Book:Fated To The Ruthless Alpha King Published:2024-6-5

Miranda trembled as she approached his quarters, although she was thankful to this man for sparing her life, and also thankful to him for taking her out of that nightmare of a cell yesterday, he still terrified the life of her, and now, she was going to meet with him in his chambers! Alone! Oh, how she dreaded this moment! She didn’t want to go to him at all!
She walked until she reached her destination, now standing in front of the large double doors, hesitant to knock.
“You can do this!” Her wolf cheered her on and then she took the bold step.
Knock-knock-knock
She waited and waited, no response, scared to knock again, especially with the endless warnings madame Jane had given her about meeting the alpha before she came here. “You only need to knock once, no matter how long you have to wait, do not disturb him, he hates that. Do not speak to him without being spoken to, and most importantly, you must never… never question any decision he makes.”
She shivered, standing there, her palms sweaty. After waiting for what seemed like forever, she finally heard his response from inside.
“Come in.”
She opened the door and walked into the room, it was so big, that one could pretty much get lost in here. Miranda wondered how he could sleep here, all alone, the room was so spacious, so cold, seemed empty if it weren’t for the exquisite furnishings.
He was seated at his work table, signing some papers, before she came and stood in front of him.
“Good morning, alpha Damian,” she greeted.
He only responded to her greeting with a cold glare which made her almost jump out of her skin, but no, she stood with her head high, she needed to be bold, she had to be.
Putting down his fountain pen and getting straight to the point, “the messenger I sent is back now, which means that alpha Walden must have received my message by now. I only wanted to inform you that the three days you have starts counting from now, if your alpha doesn’t come by then, I don’t need to remind you what will happen.”
She nodded her head, “thank you alpha Damian, thank you for everything, for sparing my life, for the shelter, for….”
“Get out.”
No more words were needed to be said as she kindly excused herself and headed on her way out, a young lady, about her age, barged into the room, with her shoulders held high like she owned the place. Miranda was about to move out of her way, when Katrina bumped into her with her shoulder on purpose.
“S-sorry,” even though she wasn’t at fault, Miranda still felt it polite to apologize, maybe the woman would mirror her kindness.
“Watch where you’re going, idiot!” Katrina spat, before pushing her out of the way completely, Miranda almost fell but thankfully held her balance. Alpha Damian remained at his desk; he watched it all but didn’t say a word.
Who was that woman and why was she so mean? Miranda wondered, she turned to spare a glance and the next moment what she saw shocked her; the woman was already on her knees between his legs, unzipping his trousers. She quickly turned her face away, but the curious part of her made her hesitate for a second.
“You’re welcome to join us dear,” Katrina laughed sarcastically, but Miranda kept on walking towards the exit, paying no mind to her words, then as she was about to reach the door, she began to hear suction sounds next. She quickly scurried out of the room, not bothering to look back for a second more.

***A FEW HOURS EARLIER***
Samara had just returned from training when she saw the messenger standing at the packhouse gates, he was speaking to the guards, as they were reluctant to let him in. She was curious to know what was going on, after sending her troops inside, she went to meet with the guest.
“Who are you and who have you come to see?” She asked him.
“I am messenger Stanley, from the silver pack, I come bearing a message for alpha Walden of the night shadow pack.”
“And who is this message from?”
“It’s from the silver pack’s alpha Damian ma’am.”
She held out her hand, “give it to me.”
The messenger shook his head. “I’m afraid I can’t do that ma’am; I am supposed to give this letter to alpha Walden by hand.”
“Well, alpha Walden isn’t around, he’s training and he won’t be for a couple of hours and given the circumstances, I’m sure the guards won’t let you stay here for very long since you don’t belong to this pack. If there’s any chance that alpha Walden will receive your message, then I’m your best bet.”
The messenger still stood hesitant, before the guards began to pester him again. “Young man, you cannot remain here, we do not allow foreigners in our territory just like that, if it were your pack, you wouldn’t even be allowed to cross the border, let alone reach here, you have to take your leave now!”
Samara smirked, walking away, “suit yourself, I’m sure your alpha will be pleased to hear that you failed to deliver his message, he might even spare your life.”
She’d already entered through the gates before she heard the young man calling out to her desperately.
“Wait!! Please… ma’am, wait!!”
She turned back, reaching where he stood again before holding her hand out to receive the letter. The messenger shakily put it in her hand.
“Thank you, you can leave now, and be rest assured, I’ll make sure your message gets to the alpha himself.”
She took the wrapped scroll from his hand and entered back through the gates, to the beta’s quarters, and finally, to her room. What she saw today no doubt surprised her, a letter from the silver pack’s alpha, she’s not sure that anyone from the other tribes has ever received a message from anyone in the silver pack, those wolves rarely mixed with anyone, not to talk of the alpha himself. This must be a really important message for Walden to have received. What could it be? She wondered.
