“Oh my god! There are two of them! How did you get them?”
Charlotte’s face turned red, unable to conceal her excitement in her beautiful eyes.
Quentin smiled lightly, “Of course, I asked the boss for them.”
Charlotte rolled her eyes at him and said, “You never stop bragging. You should know that the boss behind Sloburg Kindergarten is a prominent figure in our Stresall, well-connected and influential. You’re no longer the heir of the wealthy Holland family, so how can he make time to meet you?”
Quentin smiled and remained silent.
“But it’s still impressive that you were able to get them. Now we finally have the assurance for Janessa and Theo’s enrollment. That’s great!”
“Does this count as a surprise?” Quentin grinned at her.
Charlotte suddenly thought of something and shyly lowered her head. “No, it doesn’t.”
“Really, it doesn’t?”
“No.” Charlotte turned her pretty face away.
Quentin sighed with a hint of disappointment.
A few seconds later, a soft and shy voice sounded. “Y-You, close your eyes.”
Quentin chuckled and obediently closed his eyes.
In the next moment, he felt a gentle kiss on his face…
“Okay, you can open your eyes now!”
Charlotte was too shy to even lift her head to meet Quentin’s gaze. The car was filled with a romantic atmosphere…
Quentin didn’t tease her and simply held her small hand silently, feeling the warmth in each other’s palms.
Eileen dared not look back.
She sighed inwardly, feeling lonely in front of this affectionate couple…
“Tomorrow, let’s send our two children to school,” Charlotte said. “Sloburg Kindergarten can provide them with a better education.”
“Alright, I’ll follow your lead.”
“Oh,” Charlotte sighed softly. “The Night City opening ceremony is also a big trouble for me. Nikolas and Uncle Maverick have obtained their admission cards.”
“Currently, I don’t even have the qualification to enter.”
“I heard that this grand feast will be attended by the top four richest families, numerous financial conglomerates, and countless second and third-rate forces. It’s a great opportunity to broaden our horizons.”
“Even our Stresall City Lord will personally attend.”
“I’ve recently taken up the position of director in the company, and I don’t want to be overshadowed by them.”
A hint of unwillingness flashed in Charlotte’s eyes. What she wanted to fight for was her pride.
“Don’t worry, maybe someone will soon send you an invitation,” Quentin smiled and reassured her.
Charlotte sighed softly, “It’s not as simple as you make it sound. The Night City is a major project supported by the authorities. Why would they send an invitation to a nobody like me?”
“Even the Pittman family had to pull a lot of strings to get those two admission cards. Ordinary people don’t stand a chance.”
A tinge of desolation appeared in Charlotte’s eyes.
Where would she get such an opportunity?
“It will happen,” Quentin said with a smile. Wasn’t this a matter that could be solved with just a few words from him?
“Go back and spend some time with the two children. We’ll send them to school tomorrow. Don’t worry about other things.”
“Okay… okay,” Charlotte nodded.
After seeing Charlotte off downstairs and watching her ascend the stairs, Quentin’s eyes flickered. He slowly dialed a phone number.
“Hello, Mr. Holland, what instructions do you have for me? I’ll do whatever you ask.” On the other end, Lord Zaid’s voice, filled with utmost deference, came through.
