***Anna***
We were all speechless after what my father told us.
“If Mike Cameron is Mike Dela Vega, then what was his reason to hurt us especially uncle Alfred?” I ask myself silently.
Then suddenly Denyx phone rang. He took out his phone in his pocket and pick up the call.
“Hello mom!” I heard him.
“Okay, we are here waiting in the police station.” Denyx told her over the phone. Then he hanged up.
“Mom said that the police officer called her to inform they were close by to our mansion to arrest Mike.”
“Good then. Whatever his reason was, he still killed my wife and almost kill my daughter. I can’t just let it go.” My father told Denyx.
“I understood uncle. He committed a crime and he has to pay for it.” Denyx agreed.
***Third Person***
I was reading some documents when I heard the police car sirens.
I ignored it but it becomes louder and louder until I heard it stopped right at the mansion.
I stood up and put the documents on the table where my office room is.
I opened the door and I went downstairs.
I saw Kate talking to the police officers at the front door.
“What is it Kate?” I asked
“They’re looking for you Mike.” She replied.
I walked closer to them and asked again.
“What do you want officers?”
“Mike Cameron A. K. A Mike Dela Vega we have a warrant of arrest against you for killing Mrs. Amy Johnson and the master mind of that accident. You will be under investigation of Alfred Moore’s death.
Put your hands behind you and turned around.” The first police officer commanded him.
“You have the right to remain silent until you get your own attorney to defend your case.” Said the second police officer.
Mike turned around and the two officers handcuffed him.
Mike looked at Mrs. Kate without regrets on his face.
“Kate this is not the end yet.” Mike told Mrs. Kate.
“Yes Mike, this is over. You killed my friend and you almost kill Anna too. You stole our money and company. So yes, you deserve to live behind that bars.” Mrs. Kate came closer to him and slapped him hard on his cheek.
Mike looked Kate angrily and laughed like a mad man.
“Oh poor Kate…. tsskkkk… tssskkk.. you married that selfish man on earth that’s why you have to face his consequences.” Mike laughed even more louder while saying it.
“How dare you called Alfred a selfish man!” Replied Mrs. Kate furiously.
“Oh yeah, I forgot. I am just taking away what I deserved because he promised these to me. That one day we will build our own company. But then he betrayed me Kate! He betrayed me!”
Shouted Mike while kept laughing.
“You’re a mad man Mike and I won’t let you mock my late husband when he can’t defend himself. Now take him out to may house and put him in jail.” Mrs Kate pointed on the door angrily.
The police officers took Mike out of the mansion handcuffed and drove him to the police station.
Mrs. Kate was behind them.
While we were sitting and waiting for them to reach the police station we heard the police car’s sirens.
Denyx stood up and said.
“I think that’s them.”
We all stood up and waited until the two police officers escorted him going inside the police station.
When they reached inside the police station they stopped in front of us.
Then Mike spoke.
I hurriedly came to him and slapped him right and left with my hand.
“That slapped weren’t enough for killing my mother.” I told him angrily while pointing at him.
“You ruined my life and family and you’re going to pay for it Mike Dela Vega.” I told him firmly and he was surprised.
“How did you know?” He asked.
“We all knew who you are Mike and this is over.” My dad spoke.
“I can’t believe what you’ve done to my father Mike. You don’t have the right to ruin his life nor ours. You killed Mrs. Mc Len and I am sure you did the same to my father.” Denyx is holding his fists while facing Mike angrily.
Mike laughed so loud like a mad man.
“Hahaha… hahhaha… hahaha…” Then suddenly he stopped and looked at Denyx right straight on his eyes.
“Yes, I killed Amy and unfortunately her daughter was with her that day. You know why? Because Alfred chose to seek help from her rather than me. I cannot allow her to take over the company where I worked hard for many years. I took away what Alfred doesn’t deserve. I deserve the life he was enjoying. He forget that it was my dream it wasn’t him.
Do you know what it feels like when someone ditch you because they think they no longer needs you?
