Frank walked into a dark corner and dialed Scar’s number, but found that no matter how many times he dialed, he couldn’t get through. His brows furrowed involuntarily.
“Forget it, my wedding matters more.”
It’s normal for those guys to suddenly be unreachable. They wouldn’t dare to act out without getting the money first.
A few minutes later, he returned to the backstage and said lightly, “Those guys have sent your children back.”
“You hurry up and get your makeup done, put on the wedding dress, and smile to finish this wedding, understand?” He pinched Charlotte’s cheeks, his eyes filled with greed.
“Okay!” Charlotte smiled.
Frank found himself somewhat entranced; he hadn’t seen Charlotte smile in these past few days.
“Since things have come to this, there’s no use resisting anymore. It’s better to enjoy wealth you give to me.” Charlotte smiled, “You go out first.”
“I’ll do my makeup myself.”
Frank chuckled, feeling smug, “Anyway, you can’t escape from my grasp. I like the way you’re behaving now.”
With that, he strode out, instructing the others at the door, “Keep an eye on her.”
In Holland Residence, Quentin personally prepared a sumptuous breakfast for the two kids.
After breakfast, Janessa wiped her mouth with her hand and said, “Daddy… we’ve finished eating, should we go find Mommy now?”
“Okay!”
Quentin smiled, and Eileen walked up from behind, whispering, “Sir, the Duncan family’s ceremony is at noon…”
“Okay.” Quentin nodded slightly, a cold light flashing in his eyes.
Quentin vowed to protect his woman for a lifetime! No one could bully her!
“Let’s go, let’s bring your mommy home.” Quentin picked up the two children and walked out…
At twelve o’clock, everything was ready.
The grand lobby of the Maple Hotel became even more lively, with everyone looking forward to what was to come next. The venue gradually quieted down.
On the podium, the emcee held the microphone and shouted, “Now, let’s welcome our bride and groom today.”
The applause thundered.
Frank and Charlotte walked out from backstage side by side.
Charlotte, dressed in a white wedding dress, showcased her beautiful figure perfectly, her skin like jade, her face like a peach blossom, like an angel!
However, there was a hint of coldness on her pretty face.
Even, there was a touch of sadness.
Frank, with a radiant face, walked proudly onto the stage.
He wanted to hold Charlotte’s hand, but she subtly avoided it. Frank’s gaze sank, but he saw a terrifying clarity in Charlotte’s eyes.
In an instant, he felt a sense of foreboding…
“Let me tell you, you better not play any tricks…” he threatened through gritted teeth.
Charlotte remained silent.
Seeing this, the officiant immediately spoke, “Alright, the bride and groom are now on stage. Next, I will recite the wedding vows.”
The officiant looked at Frank and recited, “Mr. Frank Duncan, do you willingly take this woman as your wife? To love her, be faithful to her, in sickness and in health, until… death do you part?”
“I-do-”
Frank gazed affectionately at Charlotte, “I-do.”
The applause thundered.
Many people were cheering.
The officiant nodded in satisfaction, smiling at Charlotte, “Miss Charlotte Pittman, do you willingly marry the man before you? To be faithful to him, in poverty or wealth, in sickness or health, until… death do you part?”
“I-refuse-!”
Charlotte interrupted him directly, the smile on her lips so icy.
The whole venue was in an uproar…
The flowers in her hand were thrown on the ground, crushed underfoot.
The whole venue fell into a deathly silence!
Frank’s eyes widened, his face contorted, his breath hot and heavy.
His expression was as if he wanted to tear Charlotte apart alive!
Russell stood dumbfounded.
The Pittman family’s smiles froze.
The Duncan family was furious beyond measure at this moment.
“Do you have a death wish?” Frank’s grip on the flowers distorted them, and between his teeth, came words as cold as ice!
A shameful humiliation!
