Chapter 78

Book:Daddy Zane Published:2024-6-5

***LONDON’S POV***
Oh My God! Oh My fucking God, this house was massive.
I can’t even wrap my head around the fact that I was in Italy, and now, I was at the Vincenzos chapter.
Their women, look ready to kill. As the ladies push me towards the kitchen, I see a petite blonde, her hair fairer than it could be possible.
When she noticed me, a huge smile spread across her face.
“London? Or you are awake,” she greets warmly as she walks towards me, wrapping her arms around my shoulders, and kissing my cheeks.
I squeeze back warmly, not knowing how else I am supposed to react.
“Nice to meet you, Casey,” I mutter.

For the next hour, I enjoyed my time with the girls, Mia, Casey, and Cecily. They made sure I was fed, and the pasta they served me was the chef’s kiss, tasty, and the cheese… I wanted more at the end of it.
“We need to stay as busy as possible, ladies, I believe the men will have more than an hour of meeting. I suggest we go clubbing,” Mia suggests.
I stare at her, my eyes bulging at her.
“Your men… Uhm… Your men wouldn’t disagree with that?” I ask fear rising through my voice.
They all chuckle, shaking their heads in disagreement.
“No, London. The men would be glad to know that we are having fun while they take care of business, but we have to be careful now, don’t we?” Casey asks her eyes traveling from one woman to the other.
I watch how they seem to understand what is going on and they nod their heads together.
Back at home, Zane wouldn’t even want to hear me say it, hmm! He would burn my bottom red. Maybe this visit was a much-needed one.
A small smile covers my lips as they move us from the living space where we are chilling to the outside.
Since I didn’t have a car, I watched how the latest jeeps were rolled out of the garage and Cecily opted to take me with her. I was grateful as I slid into her black shining jeep.
“Where are our husbands holding the meeting?” I ask looking at the others follow behind us.
They had no security, or care that they might be in danger, they all just seemed happy… Free.
Is this what being married to a Vincenzo feels like? My thoughts were broken when Cecily’s words cut through my ears.
“I don’t know anything about business when it has to do with this family, our men don’t tell us anything. Something about the less we knew, the more safe and protected it was to our lives,” she explains.
I gaped, I knew the man I married was shitty, but he just keeps giving me reasons to fear him more.
“Anything you know and you want to spill?” I ask hopefully.
I watch my new friend bite her tongue as her fingers curl around the steering wheel, she seems to have control over herself, and I wonder how much she thought was enough information to share with me.
“It’s okay if you don’t want to open up to me, Cecily, I understand. I wouldn’t utter a word to a stranger as well if I just met her only an hour ago,” I told her, tapping my hand lazily at the corners of the car, staring outside.
We had pulled out onto a main road and traffic was light on this lane, nothing too bad for a first time in this place.
When I thought Cecily wouldn’t cave in, she surprised me with her words.
“All I can tell you is that our men are into dark activities,” she mutters.
“Like human trafficking?” my voice is very small as I ask the question.
Cecily looks very shocked as she shakes her head violently.
“Fuck, London, that is too illegal. I can’t tell you anything, London, because I know nothing. Besides, Rio Monteleo will punish me if he heard I spoke about his business, even if it was a hint,” she lets out.
My heart was pumping in my chest at that name. I had heard it somewhere. And then, as if my brain was helping me by supplying the response I needed, I knew who he was.
Rio was Zane’s business partner. The morning he had beat me for eavesdropping on him, he was having a conversation with him. I hadn’t thought much about that.
“You man beats you too?” I inquire, my voice shaking.
Cecily makes a very embarrassed sound.
“Don’t all of our men? They are sick when they want to be, and love the most as well. Besides, he punishes me, he doesn’t. Even Mia and Casey get punished by her men as well. It’s always lovely when we sit to talk about it,” Cecily mouths out.
My eyes widened in shock at those words, I wasn’t the only one then that was on Zane’s list of publishers, he does that to everyone.
The mere thought of it makes me hide a smile.
“Call me sick, but I want to hear all of those sick ass stories,” I blurt out.
We burst out giggling, and I stare out as my new friend pulls into one of the parking lots, the others following closely behind.
As we exit the cars, I watch Cecily turn to the girls and break out the news of what we just discussed.
“Fuck yeah! I knew Zane wouldn’t pick anyone different from us. London, you are now part of the group and yes, we will share our crazy stories with you. But first, we club until we can’t see clearly, okay?” Casey asks.
I stop them suddenly.
“What will we say was her idea then? I bet we four are all getting into trouble for being too much problem to our men,” the words leave my lips as we all giggle.
“Of course, we are that bad, but we don’t need to pick one person out when we all will be having fun, will we?” Mia questions, winking at me.
Laughing, I follow them inside the already busy club.
