“You?”
“And you think you’re worthy?”
Nikolas sneered coldly.
“What do you have to compete with me? When you go to the Spicurity Group, they won’t even bother to talk to you!”
“That’s right, you’re overestimating yourself!” Georgia added with disdain.
Brian chuckled and said, “So many people are vying for this project, what are you even? It’s never your turn!”
Charlotte let out a sigh. She knew winning this project would be difficult, but she really wanted a chance, since she wanted to give her two children a better environment.
Theo and Janessa’s current kindergarten was just average.
It bothered her.
On the other hand, Sloburg Kindergarten was the best in the city, with the most qualified teachers and the most advanced educational concepts and environment.
It would greatly benefit the growth of her two children!
That’s why she had lowered her pride and made this request.
“I-I want to give it a try, Grandfather. Please give me this opportunity.” Charlotte pleaded almost desperately.
Russell fell silent for a moment because he knew that even with Nikolas involved, the Pittman family wouldn’t have much advantage in this competition, given their size.
A $50 million project! How many people were eyeing this “juicy piece of meat”?
The odds were against the Pittman family!
And Charlotte had her uses, at least in terms of her appearance.
This project was important for the Pittman family. Having one more person involved meant an extra chance of success.
“Alright, since you want to try, go ahead and give it a shot,” Russell nodded.
“But don’t expect to gain any benefits from the Pittman family. I’m just giving you a chance to redeem yourself.”
Quentin was disgusted by these shameless words…
Could this guy be any more nauseating?
It was clear that the Pittman family was at fault for what they had done to Charlotte. Why did they now portray themselves as victims? It was sickening!
“Grandfather!” Nikolas expressed his displeasure.
“I have made up my mind,” Russell said calmly. “This project is important for the Pittman family, so having one more person try won’t hurt.”
“But…,” Emery and Georgia were both angry, and their eyes glared at Charlotte with disgust, as if she had stolen something from them.
“Charlotte, what you’re doing is humiliating yourself!” Nikolas gritted his teeth.
“Don’t overestimate yourself!” Georgia sneered. “You can’t possibly succeed against us!”
Quentin smiled lightly and said, “What if… she actually succeeds?”
“Well…” They were at a loss for words.
“In that case, if she fails, I’ll kneel down and apologize to you all. But if she succeeds, give us the spots at Sloburg Kindergarten. Are you willing to bet?”
Nikolas was stunned.
“What’s wrong? Afraid? Where did your confidence from earlier go?” Quentin’s mockery made Nikolas extremely angry. He clenched his teeth and said, “Alright, I’ll bet with you! Just wait until the day you kneel down and apologize!”
“You…” Charlotte looked at Quentin in astonishment. Even she wasn’t certain of her success, so how dare he make such a bold bet!
“Don’t worry!” Quentin smiled lightly. “You’ll succeed! Believe in yourself!” Who was in charge of the Spicurity Group’s collaboration? It was him, right?
“Hehe, I’ll be waiting for that day when you kneel down. A worthless dog like you dares to act arrogantly in our Pittman family,” Nikolas sneered.
“Alright, it’s settled!” Russell said coldly. “Go back and prepare your proposals!”
“Okay, Grandfather, we’ll go back.” Charlotte nodded solemnly. For the sake of her two children and Quentin’s dignity, she had to win this battle!
