Jaeden chuckled, “So, what’s the deal? Are you planning to raise the price on me?”
Bella snorted coldly in her heart, Raise the price? Still trying to deceive me now? Dream on.
Since Jaeden showed no mercy first, she wouldn’t hesitate to retaliate. If Jaeden wanted to devour her and then deny it, then she wouldn’t acknowledge her own actions either. If he wanted to play dirty, then she would too, by giving Jaeden an empty promise.
After some thought, she said, “Mr. Garza, here’s the deal. That woman tonight, she was supposed to discuss cooperation with you, right?”
“So, all I ask is for you to admit that it was Charlotte who approached you, wanting to secure orders through disgraceful means, but you firmly declined her.”
“As long as you smear her name a bit, then I’ll accompany you for a month. How about that? Take your time to consider this offer.”
Hearing Bella’s proposal, Jaeden was momentarily stunned. Indeed, the most poisonous woman’s heart. This woman was not to be trifled with; she was too ruthless.
He was also very curious about the grudge between her and that Charlotte. Why did she want to ruin the other woman’s reputation?
This made Jaeden curious about this Charlotte, whom he had never met. What kind of person could Bella, who was resourceful, shameless, and capable, consider as her opponent?
Only a formidable character could make her hate so intensely and resort to such dirty tricks to eliminate her, right?
Jaeden chuckled and said, “Alright, I’ll consider it.”
He didn’t immediately agree because he wanted to meet this Charlotte first.
A woman who made Bella so wary couldn’t be a simple character. Perhaps there would be some pleasant surprises after meeting her?
Upon hearing Jaeden’s ambiguous response, Bella felt indignant.
This cunning man really thought of her as a fool, but Bella had only given him a verbal promise. Since Jaeden had tried to deceive her before, now it was her turn to play him. She bet Jaeden wouldn’t dare to publicize these matters.
Otherwise, it would be embarrassing for everyone involved. No one would dare to spread rumors, and they would have to swallow their grievances silently. Besides, even if Jaeden was powerful, he was just a small manager. Could he really interfere with her life?
After sealing the deal, they would go their separate ways, and there would be little contact between them.
And as soon as she secured the order, she would cut ties immediately. Did he really think she would accompany this old fox on her own accord? He must be dreaming!
Both of them harbored ulterior motives, so they hung up without another word.
Soon, it was time for Charlotte and Jaeden’s scheduled meeting.
Milky Restaurant.
A car slowly parked outside, and Jaeden walked in, heading straight for the private room Charlotte had booked in advance.
The restaurant wasn’t upscale, but it wasn’t low-end either. It was just average, suitable for middle-class families.
However, Jaeden didn’t care about that. When dining with a woman, the food was secondary; what mattered was whether he could gain something from her, or how much benefit he could ultimately reap… that’s what he cared about the most!
How much could a meal be worth? Even if it cost twenty or thirty thousand, it was just a meal, not money in hand.
But if Charlotte was willing to give him a high commission, then even a small percentage could be worth tens of thousands, much more profitable than a high-end banquet.
Jaeden was pragmatic.
After arriving, he sent Charlotte a message, informing her that he was already in the private room. Charlotte replied that she would be there soon.
Seven or eight minutes later, a Maybach stopped outside Milky Restaurant, attracting the envy of some passersby.
From the car stepped out an elegant and immaculately dressed beauty, who hurriedly walked into Milky Restaurant.
