“Don’t worry, I won’t embarrass you,” Quentin said calmly.
“You…” Charlotte sighed, too frustrated to speak.
“Hahaha,” Parker laughed.
Anna doubled over, clutching her stomach from laughter.
“You?”
“Just you?”
“Hey, buddy, can you even afford any of the bags here? Not to mention the most expensive one, you can’t even afford the cheapest one, can you?”
“Quentin, it’s not that I look down on you, but if you really can afford it, I’ll call you brother today!”
“That’s what you said!” Quentin gave him a sly look.
“I said it!” Parker affirmed.
“Are you sure you want to buy the most expensive bag in our store?” The saleswoman looked skeptical.
But more than that, there was disdain in her eyes.
After hearing the remarks from others, she was convinced that this guy was just a pauper, so she didn’t take Quentin seriously.
“The most expensive bag in our store, I’m afraid you can’t afford it.”
“At least a seven-figure starting price.”
“Look at the way you’re dressed…”
She sneered.
She stopped talking.
But the contempt in her tone was obvious.
“Is this how you do business?” Quentin frowned.
“It depends on the type of customer we’re dealing with,” the saleswoman said arrogantly.
Quentin ignored her, “Does anyone else want to do business with me?”
Other salespeople were eager to, but they were afraid of being embarrassed.
What if this poor guy was just messing with them?
“Alright, since you don’t want my business, I’ll check out the store across the street.” Quentin gave Charlotte a deep look. “Wait for me.”
He strode out confidently.
“Hahaha, this guy wouldn’t really leave, would he?” Parker chuckled heartily.
“Still pretending? Disgusting,” Anna sneered, “Charlotte, can you really trust a man like this? Find someone else!”
Other salespeople laughed too; they had come across many insincere people like him before.
Luckily, they hadn’t believed him!
Charlotte’s face burned…
Quentin was great in many ways, but he just loved to boast and pretend too much!
Now she felt so embarrassed…
“What’s going on?” a middle-aged man came out from the back, “So noisy.”
“Manager, just now, a guy said he wanted to buy the bags in our store, but he had no money, so he ran away after failing to show off,” the saleswoman who had mocked Quentin before said with a smile.
“Why bother with such trash?” the manager sneered.
“Charlotte, just you wait!” Anna sneered coldly, “Let’s see how he handles it when he comes out later!”
She had just finished speaking when Quentin emerged from the store across the street, accompanied by Eileen.
A large group of people followed him, bowing and smiling all around them!
Quentin still held a burlap sack.
“Hahaha… what a country bumpkin!” Anna crossed her arms and laughed heartily.
“Damn, this is hilarious! Did you go into their store and pick up a bag of trash?” Parker laughed loudly.
The manager and many salespeople also laughed, eagerly anticipating the spectacle.
At that moment, Charlotte’s face wasn’t looking good. How could this guy be so stubborn?
Did he have to embarrass her so much for his own satisfaction?
A surge of bitterness rose in her heart.
“Charlotte, I’ve brought the bags back for you,” Quentin said with a meaningful smile.
“Let’s go, let’s not embarrass ourselves here any longer,” Charlotte said, quickly grabbing his arm.
“Don’t go! Charlotte, let us see what Mr. Holland bought!”
“Is it junk or second-hand? Let us have a look!”
She deliberately lunged forward, tearing the burlap sack, and in an instant, a bunch of brand new bags spilled out from the sack.
