Night fell.
Darkness gradually engulfed the land, the outskirts shrouded in complete darkness.
At some point, a vast army silently appeared at the foot of the mountain.
Quentin stood with his hands behind his back at the forefront of the army, Zaid and Chad standing behind him, not daring to even breathe heavily.
“General Quincy, we have pinpointed the exact location of the young master and lady. They are in a dilapidated house on the mountain,” one of them reported.
“However, we couldn’t risk alerting them, so we have to wait until dark to act. These people have a history of violence.”
“We dare not risk the lives of the young master and lady…”
Quentin’s eyes suddenly sharpened, “Give me the location, I’ll go myself.”
Zaid immediately handed a map to Quentin.
“Eileen, let’s go,” Quentin said, disappearing on the spot.
Eileen followed suit.
On the mountain, under the dim light, on top of the decrepit shack, Scar kicked awake the others, “Get up, something feels off.”
He blinked a few times, feeling an unsettling intuition.
“Boss, what’s wrong?”
“Enough talk, immediately keep an eye on those two kids. If anything goes wrong, grab them and use them as hostages!” Scar commanded in a low voice.
Seeing Scar’s seriousness, the others dared not disobey him, quickly rubbing their eyes and standing up, approaching Theo and Janessa.
Theo held his sister tightly in his arms, both looking at the approaching men with fear.
“Don’t be afraid, we won’t hurt you. Just as long as those guys don’t do anything stupid,” one of the approaching men showed a sinister smile, eyes hinting at malice.
They had engaged in violence before.
But unless absolutely necessary, they wouldn’t resort to it.
“Who’s there?”
“Who’s playing tricks?”
A figure suddenly appeared not far in front of them, with deep eyes glinting in the darkness, extremely intimidating.
The men were startled, immediately drawing their knives.
There was a murderous intent in their eyes.
One of them, acting swiftly, moved to grab Theo and Janessa as hostages.
However, in the next moment, the figure was in front of him, eyes locked onto him with an indescribable fierceness.
“Daddy!”
Seeing Quentin, the two children excitedly shouted, “I knew Daddy would come to save us!”
“Brother, Daddy really came!”
Quentin glanced at the two children, “Theo, Janessa, close your eyes.”
The two immediately closed their eyes obediently.
The thug, although surprised by Quentin’s speed, had no choice but to act. With his knife raised, he lunged forward!
“Die!”
Quentin raised his hand, gripping the thug’s wrist, breaking it on the spot. The knife fell into Quentin’s hand with a splatter…
Blood gushed from the man’s throat as he collapsed, clutching it weakly, and fell to the ground…
“Kill him!”
Scar’s face twitched, his eyes fierce as he roared angrily.
Another figure appeared, Eileen’s agile figure darted out from the darkness, a cold light flashed, and another figure screamed and fell to the ground…
The remaining two or three men swallowed hard, trembling with fear.
With his hands behind his back, Quentin’s voice was as cold as ice, “I’ll give you a chance. Tell me the whole story of kidnapping my children! Be honest, and perhaps… I might leave your corpses intact!”
