Captain Keegan was immediately shaken to the core.
The figure mentioned, he naturally knew exactly who it referred to! As for the four legendary warlords under that famous figure, they also held great reputations!
But someone as prominent as Phoenix, how could she suddenly descend upon this place?
This left him completely puzzled.
However, this was not something a mere captain like him could dwell on.
“Let’s go-”
Captain Keegan turned back to glare at Quentin, “Consider yourself lucky, I’ll teach you a good lesson when I return.”
Outside the patrol station.
At the main gate.
Black figures stood tall and stern on either side of the entrance, all with solemn expressions, in a defensive stance.
The Chief Inspector stood eagerly in the center, seemingly awaiting someone’s arrival.
Captain Keegan hurried over, not even daring to catch his breath, and obediently joined the lineup.
Finally, an ordinary commercial van slowly entered their field of vision, coming to a stop in front of the patrol station.
A tall figure stepped out from the vehicle, with a shoulder-length haircut exuding a confident air, clad in a tight black outfit that added a touch of coldness to her demeanor.
With a sharp gaze from Eileen, the patrol officers all felt a sense of pressure wash over them.
Phoenix!
One of the four warlords under General Quincy!
And the only female warlord at that!
Having achieved remarkable feats under General Quincy, she held a high position and great respect within the military! To them, in the presence of this woman, they were nothing.
Upon seeing the newcomer, Inspector Wade stepped forward, solemnly saluting, “Inspector Wade pays his respects to Lady Phoenix!”
“Paying respects to Lady Phoenix-”
Everyone bowed in unison, voices harmonized, exuding a powerful aura!
Eileen’s face remained aloof as she waved her hand dismissively, “Just skip the formality.”
Wade respectfully inquired, “Lady Phoenix, what brings you to this place? If there’s anything where we can be of assistance, rest assured, we will lend our full support.”
“I have come today for one thing only: to bring someone out.”
At her words, everyone present exchanged bewildered looks, wondering about the identity of the person worthy of Phoenix’s personal escort.
With caution, Wade asked, “Lady Phoenix, who is it that you are looking for?”
She replied calmly, “My master.”
Those two words caused a moment of tremor in the bodies of everyone present, making them feel weak in the legs…
Phoenix’s master…
Wasn’t that the legendary figure?
Could it be that this figure had been imprudently kept locked up here by someone reckless?
Sweat poured down Wade’s forehead as he cursed inwardly at the fool who had brought such a calamity upon him. He feared the worst this time.
Under the heavens, who would dare to imprison General Quincy?
Wasn’t that seeking death?
For some unknown reason, Captain Keegan’s heart trembled suddenly…
Eileen’s clear eyes shifted, “Who is Captain Keegan?”
Captain Keegan immediately stepped forward with trembling legs, and stammered, “Lady Phoenix, I-I am… What do you need me for, Lady?”
Eileen raised her hand and delivered a slap, leaving his cheek swollen and a trickle of blood flowing from the corner of his mouth.
“Quite audacious! You dared to do something that even the whole country wouldn’t dare to do.” Eileen sneered, “Who gave you the courage?”
With just those words, Captain Keegan felt a surge of heat between his legs… his only thought was he was doomed.
Quentin was the legend – Quincy Holland!
His lips turned pale, his hands shook uncontrollably, realizing he might not even be able to save his own hide this time.
“Lead the way!” Eileen stared icily at him and kicked him.
If he were placed in Adrakmore, he would probably have been torn apart by the barbarians long ago. How could he have survived until now? Daring to even capture General Quincy, tired of living?
Captain Keegan, legs trembling, led the way ahead, while the others looked at him with pity.
What a streak of misfortune one must have to land at the wrong end of the barrel like this?
A minute or two later, Captain Keegan nervously unlocked the iron gate, and the defiantly tall figure reappeared in his field of vision.
Only this time, his eyes were filled solely with endless reverence and fear…
