Samara couldn’t take it anymore; she’d been staring at that letter for hours, and the curiosity was eating her up to the extent that she began pacing around and biting her fingers nervously. She needed to know what it contained, but… Walden wouldn’t be back till tomorrow. No! She couldn’t wait till then! She needed to know what the message said now!!! But… if she opened it before he came, Walden would know because she’d have broken the seal… Oh well, she’ll cross that bridge when she got there, after all, he’ll only be mad at her for a second… in fact, he’ll forget all about his anger after receiving a good blow job from her.
She took the scroll in her hand and broke the seal, unwrapping the paper to reveal it’s content. Anger burned through her after reading the message that was meant for Walden.
“So, the Lotus princess is still alive after all! Not only that… she remains a prisoner in the silver pack house and she expects that Walden will come to save her!!!”
She then hurried over to her drawer, fumbling for something inside the shelves with her second hand. “I’ll be damned if I ever let Walden see this letter! DAMNED!!!”
Finally finding what she was looking for, she smirked as she held out the paper in the flames of the lighter she’d turned on, watching as the white paper gradually turned to ashes dropping on the ground, until there was nothing left of it.
“Sorry dear princess, but I’m afraid dear Walden won’t be coming to rescue you…”

Messenger Stanley spent the greater part of the night travelling from the night shadow territory back to the silver pack house, it was already morning when he arrived back in his small tortoise car. It had been a rough two nights for him delivering this message, but at least it was all over, now all that was left to do was to inform the alpha.
On his way back inside, he met Beta Renard passing by, the Beta stopped upon seeing him.
“Messenger Stanley, how did it go at the night shadow pack?”
“All went well sire, all that’s left to do is inform the alpha that the message has been successfully delivered.”
“Hmmm… Are you sure you met with alpha Walden? And you gave it to him by hand?”
Fidgeting, “Um… y-yes Sire.”
Seeing how shaky he was then made Renard throw him a suspicious glance.
“What did he say after you gave him the letter?”
“Um… … he… he seemed surprised sire, you know… other packs hardly receive any messages from us. It seemed strange to him receiving a letter from the silver pack’s alpha out of the sudden blue.”
The suspicious look disappeared and Renard cleared his doubts then, “I suppose so… but this prisoner is different, and ordinarily the alpha would never do such a thing, but just this once he… decided to make an exception this time.”
“Yes, that’s very thoughtful of him sire.”
“Let me not delay you any further, the alpha needs to know that Walden has gotten his message, he should be awake by now, and remember, only one knock is enough.”
“Yes sire,” Stanley nodded. Of course, no one ever forgets the one-knock rule in the silver pack house, it would be a foolish thing to do so.

“Come in,” alpha Damian responded to the knock on his door, like he’d been waiting for it, he got up from his bed and put on his robe, before going to meet with the guest.
“Good morning sire,” Stanley bowed.
“Good morning, Stanley. How was the journey?”
“Rough sire.”
Smirks, “I like your response… Well, sorry about that, but at least it was for a purpose, if it turns out to be successful then Miranda’s life will be saved. Were you able to deliver the message I sent?”
“Yes sire, I was.”
He raised a brow, “Are you sure that alpha Walden received it by hand?”
“Y-yes sire, I gave it to him myself.”
Damian nodded, “good, and thank you Stanley, you’re beginning to prove yourself so well.”
“Thank you sire.”
“You may go now, and before you do, find the keeper, let her know that I’ll be seeing Miranda this morning.”
“Yes sire,” the messenger bowed one more time before he left.

***TWO DAYS LATER***
Walden still hadn’t come, it’s been two days since he received the letter, and yet, he still hadn’t come. Miranda was worried, she couldn’t sleep, tomorrow is the last day, this might probably be her last night here, she feels so choked up in this room, it’s a lovely space, there’s breeze coming in through the window, but it feels as if it isn’t enough. She tumbled with the sheets for hours, before she finally gave up on sleep.
She got up from the bed, putting on her robe to cover her night dress, along with her slippers, maybe some fresh air outside would help. She left her room, and went through the halls to the nearest courtyard, taking a seat on one of the benches. The night was quiet, with a calm evening breeze, it felt so much better here. How she wished she could just forget everything…
She’d stayed there for about an hour before she suddenly looked up and spotted a silhouette in the highest balcony. Even though it was so high up, her clear vision didn’t allow her to mistake who it was, the fact that the balcony belonged to the alpha’s chambers confirmed it too.
Alpha Damian, he was gazing down at her from his verandah, how long had he been there? From the look on his face, Miranda didn’t need anyone to tell her that he had the same problem as she did; getting some sleep.
Why did his heart tug whenever he saw her? Why did he show her mercy that first day? Why couldn’t he bear the thought of her sleeping all alone in that cold empty cell? Why was he granting her favors he’d never thought of giving in years? Was it because he’d been in the situation before? Needing help with no one to give it, and now this girl who claims to be a princess…
He’d been watching her from his verandah, but didn’t know she’d caught him, as soon as he caught the view of her eyes staring back at him, he quickly looked away, turning, walking back to enter into his room, pretending as if she wasn’t there.
Miranda was relieved that he’d gone back inside, why did he spend so much time watching her? And what else was this strange feeling in her heart? Disappointment? Why did he leave the minute she’d caught him staring at her?
