80. Dragon Demon VS Smoke Cloaked Demon

Book:BROKEN : Satanic Verses Published:2024-5-1

Dev dives in water. She saw her mother sinking very far away. However, the demon that had harmed Jess restrained her with her magic power. Dev is a dragon demon with a body size large enough that her every movement makes the lake turbulent quite horribly. A fierce battle ensued between the two.
As if to have comparable strength, 20 minutes was a dangerous amount of time for Jess’ safety. Dev outwits the enemy by rising to the surface of the water. When the black shadow is provoked to chase after her, Dev traps her into the churchyard. Dev thinks the place of worship will subdue the evil forces.
“Argh!” The demon screamed in pain.
“You are dead!” Dev curses. However, suddenly, the sinister-faced black shadow recovered and burst into laughter.
“Immortality cannot be killed, haha!” Dev is shocked. What happened was unexpected. Her efforts failed miserably.
“You!” Dev growls, but dhe doesn’t attack. She immediately screeched and thought her mother’s safety was more important. However, she was held back by the sudden attack. Like it or not, Dev served her. The sooner the better.
As a result of magical battles, many buildings were damaged. The scenery there was like a disaster. The noise skyrocketed. This triggers Mehmet’s return to consciousness. A small moan escaped from Mehmet’s mouth. The man did not find a safe haven so he could only cross his legs, waiting for what fate God would give him.
Moving to the edge of the lake, there Dev seems unable to control her emotions and strength and has not been able to adapt to her dragon form. This causes Dev to fall several times.
“Let’s give up, Goddess Lilith will surely bless you.” The devil spoke when she managed to make Dev helpless.
“I will not submit to anyone!” said Dev. She rose again, but the barrage of attacks made her even more powerless.
“Then welcome your death!” Just as the demon launched its attack again, the atmosphere changed.
The air became so hot that it made them in pain. In fact, Dev’s thick skin was slowly peeling off. The devil became restless. They knew, another power stopped their fight.
“Argh!” Screams escaped their mouths. The female demon body slowly disappears while Dev is unconscious.
The atmosphere is calm again. There was only a light breeze that shook all the light materials. Mehmet opened his eyes and looked around. The man’s eyes fell on someone lied on the edge of the lake.
“Deva!” softly. Mehmet limps to Dev.
“Dev! Dev!” Mehmet shakes Dev’s body. He didn’t care about the pain on his face.
“Dev, wake up!” He shouted louder. Instantly, Dev wakes up and finds Mehmet’s horrifying face.
“Uncle! Your face ….”
“I’ll tell you later. What happened to you? Why is your skin blistered? What … Is this all the work of the two demons I saw earlier?” Mehmet asked a lot of questions.
“Uncle Mehmet didn’t know the dragon was me.” Dev says in heart.
“Did Uncle get rid of them?” asked Dev.
“I was just trying to drive them away by reciting the prayers taught in my religion. Praise be to God. His power easily got rid of them.” Dev is silent. She seemed to have thought of something.
“Mommy!”
“What’s wrong with Jess?” Mehmet’s question is ignored by Dev. Dev swims frantically to the bottom of the lake. She does not know since when she had the ability to swim. Who knows. Everything can happen because of a miracle.
After fifteen minutes, Dev finally found the mother. Dev manages to bring her mother to the surface after going through hardships. A dumbfounded Mehmet immediately helps Dev.
“Mommy! Mommy!” Being submerged for too long made Jess’ internal organs filled with water. Mehmet immediately performed first aid.
A lot of water came out of Jess’ mouth as Mehmet pressed against her chest. However, this did not immediately make Jess realize.
“Mommy!”
“Calm down, Dev! Your mother will be fine. I’ll call an ambulance. You need to find Elfara. I’m not sure your sister will be okay.” Dev nods and immediately runs inside the house.
“Elfara!”
“Elfara!” Dev’s call goes unanswered. She found every place she passed looked normal except for Jess’ room.
Dev sniffs magical traces in the messy room. Her mind immediately went to Elfara’s room. However, when she got there, Elfara was not there. The room was still tidy. Dev suspects that her sister is in another room.
“Elfara!”
“Where is she?” Arriving in the kitchen, Dev’s steps stopped.
“Elfara!” Dev walks fast knowing Elfara is covered in blood.

At the hospital, Elfara, Jess, and Mehmet receive intensive care while Dev refuses to be hospitalized. Getting injured was normal for her.
“Mrs. Jess has suffered brain damage from being submerged in water for too long. However, this was a miracle because she was able to survive for more than twenty minutes. Usually, a person who drowns within four to six minutes without resuscitation will die. Pray, we will do our job as best we can.” Dev is silent hearing the male doctor’s explanation about her mother’s condition.
“What about my sister and uncle?” Dev asked in a low tone, as if not ready for the next news.
“Miss Elfara is just in shock. The wound on her face is not that serious while Mr. Mehmet, I’m really sorry. It is with great regret that I must say that he suffered skin tissue damage due to not receiving first aid since the dangerous liquid hit his face. As, a result of that incident Mr. Mehmet is also at risk of damage to his cornea. I hope you take heart, Mr. Dev.” Dev’s bones soften. She left the stern-faced doctor without a word.
In the hospital toilet, Dev secludes herself. Feeling very sad about the tragedy that befell her family. She cried silently. Regret everything.
“Useless! Nothing would have happened if I didn’t obey my temper. Dad … Mom!”
“Shit! Shit! Argh!” Dev grabs her french crop hair. Feeling very angry with herself.
“I should be able to control my emotions more.” Dev staggered to Jess’ room. Her heart broke every time she looked at Jess’ face. The poor woman has experienced suffering and injustice since Erhan’s blood flowed through Dev’s body.
“I’m sorry, Mom.” Dev sauntered because she could not linger there.
Dev took a deep breath. Trying to quell the tempest in the heart. As a human being who is considered a young adult, she must learn to act according to her age who is already in her twenties.
“Uncle Mehmet!” Dev’s body straightens up as she remembers her father’s best friend.
“Are you okay?” Dev asks the man sitting on the hospital bed.
“There’s nothing to worry about. I’m fine.” The man replied with a smile.
“Are you out of your mind, Uncle Mehmet? Just now the doctor told me your facial skin is damaged and you are at risk for eye problems.” Mehmet smiled again after a few seconds of silence.
“I can do reconstructive surgery, right? All misfortunes have a lesson. Every problem has a solution and God doesn’t bring down pain except with medicine. We just need to be tolerant, try, and stay positive.” Dev rolls her eyes. Feeling uncomfortable with Mehmet’s lecture.
“What do those masked people want from you?”
“I don’t know! They didn’t come to rob, but want to hurt us. It seems they know me, and they have a good reason. Dev, I’m worried about Doctor Michele.”
“I’ll find him soon!” Right after Dev said so, the sound of screams flowed into her ears.
“Elfara?”
