Chapter 208: The Wedding Day

Book:Fallen Heir Rising Published:2024-6-5

After a night, the next day, at Maple Hotel, a four-star hotel owned by the Duncan family.
The crowd was like the sea.
Luxury cars drove into the Maple Hotel area one after another.
In front of the hotel gate, a red carpet was laid out, and the scene was extremely festive.
Today is the wedding day of Frank, the son of the Duncan family.
Although the old-school members of the Duncan family were cleaned out some time ago, the Duncan family could still rank among the top families.
Those who received invitations sent out by the Duncan family all came. Plenty of people came to curry favor shamelessly.
Those who came and went were all the elites and celebrities of Stresall.
However, at the Duncan family’s event, they all changed their usual arrogant attitudes.
The gifts they presented were of considerable value, which greatly prided the Duncan family. It seems that their position in Stresall remains as stable as ever.
The wedding banquet officially began at twelve o’clock.
Luxury cars continued to arrive.
Those who passed by Maple Hotel looked enviously towards the direction of the hotel.
This was the grandeur of a great family!
Not many families in Stresall could afford such an extravagance.
In their entire lives, ordinary people like them never had the chance to witness such scenes.
Thinking of this, they couldn’t help but sigh quietly and leave the area silently.
Meanwhile, inside the hotel, local dignitaries were all drinking and chatting merrily in the VIP area.
They were all part of the same circle, and it was always a good thing to maintain good relations with others.
Russell Pittman and other Pittman family members were also invited and seated in the VIP guest area.
They were flattered by those big families which they didn’t have an opportunity to approach normally.
“You’re too kind!” Russell’s face was proud, but also somewhat surprised by the attention.
In the past, the Pittman family would never be so noticeable.
Emery and Rashad, among others, were sitting there, silent.
When someone came to congratulate them, they all ignored it, as if they hadn’t heard anything, which annoyed Russell a little, “What’s wrong with you, Emery?”
“Today is Mr. Duncan and Charlotte’s big day of happiness, these noble guests are here to congratulate, why are you acting like this? If you keep wearing that stiff face, just get out!” Emery Pittman replied coldly, “If possible, I’d rather not sit here.”
But, his two grandchildren were hostaged to the kidnappers, so they had to come.
Georgia Pittman snorted, her tone sour, “What are you pretending for? Do you really think you’re something just because you’ve climbed onto the Duncan family?”
“Even if Charlotte marries Mr. Duncan, she is just a plaything for Mr. Duncan! Do you still think she’s part of his family?”
She was truly jealous.
“Shut up!” Rashad scolded lowly, “You are good at nothing but keep blabbering, aren’t you ashamed?”
“You-!” Georgia glared, Rashad actually dared to reprimand her!
Russell waved his hand, suppressing his anger, “Alright! Today is a day of great joy, let’s not quarrel! Everyone, quiet down for me!”
Only then did Georgia reluctantly shut her mouth.
Backstage.
Frank, dressed in a suit, walked into the dressing room with a spring in his step. He saw Charlotte sitting there, looking stunned, her face suddenly darkened.
“Why aren’t you ready yet? If anything goes wrong today and you embarrass me, you know what will happen!” he threatened.
Charlotte remained eerily calm. “Don’t worry, I’ve come to terms with it.”
“But…”
“I need to ensure the safety of my two children first. You need to release them first.”
Frank chuckled, then placed his phone with a video in front of her. “Don’t worry, those two brats are living it up. I don’t want to get myself into trouble.”
“As long as I achieve my goal, I won’t trouble them.”
Seeing her two children unharmed in the video, Charlotte breathed a sigh of relief.
“You ask them to release my children now, and I’ll go out with you.”
Frank thought for a moment, seeing her calm demeanor, as if she had resigned herself to it, then nodded. “Alright! I’ll have them release those two guys.”
Watching Frank leave, Charlotte’s eyes slightly lowered. She picked up the eyebrow pencil on the table, smiled sadly, hid it under the wedding dress, and tears silently slid down…
