Without wasting another second, I advanced towards Catelyn. Straight away, Catelyns foot kicked up off of the ground and swung around my head as I quickly ducked, dodging it, and kicked my leg out from underneath in an attempt to trip her, however she jumped over just in time.
Catelyn came onto me fast and held the knife as she swung it to swipe past my face. I leaned back and twisted around, kicking up off of my left foot and kicking her in the stomach.
The blow was effective, considering Catelyn fell to the floor and groaned lightly.
Before she could get back up, I pushed her back down like the man named Kevin had done to me earlier.
“Catelyn,” I rasped, “-why did you have to do this?” I said in a fake disappointing tone as I shook my head.
“I mean, we had a deal. A really good one. You stay out of my business and I stay out of yours,” I said with a smile as I shrugged my shoulders. It was easy as that.
“Well Samantha,” Catelyn spat as she crawled backwards and then stood up, “-I actually considered it. However you taking those photos? Alright fine. Using my phobia against me? Maybe I deserved that, but messing with Max and his chance at that level of wealth?” Catelyn said in an angry voice.
“See that’s when I decided I wanted you gone for sure.”
I simply smiled at Catelyn and then tilted my head.
“What? Kill me? Like the three of you did to my parents?” I said trying to get the words out of her. I was hoping Kevin stuck around. However even if he did, Catelyn didn’t say a word. I had to rile her up.
“You three might’ve killed them so easily, but you can’t get rid off me,” I chuckled and Catelyn narrowed her eyes.
“Oh? And why not?” she asked.
“You see, I’m not defenseless. And I’m not a cheater either. When you killed my innocent parents? They were defenseless. When you won their wealth? That was cheating. At life.”
Catelyn rolled her eyes.
“Don’t be so dramatic. They died together didn’t they? And Its not my fault your mother was so weak. One slit against her throat and the women bled out instantly. I don’t recall creating such a serious wound,” Catelyn shrugged and through out her words I tried to stay calm.
“Weak?” I hissed, “-my mother was not weak. But you know who is? The three of you. Killing people in defenseless states. Stealing even,” I spat and looked at her in disgust.
Catelyn looked at me for a few more seconds before giggling lightly to herself.
“Us weak? Samantha, do you not see the power we have gained by doing what we did?” Catelyn laughed again and the noise set me off.
I planned on having her put in jail, but this. This was the last straw.
I suddenly lunged at Catelyn and tackled the her to the floor. Straddling her, I grabbed her hand with the knife, trying to push it down as she tried to push it up. My other hand gripped her throat and I squeezed as I smirked at the glorious scene.
Catelyns free hand gripped my hand around her throat and tried to get mine off of it.
Seeing that that didn’t work, Cateyln used her body to turn us to the side making me let ago.
I quickly stood up and so did she.
“You little bitch,” Catelyn hissed rubbing her throat.
“Who?” I mused, “-me or you?
Catelyn hissed under her breath and advanced forward again. She grabbed my hair and yanked it down.
I couldn’t help but shout. Not in pain, but in anger.
“Who’s weak now Catelyn,” I shouted wrapping my arms around her waist, “-going for the easy shots!”
After I had a firm grip around Catelyn, I ran forward and pushed her along with me. A second later I smashed Catelyns body into the stone wall.
Her grip on my hair loosened and I pushed her away from me.
Catelyn groaned in pain and I slightly panted as I stepped back.
Catelyn gripped the wall for support as she slowly stood up and looked at me with a deadly look.
Blood began trickling down her forehead and Catelyn slightly stumbled.
“Whats wrong,” I spat, “-is that all you’ve got?” I shouted balling up my fists.
I wanted to fight. I wanted to pound my clenched fist in her face. Fury flooded my veins and I wanted to hurt her so badly.
“Stand up!” I yelled as sweat formed on the brim of my forehead.
Catelyn did as she was told. She also looked furious. Catelyn stood up straight and gave me a nasty glare.
Catelyns hand wobbled as she raised the small knife. She placed her other hand in front of her face and the one with the knife flung forward. Catelyn
concentrated on the blade deeply as she began twisting it back and forth at a fast pace.
Not this again, I inwardly sighed and clenched my jaw.
“You haven’t won just yet Samantha,” Catelyn rasped and I narrowed my eyes.
She flipped the knife around and around and my eyes tried their best to follow where the blade went.
