Chapter 77

Book:Daddy Zane Published:2024-6-5

***LONDON’S POV***
The feeling of going back to the house made me feel good, but when Zane headed towards the airport and I saw the private jet waiting for us at the end, I looked at him, shock evident on my face.
“The honeymoon isn’t over, Zane, and I was enjoying Montana,” I tell him smoothly.
“I know right, but I think a change in air will make you feel good. Besides, you have a prominent threat here in Montana. It is about time we left,” he explains.
I think about the incident with Michael Logan, and also, the cyberpunk that wanted a piece of me. I cringe at my nose, still looking at Zane.
He moves his hand to my thigh, his left hand on the steering. He squeezes me gently, letting me know that he is here, and I appreciate that a lot. It makes me feel warm.
“Zane!” I call out to him.
“Yes, Love,” he replies.
Zane calling me the most seductive pet names makes me blush because I know that he means it more than anything. Whatever comes out of his mouth is the truth, and the law is just the same.
“What will happen to our dog, Fox? I was getting used to him,” he blurts out frowning.
I feel Zane tense beside me before the whole o. Zane’s body twists to my side, his eyes boring into mine, a spike of anger coursing through it.
“You met the dog without my permission and you freaking gave it alcohol. Where you planning to get me killed?” he demands and my eyes bulge at the gravity of my sins.
“You weren’t at home, Zane, that shouldn’t even count as breaking the rules,” I mouth out.
“Unless you are the Daddy in this relationship, then, I will listen to you, but, in case you have forgotten, little girl, I am the Dominant,” he barks out.
Zane pulls the car into the parking lot and fear courses through me as I wait for him to lash out at me.
When I hesitate to speak, Zane continues.
“I am going to register it that you owe me a spanking because you disobeyed my orders, also, that aside, you aren’t supposed to leave my sight. That brings us to the fact that I gave Fox to his agency. Fox will be safer there, than at the cabin where no one can provide for it,” he explains.
It makes sense, but I will still miss the bound dog. Zane notices the frown on my forehead and asks,
“Why the creases, angel? I hate seeing you sad,” he mutters.
I reflect on what I want to say, then, I settle on the fact that I don’t want to lie to him, there is no point in doing that.
“I have always loved dogs. I think I have a weakness in them. Michael has a dog, its name is, Jase. I would give anything to pet his head just one more time,” I blurt out the words.
Zane bobs his head knowingly.
“No more talks about Michael and his bloody dog when you are around me, and I don’t care if you have a thing for pets or not,” he barks out.
I don’t tell Zane I have an allergy to those fur babies though, I just roll my eyes and go to open the door, and Zane stops me rushing out of the car to do it himself.
We check out and before I know it, we are heading to Zane’s flight, my face lights up with happiness.
“Where are we going to go?” I ask when we sit and the curtains give way to a wonderful view.
“Sicily, honey. It is about time you visited my home,” he lets out.
I gasp, shock evident on my face. Zane was taking me to Italy? It felt like a dream, I loved the adventure, and the fact that I was doing it with him made me smile.
“But, I have been a bad girl, Daddy, I don’t deserve it,”
Zane chuckles and shaking his head, he caresses my thigh, making me feel comfortable with the move.
“That’s okay, London, being bad always got you into trouble, but you are going to be a good girl for Daddy, huh?” his eyes flashed with something dangerous.
I use my common sense to answer the question.
“Yes, Zane,” the words slip out of my mouth.
“Good girl!” he brushes a small kiss on my lips and I reciprocate it.
“Do you think this is what I need? To go to Italy with you?” the demand, my eyes flashing on him.
“Of course,” he blurts out as he tends to the flight attendants, giving her some orders.
“You will be fed, and then, you will get some sleep. The flight is a long ride for you to be uncomfortable in,” Zane warns.
*
After the meal, we retreat to the private bedroom and I sleep.
We hadn’t spoken about the incident at the house and how Zane had found me. There are stones that are better not turned, especially with Zane not bringing up the topic.
Even though I feel good about that little part, guilt wouldn’t stop pricking me even more than possible.
Sometimes when I wake up, the plane is landing and I am told to fasten my seatbelt so I can be safe.
