“So messed up!” Mehmet complained seeing Doctor Michele’s apartment as neglected. Medical equipment was scattered in the front room. So are the sofa cushions and the upside-down cup. Seeing the ominous signs, Dev and Mehmet split up.
“Uncle Michele!” call Dev. She checked every room. Nothing fishy or catches her eye except the bathroom.
Dev sees someone hanging over the bathtub. Dev barges in with a racing heart. The curtain that was stretched was parted roughly. Furthermore, she exhaled regularly.
“Damn it!” Dev hits the foot which is above her head. As it turned out, the only thing hanging there was a bloodied mannequin.
“Wait! Blood?” Dev just noticed something odd. She rushed to lower the hanging naked male mannequin.
“Why is it so heavy?” She complained, increasingly suspicious.
Dev takes a penknife under her coat after taking a few steps back. Her eyes were focused on the rope around the mannequin’s neck. A few seconds the knife flew, the plastic doll fell into the bathtub.
The mannequin looks strange when Dev finds a blackish red tear on the chest. The stain does not disappear even after being exposed to water. Dev watches closely.
“It’s like ….” Dev picks up her fallen penknife.
From the tear she slashed the mannequin’s chest so that it was revealed what was in the mannequin. Dev continues her action with shaking hands. Time and time again, she caught her breath. Dev looks very angry as she finishes slicing the plastic doll in two. The knife just dropped. Silence for a while, Dev shouts.
“Argh!”
“Such a loser!”
“I am the goddess of death. I am here to curse you. Happy death day to you. Hihi.” Someone whispered.
Dev’s anger is at its peak. Dev’s hands are clenched. Her irises changed. Black scales began to appear on parts of her body and face. Dev walks towards shower, then raises her hand in air and makes a suffocating motion.
“Too much bullshit!” Dev strengthens her choking, but something invisible pushes against her body.
Dev’s feet are restrained by the wall. At that moment, the magical whisper sounded again.
“Kill me if you can!” Dev presses her chokes even harder. Black smoke emerged from the gap between her fingers. Accompanied by laughter, flies fly and disappear magically.
“Argh!” Dev punches air.
“Dev, what’s going on ….” Dev turns her head when Mehmet suddenly comes. Dev is still overcome with anger, and she doesn’t realize what is going on which takes Mehmet by surprise.
“Dev?” Mehmet looks at Dev and the mannequins alternately.
“What are you doing?”
“It’s not what you think, Uncle.”
“What happened to you, Dev?”
“I don’t need to answer your question now! We must help uncle Michele immediately.”
“What about the corpse?” asked Mehmet.
“Does Uncle recognize him?”
“He’s doctor Michele’s assistant. How did he get in that mannequin?” Mehmet stared in amazement at the man’s corpse. The corpse was covered in cuts and marks from sharp objects in the chest.
“I don’t know. Looks like his death just happened. I’m pretty sure uncle Michele is in danger right now.”
“Where should we look? I’ve looked all over the room.” Mehmet said.
Dev doesn’t budge, her earlobe twitches. Dev’s eyes scanned sharply in all directions. Her feet moved out. From the kitchen set, Dev is able to hear a knock that Mehmet can’t hear.
“Deva!” Mehmet called out. However, the girl continued to walk towards the kitchen set.
Cautiously, Dev opened the door under the sink. Furthermore, what she found made her chest heat up again.
“Uncle Michele!”
“Perhaps!” Michele pleaded fearfully.
“Uncle, calm down! I’m Dev!” Dev tries to convince Michele. The psychiatrist stares at Dev for a moment, then screams and passes out.
With the help of Mehmet, Dev picked up Michele and laid him on the bed. Dev notices the cross necklace in Michele’s hand. She took the necklace and put it on the table.
“I don’t understand what’s going on.” Dev looks frustrated.
“We’ll ask that once Dr. Michele wakes up.”
“Dev, what happened to your body?” Mehmet could no longer hide his curiosity. Dev immediately noticed that her whole body had not returned to normal.
“Here I am, Uncle! I am a child of the devil!” Dev shouts angrily.
“Perhaps all this calamity happened because of my presence. As Asmodeus said, anyone around me will be harmed.” Mehmet sighed, feeling very sorry for his best friend’s child.
“There is nothing like that, Dev! All children are born pure. Your father and mother are human. You have a kind and loving nature.”
“In fact, I was cursed long before my mother was born. Uncle, it seems you have to take care of Uncle Michele alone. He must think that I’m a creature bothering him.”
“Okay. Dev, calm down.”
Having said so, Dev goes to a quiet forest. She could no longer contain her anger. Dev groans. Another sentence sounded.
“Louvado seja Satanás, Rei das trevas, Senhor da luxúria, Rei Asmodeus. Com seu poder, os filhos dos demônios se refugiam. Asmodeus o príncipe do inferno. Nós te amamos o tempo todo.”
“No!” Dev turns a deaf ear.
“Argh!” She fell to her knees under the power of satanic verses. More and more scales on her body. Her pair of purple eyes changed shape. Gradually, her body changed shape.
One two three ….
Dev shouts loudly. Her body turned into a dragon perfectly. Flying aimlessly at a speed that ordinary human eyes can’t penetrate. She showered the universe with fire. The earth immediately became noisy with human voices.
“Rain of fire, run!” Dev’s anger has a big impact on the safety of the city and again, Dev doesn’t want to open her eyes.
Meanwhile, at Erhan’s residence, Elfara quietly went to Jess’ room. The girl looked sadly at the woman who had given birth to her. Jess was busy looking at the photo of the late Nick. The deep sadness Jess felt, Elfara felt it too.
Elfara walked over to Jess. From the side she touched her mother’s shoulder. Jess felt the touch so soft and cold. Jess turned and shouted. The woman hides her face.
“Mommy, do you really not want me?” Elfara asked sadly.
“So you just don’t want to see me. Why?” Elfara approached Jess who was cornered against the wall. Jess trembled as if she was afraid.
“Dev said you’ve been looking for me all along. Did your favorite child lie to me, Mommy?” Jess was silent as if remembering something.
“Elfara?” Jess’ voice was very low.
“Are you really ashamed to say that name, Mommy? Yes, of course you will. You only have Dev in your life. Why do you hate me so much, Mommy? What did I do wrong? Am I not your biological child? Tell me, Mommy! Tell me!” Elfara raised her voice. Her pale cheeks were wet with tears.
“Look at me, Mommy!” Elfara gripped Jess’ shoulder. However, Jess kept her face hidden with her breath still ragged.
“No! You’re not my daughter!” On reflex, Jess pushed Elfara away. She ran to the side of the bed. Her shaking hands fumbled through the drawers. When she found the scissors, she pointed at Elfara.
“Go, go!” Jess screamed hysterically. The fallen Elfara started to stand up. The girl turned back to her mother. Anger, sadness, and disappointment merged into her beautiful face.
“Don’t come any closer or I’ll kill you!” Elfara ignored Jess’ threat. That sentence only made the girl’s heart hurt even more.
Elfara picked up the scissors that were tightly gripped in Jess’ hand. The thing that was used to threaten her turned to Jess. Elfara raised the scissors high. A moment later, Jess burst into tears while screaming.
“No!”