Hahaha… No! you don’t of course because you know nothing about others feeling because you’re always alone.” Mike laughed and said angrily while saying those things.
Denyx was about to punch him when my dad held his hand.
“Don’t do it Denyx, you don’t have to dirty your hands because of him. He will pay for the crime he did to my family and to your father.”
“Put him in jail and make sure he doesn’t get away from all of us.” Mrs. Kate said while walking toward all of us.
“Mom, are you alright?” Denyx asked Mrs. Kate.
“I am son, it’s time that he needs to pay what he deserved. He killed Amy and Alfred and I will make sure he will be in jail for the rest of his life.”
Denyx hugged Mrs. Kate and we walked to the police in-charge.
“We will take care of everything here Mr. Mc Len. We already forwarded the case to the higher court and the case is reopen again and at this time we got the suspect to be sentence.”
“Thank you officer. Inform us anytime when we need something to do about this case.” My father said.
“We will Mr. Mc Len and thank you for reopening this case because it’s been two decades that this killer was free.”
“We just did what we think was right and I will have a peace of mind now that finally you caught the mastermind of my late wife’s death.”
“Definitely Mr. Mc Len, we will let you know once he get her lawyer to defend him. Then the trials will start soon.” The police officer said.
After Mike was put in jail all of us went for a lunch. Finally we all have peace and relieved knowing that Mike is already in jail.
Denyx drove us to the restaurant while dad and Mrs. Kate’s car followed behind ours.
We’ve reached the restaurant that Denyx reserved for us. We all get down from Denyx car and walked inside.
“This way please.” The waiter assisted us.
We went inside the private room and settled ourselves to order for lunch.
“Babe what do you like to have?” Denyx asked me.
“I will have kale salad only.” I told him.
“Sweetheart you have to eat more. It won’t be enough for you.” My dad told me.
“It’s fine dad I can have pasta later.” I told him. He won’t stop nagging me if I won’t eat anyway.
Denyx ordered soup for Mrs. Kate and dad for starters and salads for us.
**Mike***
I didn’t expect that Anna was still alive. I can’t let them succeed while I suffers inside the jail.
“Excuse me officer.” I called the police in-charge.
“What can I do to you Mr. Dela Vega?” He asked.
“I need to make a call. I need to arrange a lawyer for my case.” I told him.
“In that case you have the right to make a phone call and arrange a lawyer for you.” He replied. He brought handcuffed me and opened the jail then assisted me to the place where I can make a call.
“You are allowed to call for fifteen minutes at the moment Mr. Dela Vega, but after that you’re no longer can use a phone except receiving a visitors on your visit hour.” The police officer explained.
“I understood sir.”
I dialed Kevin’s number my son.
“Kevin, I need your help.”
“Hello dad, what happened?”
“I’m in jail right now. The Moore family went behind my back. They investigated the accident happened to Amy Mc Len and her daughter is alive. Her name is Anna Mc Len.”
“What? We’re fucked up dad.”
“No, listen to me Kevin. I need a lawyer right now. You have to arrange that for me. Then call Elle convince her that you have to do something together because Anna is taking away Denyx from her.”
“Okay dad, I will arrange your lawyer right away.”
“And Kevin don’t come here in the police station. I don’t want you to get involve with the case otherwise we can’t make a plan. Do you understand me?”
“Yes, dad I understand.”
“Stay away from me for awhile while you’re working of something else to destroy them.”
“Noted dad. I will send you a lawyer to defend you.”
“I want you to transfer my money on your account right now. Use that money for the plan.”
“Okay dad. Take care.”
“Take care Kevin don’t forget to call Elle.”
“I will dad.”
I hanged up the call before my time was up. I did it on purposed so the police officer cannot hear our conversation when he comes.
“Mr. Dela Vega your fifteen minutes call is up.” He reminded me.
“I finished my call sir.”
He opened the cell and I came out and put me back in jail again.
I smiled because even I am inside but Kevin is still free.