“Zane! We have arrived already? I have heard a lot of things to keep me a lifetime in this place,” the words escape my lips before I can shut up.
Way to go, London.
“Come on now, London, you will do whatever crazy things you have planned out in mind. My family would be goad to meet you,”
With that in mind, we heard out of the plane, and no kidding when I say the number of fleet cars standing at attention waiting for Zane to leave the airport with his wife is astonishing.
“Are we in danger, Daddy?” I question, my heartbeat ripping.
My husband’s laughter is a rich sound, I enjoy it even if it is a fleeting second before he tightens his grip on my hand and leads me towards them.
“We are never in danger at home,” he mouth before nodding at a few of his men.
We climb into the limo and I lean against my man’s shoulder, where I fall asleep.
*
I am jolted from the car and I feel warm arms carrying me. When I peek up, I see Zane’s still shaved face, his hands behind my neck and beneath my thighs as he carries me bridal style.
I secure my arms around his neck, snuggling against the croak of his neck.
“Daddy!” I breathe out as I go back to sleep.
*
I stirred awake when I heard feminine voices beside me, opening my eyes, I looked at two women, their eyes flashing at me.
“Jesus! Oh, Jesus! Am I dead?” I cried out as I started scurrying backward.
One of the two girls had red hair, and her green eyes were beautiful. The other kept her brown hair short, but it was long enough to cut just after her shoulders. She had a scrunchie at the center of her hair and her gray eyes were beautiful.
“Hey, you have nothing to be afraid of, and for the records, you are not read. In fact, you are far from being dead, okay?” he calls out looking at me, making sure that I am alright.
Nodding my head in confusion, I wondered why I was even doing that.
I look around the room and it is massive. Zane isn’t here, I don’t know what time it is, and also, I wish I could just get some rest.
The girls in front of me though, I had to do something about them. The redhead spoke first.
“My name is Cecily Vincenzo. This is Mia Vincenzo,” she announces.
I open my mouth to speak, but Mia beats me to it.
“We know who you are, London. I mean, after Don Vincenzo carried you inside the house bridal style when we were all waiting for you? Come on, babe, that was the opening of the season,” she chuckles at the end, making me laugh a little.
“Where… Where is he?” I managed to question out.
“Uhmm… Probably doing some boring stuff with one of the men? I don’t know, but we were asked to keep an eye on you,” Cecily speaks.
I wouldn’t lie, but I love her boldness, and I think I love them already.
“Come on, London, Casey is in the kitchen, she wants to meet you too,” Mia calls out tugging me out of the bed.
I resist just enough to tell them to give me a moment to freshen up.
They accept, but they get comfortable, talking about a meeting that is to happen the following week, and the Vincenzo festival.
I just get so confused that I brush all those talks aside. Zane hadn’t told me about any meeting, he just said we needed a break from the States, thus, his home back in Italy has been the safe bet.
After wearing my clothes, I picked out a skirt, which cut me mid-thigh, and a hoodie. That was probably Zane’s hoodie because it smelled like him.
I didn’t question why I had clothes here that were my size, I just tried my best to ignore that as much as possible.
“Girl, you look sexy and ready to kill,” Mia grinds out as she hurries to me.
She hugs me and I feel so warm, Cecily joins in the family hug.
These are the sisters I wished I had. It makes me want to check on Micah, my only brother. Making a mental note about it, I know I have to check in on him.
I could start getting homesick if I think too hard, thus, I close that page and focus on my life at the moment, surrounded by Zane’s Sicily family.
“Let’s go meet Casey before she gives us a new one about her not being part of the gang,” I hear Cecily say.
“Who is Casey?” I manage to ask after I catch my breath and separate from their hug.
The women stop, and they glare at me before their eyes soften.
“Well, Casey is Don Russell’s wife and the first bride. Her man is the head of the Sicily Chapter. She is giving orders in the kitchen on what to be served for you. The reason why we were asked to come to get you,” Mia explains.
“And you both?” I question, eyeing them as they share a mutual glance before responding.
Mia still replies to the question.
“Well, you know our names, and I am married to Don Alexandro of Venice Vincenzo and Cecily is married to Don Rio MonteLeo,” Mia explains.
Although I couldn’t figure out much of what they said, I knew these happened to be important men to the Vincenzo branch. I nod my head.
