Olivia
Two months had passed since the accident.
I did a brilliant job on my therapy. I could walk properly than before although sometimes my leg was still limping if I walked too much but I could use it now, unlike before where I was being the vulnerable one and couldn’t walk. Either using a wheelchair or crutches.
I was grateful that physically I was okay now, but my heart was still breaking. I knew I couldn’t mourn forever but I couldn’t forget what I had lost.
My baby with Blake.
He managed to be with me every time and he never talked about it anymore. It wasn’t like Blake didn’t care about it but he didn’t want to always think about it. It was hard but I had to keep going.
Christmas was close already. Like what I and my family did every year, plus Blake now, we were visiting my mother’s grave. As usual, her grave was always clean and looked proper. I was thankful to my mother because she told me to wake up soon and stopped Blake.
I just remembered that the result of the court was both Carol and her father were proven guilty for their actions. They didn’t say anything during the trial and with Blake’s request which actually was my request, Carol was put into the mental hospital and was given the best therapist to overcome her trauma while her father would be in jail for fifteen years.
I thought Carol needed it, to be far away from her father who had touched her. Even the court had decided to not let him get close with his daughter again. There would be another penalty for that. I hope when Carol was discharged, she would become a new person, and met someone who she loved deeply and sincerely.
I looked up and found Blake was looking at my mother’s grave. As usual, his face was expressionless but his eyes spoke volume. He loved her dearly, as a friend. He cared about her. Mom was the only friend he had after my dad. Then, he turned down to me and smiled. I smiled as well.
He turned to where my parents were. “Guys, could you let us have a minute with Chloe?” he asked.
“Sure,” Cindy replied and she walked away with dad and Eric on his hold. Leaving Blake and me alone.
“Did you know? I dreamed about my mom before.”
“Yeah, you told me about it.”
“Yeah. She asked me to open my eyes and stopped your madness. I know what you’ll do if I don’t stop you.”
Blake turned his blue eyes back on me again and his side lip lifted. “Even your mother doesn’t approve of my action.” He looked down at her grave once again. “You never asked me what I have done to her.” I didn’t reply. It was true though. I never asked him because I knew it would be bad. He turned to me again and confessed, “I whipped her and asked the people from the porn industry to do whatever they wanted with her. Either turning her into a whore or just break her even more while Dean was watching.”
I didn’t say anything and he looked away again. “I was blinded with revenge. I couldn’t take it you were hurt because of Carol. No one touches even hurt my belonging. Do you remember that I have mafia’s blood on my veins? I never lived with them yet I always think the same as them. A fucking monster.”
“Stop!” I immediately grabbed his face so he would see but his eyes were still avoiding me. “Look at me.” And his blue eyes were fixed on me. “You are not a mafia. You are not a killer. You are just Blake. My Blake. My monster. I know what you can but you have a kind heart.”
“That’s because you asked me to.”
I shook my head. “Even if I did, you had a choice to not listened to me.”
“You’re right,” he smirked.
“That’s the only proof we need. You still have a heart and compassion. Maybe while you’re hurting her and listened about her trauma, you pitied her. But you were blinded with the thing she had done to me. To us.” I tiptoed and captured his lips. Kissing him by merely connecting our lips. Blake allowed and accepted me as I stared into his eyes and pulled away a bit. “I love you, Blake. I know you are different. I know your past. I know what kind of man you have become. Even without me had to stop you from doing mistakes, you have compassion and you have proven it to me before, to those boys and girls. You paid for their treatment and made sure they were well treated in the end. So, please. Don’t compare yourself with a cold-blood mafia. You are not the same as them. What matters in the end is yourself. And I love you everything you are. Your good and bad side. I accept them all.”
“Olivia…” He touched my face, closing himself, and kissed me. I didn’t want him to think that he was the same as his real family. True, Blake came from a mafia family. His father used to rule the underworld but that didn’t mean he was the same as him. I wanted him to know that Blake was just Blake. The Blake Morgan that I loved deeply.
“I have no idea what I have done so I can have you. You are so different from me. You’re the light while I’m the darkness.”
“And that’s why we’re together,” I added and he chuckled. Kissing me once again. I loved his kisses. He might be rough but he could be sweet. A dark being with an angelic heart. After all…
The devil was once an angel.
He let go of my lips as we were breathing each other’s breath. “There’s something you need to know,” he started. “Starting next year, I’m not your uncle anymore.” My eyes widened in shock when he said that. Confused as well.
I pulled myself from him and stared into his eyes. He was serious, but still… “What do you mean?”
“I’ve asked my parents to drop my adoption.” My mouth was slightly opened and he continued, “They were shocked at first but they knew this would come sooner or later. My reason is simple; I wanted you. Maybe you will think that I was crazy but the day you were born, I immediately knew that I must have you. The reason I divorced your mother was because of you. I couldn’t stay with you two anymore knowing I wanted the daughter while I had a wife.”
“What? Did she know?”
He sighed. “She never told me but maybe she knew. A mother’s instinct was strong, Olivia. She only knew I divorced her because I had fulfilled her request. Married her, acted as the one who impregnated her, took responsibility, and left. I had thought about this decision after I was separated from you. It was a tough one that I have to leave the family who had accepted me with open arms and gave me a bunch of love I deserved and I left them. But they understood. It’s what they wanted as well. To find someone, build a family, and give the family the love and care they deserve. The happiness they deserve.”
I didn’t know what to say. There were too many words to say but I couldn’t find the voice to say it. He looked at me with determination in his eyes. “I want to build a family with you, Olivia. As my wife and the mother of my children.” I could feel my lips were trembling and when he fully turned to me and kneeled on the ground, I couldn’t hold back my tears any longer. “Marry me, Olivia Graham.”
My tears finally broke. I covered my mouth with my hand. Was this really happening? Blake was proposing to me?
And then he smirked. “Did you expect to be proposed at the graveyard? And in front of your mother’s tomb?”
“N-No, but…” I pulled my hand from my mouth. “I’ve always wanted you to be my only forever. But you’re my uncle and it saddened me because I don’t know what future is waiting for us.”
“Well then, I assure you that you have nothing to worry about anymore. I will be fully yours next year.”
“Oh, God.” My tears dropped to my cheeks again. I wasn’t dreaming, was I? But I looked down at him again. “How about your company?”
“I still owned it.”
“But the name? You have to change it, right? Because you’re not a Morgan anymore.”
He chuckled. “Oh, I forgot to tell you. You see, coincidentally, my mother’s maiden name was Morgan as well but she had no connection with my adoptive father. So, I still could use Morgan’s name as my company’s name. And soon…it will be your name again. Since the beginning, you are a Morgan, Olivia Morgan.”
I couldn’t hold back anymore as I threw myself to him and hugged him tightly. “I want to be yours forever, Blake. I’ll be a good wife. A good mother for our children. They are not going to face the same fate like us. They will live happily with our watches.”
Blake returned the hold and hugged me tightly. “They won’t.”
While we were hugging, for a glimpse I saw my mother behind the tree smiling at us and disappeared. But I managed to captured her words. I’m so happy for you, Olivia.
“Blake, I think I saw my mom.”
“You too? She told me to take care of you. She gave us her blessing, Olivia.”
“Well then, you have to ask my parents now.”
He chuckled darkly. “They won’t say no to me. Even if they do, I’ll make sure they will say yes. Not even Taylor and Cindy could prevent me to have you,” he said confidently. Well, this was Blake after all. I knew they won’t even bother trying.
“You are impossible.”
“You love me, baby.”
“You are lucky that I do. Besides,” I paused and pulled away from him with my hands still wrapped around his neck. “No one says no to Blake Morgan.”
