I sat in my leather seat with my eyes shut, a blissful smile on my face.
My fingers lightly tapped on the arm rest as I hummed a soft tune.
Slowly opening my eyes, I peered out my office’s window.
I faced away from my glass desk and looked through the transparent windows that played the role of walls.
There was a beautiful view of the city and I couldn’t help but stare like I have been for the past few months.
It had been months. I now owned my own company; Peterson’s Industries. To carry on my parents legacy, I also associated with the selling and purchasing of expensive, rare and almost ancient jewelry. I also opened up a couple of stores named after my mothers maiden name in her honour.
At first, it was a struggle. I had to pick up from where Marcus had so abruptly left off. However, with the help of Celeste and Sanders Industries, I was up on my own feet and in control.
I hired many new workers that Marcus had fired previously over spite and for self amusement.
I was now a well known business women amongst the business world and it was great. I finally received the life I wanted and deserved.
Through out my plan of revenge and identity as Victoria, I never planned on meeting someone. Or even falling in love.
But then I found Alexander.
Just as a small smile formed across my face, I felt a soft peck against my cheek and I grinned, knowing very well who those lips belonged to.
I turned around in my chair and looked up to see Alexander smiling down at me. He placed each of his hands on the arm rests on either side of me and tilted his head.
His soft smile and quiet gaze had me amused.
“Mr Celeste?” I said in a fake formal voice, “-is there anything I could possibly help you with?”
He leaned down closer and smirked.
“Well Ms Peterson,” he said in a smug voice, “-there is one little thing…”
Trailing off, Alexander lowered his eyes towards my lips and he grinned as he placed his lips on mine.
I was smiling from ear to ear as I wrapped my arms around his neck and pushed him closer.
Before anything could get further than a kiss, I leaned back and gave Alexander a sweet smile.
“Was there anything you really needed?” I asked in my neutral tone as Alexander stood up straight.
“No,” he said dismissively, “-did I need an excuse to come see you?” he asked in somewhat disappointment and I rolled my eyes.
I placed my hands on my knees and stood up with a smug look.
I rewrapped my arms around Alexanders waist this time and he pulled me closer.
“Of course not,” I batted my lashes and Alexander tried not to smile.
Before we could get into further conversation, the door to my office was pushed open and my head snapped towards the door.
Quinton came in with a large smile as he pulled his scarf off. My secretary looked alarmed as she tried to stop Quinton and Quinton gave the blonde an odd look.
“Samantha,” Quinton said in distaste, “-get your secretary off of me.”
I stepped away from Alexander and couldn’t help but laugh a little.
“No need to be rude Quinton,” I softly scowled at him and then looked over at the blonde with a small smile, giving her nod, letting her know it was fine to let Quinton in.
Once she closed the door, Quinton walked around my desk to place himself in my seat. He kicked his feet up onto my desk and I raised an eyebrow.
“Well you certainly know how to make yourself at home,” I commented and Quinton smirked.
“I most certainly do,” he agreed, “-anyways. The three of us are going over to Alexander’s place for a little celebration.”
Now Alexander raised an eyebrow.
“I wasn’t aware of this. May I ask what the celebration is?” Alexander asked.
“Its been exactly four months since Samantha took ownership of her business. Surely this causes for a simple drink together,” Quinton stated and I looked over at Alexander with a happy smile.
These past few months that’s all I was.
Happy.
“I’m up for it,” I smiled.

One bottle of wine, and two bottles of champagne later, I was feeling a light buzz and I sat close to Alexander.
Quinton had had a little much to drink, as he laughed and shook his head.
“I haven’t been able to drink this much since I left the hospital!” he boomed and Alexander simply grinned. His tolerance for alcohol was high as he remained steady and calm.
“How are you feeling?” Alexander whispered into my ear and I grinned, my eyes on Quinton.
“Clearly not as great as Quinton,” I laughed and Alexander chuckled.
He placed his arm over my shoulders and leaned forward to grab his tall glass of champagne.
He held his cup out towards the middle of the three of us and and I leaned my arm out to hold my glass near his.
Quinton after a moment, caught on and lifted up his empty glass and clinged it against our glasses.
“To us!” Quinton cheered loudly and I laughed.
“To Samantha,” Alexander grinned, placing a kiss on my forehead making my smile widen.
Quinton and Alexander then glanced at me almost expectantly. It was my turn to make a toast and my smile didn’t falter one bit.
“To…” I began and tilted my head.
What could I possibly make a toast to? Everything was beyond perfect. Marcus was gone, Catelyn was gone and Max was gone. I had finally got my revenge just like Alexander and Quinton had.
However just at the thought of Marcus and the others, I knew exactly what to make a toast to.
As my grin turned into a sly one, I sat up straight and lifted my chin up in confidence.
“Here is a toast to,” I began with a smirk,
“-Sweet Revenge”
