“You!” Scar snorted, saying, “People die for wealth, birds perish for food! You can’t threaten us. I’m not afraid of death. Don’t expect to get anything out of me!”
Quentin raised an eyebrow, “Really?”
Scar sneered, “I’ve been walking on the edge of death all my life. I’m not afraid of you. I can die anytime!”
Quentin replied lightly, “Isaac John, also known as Scar, was once a key suspect in a kidnapping case but was released due to insufficient evidence.”
“Now you’re married, your wife is pregnant, about to give birth…”
“You…” Scar trembled all over, roaring angrily, “You have investigated me?”
Seeing his expression, Quentin had an idea. This guy’s vulnerability lies with his wife and children.
Quentin’s tone was indifferent, “It’s okay if you don’t want to talk. I’ll just visit your wife when I have time and see if she knows anything.”
“And you, Harley Smith, your mother is seriously ill and needs medical expenses. She’s currently in Stresall Second Central Hospital. If I have time, I’ll pay her a visit too.”
“I like to get to the bottom of things.”
Quentin chuckled lightly, but that smile sent shivers down their spines.
Scar took a deep breath, “In our world, family members should not be involved.”
Quentin’s smile faded, his eyes cold, “Should my two children be involved?”
The three fell silent.
Scar gritted his teeth suddenly, growling lowly, “Kill them.”
As he spoke, he flicked a dagger in his hand, step by step closing in on Quentin and the others.
Eileen flashed, and in the next moment, Scar’s hand was cut off, he was kicked to the ground, his chest shattered, blood spewing from his mouth.
She moved like a ghost, and in no time, the remaining two were also knocked down.
The three felt a chill. This was not even in the same league!
With hands behind his back, Quentin approached them, saying coldly, “I’ll give you three seconds to tell me who’s behind all this.”
“Otherwise, I’ll do what I promised.”
The three trembled in fear. Their families were their last line of defense!
They were also aware that if Quentin could uncover their backgrounds so quickly, he couldn’t be underestimated!
Scar took a deep breath, looking at the man in front of him, “If we tell you who’s behind all this, you won’t trouble our families?”
“I always keep my word,” Quentin’s tone remained indifferent.
“Alright!”
“I’ll talk!”
Scar took a deep breath and said, “This whole thing was orchestrated by Frank Duncan, and there’s a guy named Nikolas Pittman involved too!”
“We were just doing it for the money!”
“That’s all we know. Please finish me!”
Quentin signaled to Eileen, and a glint flashed. Scar’s eyes widened, convulsed a few times, then fell silent.
“Please, spare us. I have elders and youngsters to take care of…”
“When you were committing crimes, did you ever think about your family?” Quentin showed no sympathy, his tone indifferent.
Eileen disposed of the remaining two without expression.
Quentin walked towards the two children, gently patting their heads, “Theo, Janessa, you can open your eyes now.”
The two children slowly opened their eyes, “Daddy, are all the bad people gone?”
“Yes, I took care of them. They were wicked and deserved to die,” Quentin picked them up, one in each arm, saying, “I will take you away from here.”
“Daddy, where’s Mommy?” Theo looked up at Quentin, “Mommy must be worried since she can’t find us. It’s our fault for following a stranger and making Mommy and Daddy worry…”
“Daddy will take you back first. Tomorrow, Daddy will take you to find Mommy.”
There was a cold gleam in his eyes.
Frank, setting a trap to force Charlotte into submission, even daring to have his children kidnapped. This time, he was doomed!
He wouldn’t spare any of those accomplices either.
