Feast On Me

Book:The Devil's Possession Published:2024-6-5

Lucas… the name of the man that permanently lives in my every nightmare. I know only an idiot would just assume that out of the millions of people with that particular name, they were specifically speaking about the Lucas I know of… but I couldn’t resist caving in to fear despite the low possibility, the kind of raw fear that only Lucas can ever draw into being.
With molded lips and trembling hands, I reached for the mug that Kasan had laid in front of me not too long ago and took a slow sip of the black coffee. The strong heat had already seeped into the mug and wasn’t going to wane anytime soon, but I didn’t flinch nor wince at the pain that scorched my palms. Simply put, my mind was too caught up to even register such trivialities.
“What’s up with you? You’ve been out of it for a while.” Kasan piped up, right fist on his cheek as he stared intently at me.
I didn’t answer to his worries, in fact, I could barely even find it in me to breath. In years, I have never succumbed to my one sole weakness up until now. I’ve been doing so remarkably well after what happened and now suddenly, everything comes crumbling to bits. And once again, I’m then left alone to face my terrorizing memories that no one even know of.
My mom, my dad, my close relatives… they all know not to talk about him nor even mention his name in my hearing, but no one knew the exact nor full reason. I alone know what he has done, I alone know what he really is…
“Clara!” The feel of Kasan shaking my shoulder forced me to finally look his way. And somehow, just one glance at his worried obsidian eyes made my terror lessen considerably.
“Seriously… What’s up with you?”
I settled the mug on the glass table and slowly shifted on couch so I was facing him. After Nate had relayed the news to him at the training ground, Kasan hurriedly brought me back inside and immediately set out for his visit to the person they called ‘Lucas’. It took a bit over a day for him to finally return and now, here we are… him trying to figure out what the hell is up with me… and me trying to prevent myself from falling into the clutches of a terrible panic attack.
“Who’s L-Lucas?” I asked. The dread seeping into my veins caused my words to leave hesitantly from my lips.
Bewilderment settled over his face like a dark abounding cloud. “Why?” He looked alot different than his usual cocky self for a change. It’s soothing to know that he actually does worry about me.
“N-Nothing.” I shook my head and nervously ran the tip of my tongue over my lips. His eyes urged me to just sprout everything out in one go, but I can’t… not to someone who is most definitely my enemy… or atleast he should be.
“I’ve heard the name before is all.”
Kasan’s confusion remained on his face, but perhaps, it was my obvious desperation that coerced him to answer me nonetheless. “He’s one of my men.” He replied with a sigh. “He was wounded during a gunfight and became comatose. As you already heard, he finally woke up yesterday.”
I absorbed his words slowly and swallowed when dangerous possibilities circled my mind. In a coma?
It couldn’t be…
I tucked my trembling fingers under the table. I knew it wasn’t good to expose my weakness to him, but my body won’t work with me…. as always. No matter how much I told myself that I was getting this all wrong, I still couldn’t stop myself from wanting to cower away from this whole conversation. That way, I wouldn’t be able to face the truth…. whatever it turns out to be.
“H-How long…” I sat forward in my seat and looked up at him, the vulnerability in my voice and expression was as clear as day, but I didn’t care. I need to know… I have to know.
Swallowing the knot in my throat, I opened my mouth to speak once again. “How l-long has he been in a coma?”
Kasan removing his hand from his cheek and sat up properly, continuing to study me with his scrutinizing gaze. “Three years.”
“T-Three years?”
I felt my heart finally settle beneath my chest and my fingers that shook rapidly below the table slowed until they remained completely still. A small, unnoticeable smile grew on my lips as relief washed over me…
“You made me worry over nothing,” I scowled, relaxing back against the couch with my faced turned up towards the ceiling.
“It’s the other way around.” He corrected flatly. “You looked paler than a ghost…. and now it looks like a light bulb just switched on inside you.”
“I thought you were talking about a prick I met back in highschool. He has alot of my secrets underwraps so it’d be hell if you guys actually knew each other.” I lied through my teeth once again. However, the complete silence that followed my words, had me getting the idea that Kasan didn’t buy a word of that. But my pride wouldn’t ever allow me to tell him that I was behaving senselessly over just the mention of that name…. so I promptly changed the subject.
“Anyway, I need some more coffee.” While fixing the auburn strands atop my head, I sluggishly gestured with my hand for him to run along. “Go get it.”
“Are you cripple?”
Well that’s a first.
I’m honestly shook.
Running an hand over my face, I rose my head off the couch and looked over at him incredulously. “So much for trying to impress me…” I glared at him. “You men never stick by your words.”
“And you do?” He fired back. “… The loser does whatever the winner wants, remember? It’s either you forgot…” I stiffened in place while he grinned. “… or you just brought up a whole new matter to avoid the penalty. I think it’s the latter.”
Ah crap!
Our game! How the fuck did I even manage to forget? This is probably the first time my boasting ever backfires. And yeah, I feel like total shit.
“H-Huh?” My gaze embarrassedly redirected to the floor while his own annoyingly devoured my whole being. Honestly, if I had recalled, I would’ve locked the room shut and wallowed in self pity like I should. I still can’t believe I disgraced myself like that. First time losing a shooting match definitely hits differently.
How the hell did he even pull that off?
I mean, I’m a pro! Everybody knows that. There was not a single person who could even come close to my shooting skills… up until now.
Frankly, this is more of a reason to hate his ass.