Finally she decided to throw it at an incredible speed. The knife moved at lightening speed and headed in my direction. My brain registered what I was seeing in the last second and I quickly moved my head to the left.
I felt the sharp blade skim the surface of my cheek and I hissed through my teeth.
I was ready to advance at Catelyn once more with a knew found fury, however Catelyns face masked surprise as she looked at something behind me.
I slowly turned around.
A man held the small knife inches away from his face. The blade was close to the skin of his forehead and he stared solemnly at Catelyn.
“Alexander,” I whispered, the slight sting in my cheek forgotten.
Alexander threw the knife in the air, before catching it, facing the right way, without even glancing at it.
“Mr Celeste?” Catelyn gasped in shock.
“You see,” Alexander said, ignoring Catelyns words as he stared her down.
“-Victoria wasn’t lying when she said she wasn’t defenseless,” he said and I also stared at him in surprise, wondering how long he had been here.
“-she has more powerful forces on her side than you ever will,” he said calmly and Catelyn didn’t appear as confident. However she gave us a smirk.
“Samantha, I see you’ve built up quite the defense team,” Catelyn said with a forced chuckle.
“I told you. I am not defenseless,” I gritted out. Even with or without Alexander I never will be.
Before either of us could say another word, Kevin came out from behind the corner I gestured to him earlier.
He strode into the room and immediately my eyes latched to his as he looked at me for a second, then looked away.
However to Catelyn, it must’ve seemed like just entered.
“Ah! Kevin,” Catelyn quickly said in fake panic as she touched the blood on her head and showed it to him.
“This murderer has back up! Please help me,” she said with a fake sob.
Kevin remained silent as he walked passed us and over to Catelyn and stood behind her in what looked like a protective stance. Seeing this, Catelyn smirked as she eyed his gun and back up at us.
“Go on,” Catelyn encouraged as she motioned to the gun.
Kevin slowly raised his gun.
Alexander grabbed my arm and pulled me too his side.
“Ah, Samantha,” Catelyn chuckled as she gave me an amused look.
“-It was great knowing you. Really. Looks like I won. Again. Too bad your going too-”
Before Catelyn could finish her sentence, Kevin raised the gun, and in a fast motion, slammed it against the back of Catelyns neck. Catelyns eyes
widened and immediately her body descended to the ground and fell with a thud.
We all stood there in silence for a few moments. I looked at Kevin, startled at the fact he knocked Catelyn out-unconscious.
Kevin then offered the gun towards me with a serious look.
“Would you like to do the honours?” Kevin asked as he looked at Catelyn in disgust.
“So you heard?” I asked as I stared at him.
“Oh. I heard alright,” he said in an angry tone.
I glanced up at Alexander who was already watching me carefully, then back at Kevin.
“Kevin if you’d like you can leave,” I stated, looking back at him.
“No,” he gruffly said shaking his head as he pushed Catelyns limp body with his foot, “-not until I watch you kill this murderer. This liar,” he said in anger.
I didn’t blame him. Kevin was tricked, and no one liked being tricked nor lied to.
“Gladly,” I huffed and my murderous eyes eyed Catelyns body. I stepped forward to grab the gun, however a soft hand gently grabbed mine.
“Victoria, no. We will put them behind bars,” Alexander said, “-killing them will make us as bad as them,” he whispered and I clenched my jaw.
“But-”
“Victoria,” Alexander said firmly and I took in a sharp breath trying to calm down my raging temper.
“In time I’ll have her and the rest behind bars,” I firmly repeated to Kevin and to myself, trying to convince myself not to grab the gun and shoot her in the head.
Kevin didn’t argue with either of us and gave an understanding nod.
“I’m sorry,” Kevin said gruffly as he looked me in the eyes.
I knew why he was apologizing. For accusing me earlier and acting out violently.
I simply nodded my head. Kevin then glanced at Alexander and then back at me.
Without a word, Kevin left. However as he walked passed me he slipped my phone back into my hands.
Alexander and I then stood remaining in the room, with Catelyn’s unconscious body.
“How’d you find me?” I asked turning to face him. My phone tightly clutched in my hand.
Alexander chuckled and looked at me with his dark eyes.
“You’re a smart girl Victoria. Turning on the location on your mobile,” He said with a smile.
However after staring at me for a moment he frowned and clenched his jaw.
“I hope I’m wrong, but,” Alexander said with a pause, “-why did Catelyn refer to you as Samantha?” he asked steadily.
