Third Person’s POV;
“Gosh, I love you” Layla said not believing her ears.
“I love you more” saying that Liam crashed his lips on hers.
Liam wrapped his hands around her waist and pulled her towards his chest. Layla’s hands went to his chest as he took her by surprise.
Layla was shocked for a second but her lips started moving with his like an automatic reaction.
The kiss was no way near the gentle kisses they shared in the past. It was filled with love and passion and with each passing second, it was getting more and more passionate and rough.
Layla’s hands went from his chest to the back of his neck and she pulled him towards her lips to let him take whatever he wanted. She wanted to feel him more. She was needy as well as greedy and she wasn’t ashamed of it.
The way she kissed him back with equal passion, Liam knew she wanted him too. Their lips were moving up and down with the rhythm of perfection.
When she thought this couldn’t get better, Liam proved her wrong. His expert hands caressed her back gently but seductively which was taking her out of this world.
She moaned on his lips but he didn’t stop the torture; rather along with caressing her back, he even pinched the side of her waist.
She gasped in response and Liam took the opportunity to insert his tongue inside her mouth to deepen the kiss. He started to explore her mouth like he was there for a treasure hunt and he finally found his treasure. He loved how she tasted so sweet.
In a matter of seconds, their tongues started to fight for dominance. Layla gave him tough competition.
With each of her movements, she showed him that she was indeed Alpha’s daughter. But Liam was the dominant male beta who wasn’t ready to surrender either. He did give her a hard time and claimed the victory at the end.
The kiss had emotions of longing as they were going to be separated for a while.
She didn’t know if Liam will be able to survive the battle either. Tears started to fall from her eyes. It flowed towards their lips and now, they could feel the salty taste of tears too.
Liam didn’t mind it. He was ready to accept anything and everything if it was from Layla. He gently removed one of his hands from her waist and placed it on her cheek. He wiped her tears from his thumb but his other hand kept caressing her tensed back to calm her down.
He tried to part away to ask her what was wrong or if he had hurt her somehow, but Layla didn’t let him part from her. She was not ready to let go just yet.
Liam held the side of her cheek and kissed her more passionately, taking her directly to seventh heaven.
They were lost in the kiss and the pool of emotions that came with it. In reality, they were lost in each other and didn’t want to be found again.
Their happiness didn’t last long as the door of the great hall opened.
Liam pushed Layla away thinking it was Alpha King Cole.
“Oh, I am sorry. I didn’t mean to interrupt!” Came Elijah’s embarrassed voice from the other side of the room.
He kept his hands on his eyes and turned around, facing the door again.
“Ouch!” Layla shouted as tripped and nearly fell on the floor.
“I am sorry, babe” Liam said in an apologetic tone.
“Have you ever heard about knocking?” Layla turned towards Elijah, fuming with anger.
He turned back towards them and rolled his eyes before answering,
“I apologized for interrupting your deep, ahem, session but it’s the great hall, Darling. Get a room!” He then turned towards Liam,
“You know, Dad or anyone else could have walked in. You got lucky it was me” Elijah said as he did them a favor by interrupting their session.
“Yeah, very lucky” Layla replied sarcastically.
“I am sorry, I was supposed to get the army ready. I will leave now” Liam said while he was about to move towards the door but Elijah stopped him.
“No need, bro. The army is ready. I just came here to call you” Elijah said already knowing that they would need some time to talk things through.
“I apologize for not completing my task, Alpha” Liam said apologetically as he got carried forward and neglected his duty.
“That’s okay, Liam. Layla needed you. I don’t mind such minute mistakes” Elijah said with a smile.
“You are leaving now?” Layla asked in a low voice.
“Yeah, we need to. We want to reach there before we regret it. Other packs are on their way too” Elijah answered his voice leaving all trace of joy which was there a few seconds ago.
“I see. Take care, Liam” Layla said with eyes stuck on Liam.
“You too, baby” Liam said giving her a quick kiss.
Elijah cleared his throat to get their attention, “Ahem! Ahem”
“You also take care, Elijah” Layla said and hugged her cousin.
“Same to you, dear, and don’t take stress. Everything will be alright” Elijah patted her back gently.
“Yeah” Layla replied softly.
“Well, Ahem, Layla” Elijah started hesitantly.
“Yes?” Layla looked at him confusedly as he never hesitates about anything.
“Can you do me a favor?” Elijah asked while scratching back of his neck.
“What favor?” came a familiar voice from behind.
They turned around to see Cora standing near the door.
“What are you doing here, little demon?” Elijah asked with a look of irritation.
“I followed you. I was missing you, bro” Cora said dramatically.
“I just met you in Mum’s room” Elijah said emotionlessly.
“Correction: I was missing you already” Cora added with a tight smile.
“What was the favor about, Elijah?” Layla asked curiously.
