“Give me your back! I mean, I’ll treat the wound on your back.” Dev corrects her words.
Hesitating, the girl in torn clothes twisted around, then tossed up her unkempt blonde hair. Several bruises appeared on her white skin. Dev takes water to compress. The zipper is slightly lowered so that the compress reaches all the bruises perfectly. Just then Dev is stunned for something else.
“It’s over. Get some rest! I make sure no one else will dare to hurt you, including Nania.” The girl sees Dev timidly, then lies on her side on the bed.
While the girl lay in silence, Dev took a step out with a gloomy face. Burs of anger spurred her to immediately meet Nania.
Dev finds Nania in the room where Elios is still unconscious. The girl there seemed busy waking Elios. Seeing her, Dev’s jaw hardened twice.
“Nania!” Her screams spontaneously shifted Nania’s focus.
Silently, Nania straightened her heels and looked confused by the horrifying look in Dev’s eyes. Her legs pulled back gave an explanation of how scared she was right now.
“What are you doing?” A reflex question came out of Nania’s tongue as Dev gripped her wrist until she looked red.
“Who allowed you to hurt Elfara? Since when did you do that, huh?” As usual, Dev spoke in a condescending tone, but contained a strong threat.
“I never do that!” Nania said with a small groan.
“Don’t test my patience!”
“I told the truth!” Nania is adamant and such an attitude makes Dev even more angry. In just one movement, Nania’s body was smashed against the decorative cupboard behind her.
“I might forgive you or lighten your sentence if you’d only confessed.” With all her might, Nania manages to let go of Dev’s sudden strangulation.
“Who the hell are you to do something like that to me? You’ve become a hero to the wrong people, Dev!”
“Don’t talk like that! You should know, I won’t forgive anyone who hurts her.” A mocking laugh escaped Nania’s lips.
“Even you tortured me to death, my answer remains the same. Only a short axis person would admit something she never did.” In an instant, Nania’s words produced a loud sound of broken glass. The girl winced at the sharp collapse.
“You are crazy!” The curse slid on the sidelines of Nania’s attempt to counter Dev’s attack.
“Nania!” Man’s voice can be heard enlivening their quarrel.
The man is Elios. The noise they created indirectly pulled Elios back into consciousness. He who looked weak immediately helped Dev who only fell lightly in a knee position holding her body.
“Elios!” Nania’s face was pale again.
“Why did you attack your own friend?” Elios asked incredulously.
“I was only protecting myself. She was the one who attacked me.” Nania tries to defend herself. Elios’ face now turned to Dev.
“That wouldn’t have happened if she hadn’t hurt Elfara.” Hearing Dev’s explanation, Elios’ hands clenched into fists.
“You know what saddens me the most?” Elios asked Nania.
“Elios, everything that happened–”
“I’ve lost the good-natured Nania. In fact, I don’t understand why she died.” Having managed to make a puddle in Nania’s eyes, Elios took Dev’s hand, and lifted his feet from before the pathetic girl.
“I will take Elfara away from here. I don’t want the evil hand to hurt her again,” Dev said to Elios.
“What are you saying, Devada? I’m really confused about what happened today. Not long ago, I had a fight with Nania, then suddenly I fainted for no reason. After waking up, I saw you guys fighting and made a shock that made my brain want exploded. I thought you had a close relationship with Elfara. Your faces are similar too.”
“I don’t know what made you like that. At that time, I was still lying in the room, then I heard a voice. I saw you were like that until I saw for myself what Nania did to Elfara. You should know, I do have a close relationship with Elfara. Elfara, but you have no right to know more about us.”
“I won’t ask again if you want, but, you should know about Elfara’s condition.” Dev looks at Elios seriously.
“I found her in a bad state. She seems to have suffered a traumatic wound that I didn’t understand until now. She’s a very secretive girl. Only wants to talk when someone hurts her. That’s why I designed this villa with lots of traps.”
“Thank you, you helped her.”
“How am I going to let her go when her face reminds me of you? I mean, I wouldn’t have the heart to let a girl run around like that.”
“It would be best if you guys stayed here. I’ll make sure the security will be much better after this,” continued Elios.
“You can’t. You have someone to take care of.”
“Don’t worry, I will take care of Nania.”
“You don’t have to bother taking care of me. You’ll regret hurting me for the sake of a bitch like Elfara,” interrupted Nania who suddenly came.
“Shut up!”
“You should keep your mouth shut, Devada! You don’t know anything about Elfara.”
“Shut up while you still want your teeth intact, Nania,” Dev replied fiercely.
“Wow, that’s great! For the sake of a girl you don’t even know, you forgot who the person who had been helping you was. I don’t understand how Elios brainwashed you.” Nania’s sharp glance did not make Elios speak quickly. The young man just froze, busy with his own thoughts.
“Okay, if you don’t believe me, I’ll make that two-faced girl admit her guilt.” Nania’s recklessness makes Dev’s head explode. The impudence made Nania’s heart not afraid to refute all the accusations that were directed at her.
“Nania, never mind! Don’t be like this, you better cool your mind first.” Elios coaxed, but replied nonchalantly.
“Elfara! Explain to me, what makes you hate me so much! Why Elfara? Shouldn’t you be thanking me. If it weren’t for me, you probably wouldn’t have survived because of the wound on your back that time.” Nania pulled Elfara’s hand roughly until the girl sat down with sadness that filled her face.
“Tell me! What do you have a mouth for?”
“Stop it, Nania!” snapped Dev. However, it seems that emotions have taken over Nania’s sanity. The girl throws Dev like throwing peanut shells.
“Tell it, Elfara!”
“Enough!” One angry phrase made Nania stop everything. Unsteadily, she turned around and looked at Dev full of disappointment.
“I just pulled the blanket and you replied to me this cruelly,” Nania whispered. With watery eyes, she looked at Dev and Elios alternately. The blush on the faces of the two of them did not reduce the pain that was throbbing in Nania’s heart.
“If it’s you and you don’t want me anymore, I’ll go. One day … from a distance, I’ll see you hurt living in regret.” Nania gave a message before her body slowly disappeared from view.
