The next day I went mentally early again to watch out for Draco and the helpful lawyer in Damon’s case. At seven in the morning, I was already outside, standing and waiting for Draco to arrive.
I took a deep breath and then drank the hot coffee I bought at the store near here mentally, I looked around again. I waited for them for more than half a minute, Draco didn’t say what time he was going but I was sure he would come.
“Ma’am, are you waiting for something?” I looked at my older guard who suddenly appeared behind me, I nodded in response.
“Just wait in the waiting shed, you can still sit there.” He said but I shook my head.
“I’m okay here my guard, maybe what I’m waiting for won’t see me,” I said, he nodded.
“All right ma’am, as long as you sing, just wait, just sit there first.” He said so I nodded and sipped the coffee I was holding again.
I’m not sure if I should go to Damon first while Draco is away or later, I think because Damon is still asleep at times like this, I don’t want to disturb him and wake up just so I can talk to someone while waiting for Draco.
Gazer and Havacco, on the other hand, will come here later around 9 AM, they said they still have work to do.
“Erelah.” I looked at the person who called my name and smiled when I saw Draco just getting out of his car, followed by a woman in white and formal attire, she was about the same age as Draco.
“Good morning.” Bati ko.
“Good morning, have you been here before?” He asked, I shook my head and then smiled.
“Okay, anyways he’s the one I’m telling you to help your friend.” He said then pointed to the woman next to him.
“Mielda Afuertez.” The woman introduced herself and then held out her hand in front of me, I immediately wiped my hand on my clothes and then accepted her handshake.
“Erelah.” I introduced myself and then smiled at him.
“My friend is inside,” I said when I lowered my hand, they both nodded, and then Mielda walked first.
Draco followed so I started walking, I first threw away the cup of coffee I was holding and then followed them inside. When I entered, I saw Mielda talking to someone at the front desk.
I slowly approached them and then listened to the conversation.
“Do you have a patient here?” The man at the front desk asked, Mielda nodded while smiling.
“Nope, someone is just helping.” He replied.
“Ohhh, I see. Anyways your time is gone ah, are you a lawyer yet?” The man asked Mielda, so does that mean Mielda used to work here? Very good.
“Oum.” Mielda gave a short answer before looking at the man’s papers that had just landed in front of her.
I glanced at those papers and saw Damon’s papers, I turned to Draco next to me.
“How much will I pay just in case?” I asked him, Draco just laughed and then shook his head.
“Naah, I’ll take care of everything.” He said so my lips felt pity.
“What? I can’t, I have to–”
“It’s my help, think of it as a replacement for the help you gave me before.” He said so I smiled.
“Embarrassing, but thank you,” I said so he smiled.
“Let’s go.” We looked at Mielda as she spoke, she was holding Damon’s papers.
“I want to talk to your friend.” He said while smiling at me, I nodded and then followed them on foot, a helper guided us to go to the visitor’s area.
We quietly waited for Damon, a few minutes later I noticed the helper running towards a guard who was guarding near us, I frowned because he was Damon’s helper.
“Brother what the–” I didn’t finish what I was about to say when I looked in the direction where the helper came from, from the middle of the hallway Damon was standing while holding a gun and it was pointed at his head.
“Damon!” I shouted and was about to approach him when the guards stopped me.
“Damon, put that down!” I shouted and struggled with those who were holding me back.
“Damon heck!” Damon looked at my behavior, I saw the change in his eyes, he was stunned as he looked at me.
My tears continued to flow as I struggled with the helpers who were holding me. They keep me from going to Damon.
“Damon … Put that down, please.” Crying I told him, I saw him swallow his saliva while looking at me.
“Erelah.” He said softly then slowly lowered the gun he was holding. He dropped it on the floor then kicked the gun closer to the guard, he raised his hand in the air and then looked at me again.
“Damon …” I cried calling his name.
“Sorry.” That’s all that came out of his mouth before some helpers approached him, they handcuffed Damon’s hand something that annoyed me, I immediately let go of those holding me then ran closer to Damon to hug him.
“What are you doing,” I asked tearfully as I hugged him. “What are you thinking Damon? Do you want to die?” I asked annoyed as I hugged him.
“Sorry.” That’s all he said.
“You’re annoying, why would you want to get lost? Damon, you promised me you’ll keep your promise to get out of here.” I said crying then looked at him.
“I hope you’ll keep it, Damon, I’m confident you’ll keep it,” I said, he wiped the tears dripping down my cheek even though he was handcuffed. He smiled at me, a sad smile.
“I’m sorry, but I don’t know if I’ll keep my promise or not.” He said while staring into my eyes, I shook then hugged him again.
“You’re not going to leave me are you?” I asked, he didn’t answer, instead, he just took a deep breath.
I let go of the hug and then looked at him.
“Please take me to my room, whoever wants to talk to me please stay with him in the room.” He said to the helper next to him then started walking, as if my heart was broken as I watched him walk away.
“Chai …” I slowly looked at the person next to me, Draco, he mentioned the name of the host on Damon’s body.
He also watched Damon walk away.
“Do you know the host?” I asked, causing Draco to look at me.
