Enzo pulled the boy back up and began to pummel him with his fists until he stopped screaming.
Finally, Enzo stopped, checking to ensure the person was still breathing, then turned to the other punk.
“What’s your name?”
The boy kept squirming, trying to get away from Enzo, his face showing fear.
Enzo raised his gun again, and only then did the boy tremble and raise his hands. “Don’t! My name is Max!”
“And him?”
“Kalvin.”
Enzo narrowed his eyes. “What is Kalvin to that girl?”
“My boyfriend-” Sookie woke up, but she shook her head gently. “No, it should be my ex-boyfriend.”
“Listen, man, this was his idea, I swear!” the boy pointed at Kalvin, scared, kneeling and pleading, pointing towards Kalvin who was lying on the ground.
Enzo threw Max to the ground, then charged at Kalvin, lifting him up like a chicken, commanding, “Take off your pants.”
Kalvin blinked, his face covered in tears and blood, looking confused. “Wh-what?”
“I said take off your damn pants,” Enzo bellowed patiently.
Kalvin was stunned, still not reacting. But when Enzo raised the gun, he sobbed and recoiled. He quickly undid his belt and pulled down his jeans.
“And the underwear.”
Kalvin’s face fell. “Man-”
“Am I stuttering?”
Kalvin swallowed hard, looking at Enzo’s gun with a terrified gaze, then bent down to remove his boxer briefs.
Suddenly, Kalvin screamed-a loud, high-pitched sound. It was the sound a man makes when he feels the naked edge of a blade against his testicles.
“Kalvin, I need you to listen carefully to what I’m about to say,” Enzo’s voice was icy, his eyes locking onto the sobbing face in front of him, the switchblade pressed against his private parts, making him tremble and sob.
“Otherwise, you’re finished in Boston, understand?”
“But-But she’s still alive, don’t-” When Enzo pressed the blade even tighter against Kalvin’s testicles, Kalvin screamed again, his eyes tightly shut, looking like he was about to faint.
“No, Kalvin, that doesn’t matter. What matters is you all bullied her. If you’re still here in twelve hours, I’ll come back-” Enzo tapped the blade against Kalvin’s “balls,” “I’ll come back to cut these off you and watch you swallow them. Do I make myself clear?”
Before Enzo could finish the sentence, Kalvin nodded. “Clear, clear!”
“Perfect.” Enzo turned to Max, watching him move away, his eyes fixed on the blade in Enzo’s hand.
“Don’t say anything, the same applies to you, punk. Of course, unless you also want a comprehensive treatment?”
Max vigorously shook his head. “No-no, man, I understand what you mean. I’ll leave right away. I swear.”
Enzo sheathed his knife and gun, then turned to Sookie, still lying powerless on the sofa, unconscious. Enzo grabbed a blanket to cover her, then held her in his arms, turning towards the door.