“We made a deal so…” I began to squeeze through clenched teeth, abruptly standing to my feet and drifting my eyes back over to him. I should just get it over with already. This whole thing is already making me bitter. I might just smack the shit out of him to make myself feel better.
“Hurry up and tell me what you want me to do. And just so you know, this offer doesn’t last more than twenty four hours.”
Though I felt like crap, I tried to look as poised and unbothered as possible, but to my dismay, Kasan’s grin only grew at every word I sprouted. Maybe I should just dissolve to goo?
… Or shoot his stupid ass!
“On second thought, you have less than ten seconds remaining. Talk fast or the deal is off.” I sent him a half-assed scowl.
“You need not be so worried, princess.” He assured, the grin on his lips taunting me more and more the broader it got. He definitely knows that I was shaking like a leaf inside.
“It’s nothing hard, I promise.” Slapping his palms against his thigh, he rose from his seat and glided his hand across the couch as he walked predaceously around it.
This is it… the moment where I’m in desperate need of a distraction.
Nate! WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU!?
“You do know that you were just sitting in front of me right?” I tried to speak smoothly. “If you think walking all the way around the couch is sexy, then I’m sorry to say that–”
“Instead of coffee…” he started off with a suggestive tone, so low and husky that I almost lost my footing. “… how about we feast on something else?”
I immediately found myself gulping. Oh fuck. Not this approach again.
Licking his luscious lips, Kasan stopped before me, his right hand reaching out for my hip while the other went and made contact with the barely exposed skin right above my navel. And then, he glided his index finger upwards, it’s feather like touch causing shivers to wrack through me as my crop top slid further up. “What do you say? Will you let me?” He grinned down at me, the kind of grin that screamed ‘I know you want me’.
“Although… you don’t really have a choice, a deal is a deal. Ain’t it?”
I would disagree… I seriously would but he is completely right. A deal is a deal. If this is what he wants then so be it. Besides, I’d let him swallow me whole any d-
Wait… what am I even saying? Stop it, Clara. Will you go crazy every time he tries to seduce you? Have a little restraint, will you?! RESTRAINT! You’re becoming a goddamn slut!
But frankly, I would fail to put up a good fight even under different conditions. He was a master at messing with both my head and my body. I doubt that resisting him would even last long. While he seemed to have no self restraint at all… mine was basically a very thin thread.
“Let’s see…” he gave me a sexy once over. “How should I take you?” I stood completely still when he finally pushed my top over my head then proceeded to walk around me, his eyes savouring every bit of my half exposed body… Of course, lingering on my ass for a bit longer than necessary.
“Should I just shove my cock down your throat?” Out of nowhere, his hands found my breasts, cupping and kneading the soft chunks of flesh from behind as his face drew close to my neck. I bit my lip, shivering once again when his breath fanned me sensuously.
Too much of this sexiness… could actually be lethal. Seriously.
“Should I… fuck you senseless?” He pulled me impossibly closer by the waist so his clothed semi-hard dick was settled between my ass cheeks. Sucking in a breath, I clenched my eyes close and seeked instant support against his rock hard chest as he began to grind himself up against me through his pants, his heavy breathing sexily skimming over my ear. His dick grew against my ass and likewise, I myself fell deeper and deeper into the clutches of flaming desire.
“… Or… should I let my tongue taste every inch of your body?” Said tongue left his mouth for a brief second, gliding over my earlobe before retracting as quick as it came.
If every word leaving his lips were meant to destroy my fucking mind, then he pretty much succeeded at his very first sentence. My mouth was close to watering on spot.
Just feast on me already!
Did I tell him exactly that out loud?
Nope.
Not because I didn’t want to, but because he suddenly ceased his grinding against my ass and stepped away from me. My eyes instantly snapped open and I turned to look up at his apologetic face in annoyance.
He laughed, his heavy hand dropping atop my head and ruffling my hair. “Sorry Princess, but I think we have company.”
I scowled. I felt absolutely immature while standing there huffing like a child, but nonetheless a blush descended over my cheeks. He’s annoying and all, but I gotta admit that it’s actually nice to be the center of his attention. Atleast it seems like I have one guy who isn’t solely interested in my body nor sex.
Though, all that aside, I’d really appreciate it if we could get back down to business. He can’t seriously be planning on lighting me afire then leaving me to burn to death like last time? No. Nope. Not again.
Tipping up on my toes, I moved to connect his soft lips with mine, but the dickhead only shifted his face away while displaying a frustratingly pleased smile. I followed every movement he made, hunting his lips until the tip of my toes began to burn. When I finally decided to accept his rejection and settle my feet back on the floor, I slapped his chest with a glare.
“What the hell is wrong with you?”
“We have company.” He repeated. He looked down at me as if his announcement was that big of a deal… when honestly, it wasn’t. Whosoever it was, should know when to turn the fuck around and return to wherever the hell they’re coming from.
“You might want to put this on hold. I’m trying to be a gentlema–”
As soon as he let his guard down, I grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him downwards. And once his face was at my level, I swept in for a juicy kiss.
… but did I get to kiss him?

…. Not even close.
“Ahem.”
Upon the clearing of a throat, I shoved Kasan as far away from me as possible and quickly shuffled over to the opposite side of the room with bulging eyes… not because I cared one shit about the sound nor the abrupt disturbance, but because of the familiar figures that simultaneously entered my peripheral vision.
“Mom?!… Dad?!”
