“I have to take your mother to the hospital. I don’t know why all the medical equipment suddenly broke down.”
“No! I’ll take her home. No place is safe for her right now. You saw those two people you ordered to clean the blood out of consciousness for no reason. Everyone here is being weird.”
“Dev, I get it. I don’t know why something so unreasonable is happening in this place, but you can’t say all places are unsafe. Jess needs help ASAP. How are you going to take care of her at home when ….”
“Do I look so stupid?”
“No, it’s not like that! It’s just ….”
“I don’t care!” After Dev maintains her ego, she leaves holding her mother who doesn’t stop convulsing. Michele could only shake his head because he couldn’t stop her.
In Paranoa, Dev brings her stepmother. The woman was no longer having seizures, or vomiting, but had lost consciousness. She laid her mother’s body in the room Jess used to stay in when the late Nick wasn’t around. By Jess’ side, the girl looked thoughtful.
“Why is this, Mommy? What happened to our family?” Dev almost sobs. However, she immediately restrained it. Her thumb gently stroked Jess’ eyelids.
“I will try to treat you with the power I have,” said Dev.
Dev closes her eyes to concentrate all her energy. After fifteen minutes, she dispenses it through the palm of her hand.
“Get well soon, Mom.” Dev mumbles after hearing soft snoring.
A blanket Dev stretched out to warm her mother’s body. Before long, she heard a commotion from the room Nick had prepared for Elfara. The sound of objects falling in succession drags Dev’s steps closer.

Dev’s eyes quickly patrolled as the doorknob moved away from the dark brown door. The pink room she entered was not as noisy as she had heard. Everything looked quiet and tidy.
Tsk!
“Jerk!” Dev turns heel, but falling object distracts her.
A photo frame that was originally displayed on the nightstand moved to the floor. Dev picks up the inverted rectangular object and gets a bit of a shock. It was a portrait of Elfara as a child. Very pretty, plain, and simple. However, there is a lot of sadness and anger implied.
“I’d rather your rebuke than your leaving!” Dev exhales air from mouth. The photo has returned to its original place.
Dev leaves when the doorbell rings. It was Mehmet who was standing outside the door. The grown man greets according to his beliefs and Dev only responds with a welcome gesture.
“How is Jess?” Mehmet asked.
“It’s getting better. Can you take care of her?”
“Are you going to find your sister?” Dev nodded.
“Go! I can be counted on after regaining my sanity.”
“Thank you!”
After entrusting Jess to her father’s best friend, Dev rushes down the streets and hidden places. If only, her magical power was able to detect the girl’s whereabouts, she would use the remaining time to take care of their mother.
Right on the way out to Asa Sul/Z, Dev sees a girl lying on the garden side of the road. At first glance when viewed from the physical characteristics, the girl seemed familiar.
“You’re like ….” Dev tries to wake up the bruised girl.
“Who are you? Get out of the way!” The curly-haired girl suddenly realized, then distanced herself from Dev’s presence.
“I ….”
“Wait!” shouted Dev. However, the girl had already left her. In fact, didn’t hear at all even though Dev had repeated it.
“That girl ….” Her memory forced her to trace the past.
“Nania!” A name finally came out.
After that, she thought of keeping an eye on Nania from afar. Solely to return the favor because the dark-skinned girl had saved her life. Nania continues to walk towards the beach. In a row of coconut trees, the girl stopped, then looked at the young man. Dev gets ready to listen.
“What happened to you, Nania?” The man asked.
“Just ask Elfara!” Dev’s heart beats when Nania mentions her sister’s name.
“Elfara couldn’t have done it. You know her condition.” The man’s words sounded very clear. However, unfortunately, Dev cannot find out who the young man is. The face of the man who are with Nania are covered in hoodies while Dev looks at them from the side. The fairly open place made it difficult for her to change positions.
“Listen! If you insist on this, don’t blame me if one day you change your mind.”
“I’m sure she’s a good girl!”
“You’re too naive!” replied Nania. The last words Dev could hear before Nania lowered her voice in the young man’s ear.
“Where are they?” They went in the opposite direction. Perhaps one of them had sniffed her whereabouts.
“You can’t fool me, Nania!” Instead of keeping an eye on the Latina girl, Dev chooses to follow in the footsteps of the man who just got into an argument with Nania.
The exotic-skinned man put on his buff mask and climbed the Crosser until he came to the street where the Metropolitana Nossa Senhora Aparecida building could be seen. Various driving tricks are done to trick Dev. The young man never knew what Dev could do even without any vehicle.
“Is he human or what?” The young man is taken aback when Dev manages to restrain him.
“Who are you?” Dev casts her cold gaze. Countless steps brought her close to the owner of those black eyes.
“Where’s Elfara?” Dev’s eyes skinned the entire body of the man in front of her.
“He’s like the person I saw on the side of the road with a girl back then. Could it be that the girl with him ….”
“You have a mouth, speak!” Dev insisted.
“Hey, dude! You’re so funny, aren’t you. Suddenly confronted, then asked a person I didn’t know at all. You asked the wrong person!” That person responded casually and gently.
“Stop your gibberish! Tell me quickly if you still want to live!” Dev’s threats turned out to have no effect.
The young man started the motorcycle engine and prepared to step on the gas. However, Dev swiftly knocked him down with just one kick. The sound of the motorbike disappeared, replaced with the owner’s moans.
“Say or die?” Dev presses him once again with a bit of violence.
“I told you, you have the wrong person!” The long-haired man persisted in his lies even though his knuckles had to crumble under Dev’s footrest.
“Alright, you’ve made your choice!” Dev said in a low tone, but her meaning was able to cool down her opponent’s body in an instant.
Dev does a little warm-up before finally doing what her heart doesn’t want. Only a few punches are delivered to the target’s chest and head. The small snap made the man in front of Dev paralyzed and breathless for a while.
“Do you still want to be quiet?” The man just coughed as he felt the warm red liquid flowing behind his wavy hair.
This angered Dev even more. Dev raises her hand again in a huff, but suddenly Nania comes as a shield. Dev may not succeed in venting her desire, but she manages to uncover the buff covering the latin man’s face.
“You?”
“Elios? Damn it! What’s he got to do with Nania and Elfara?” Furthermore, Dev was silent a thousand languages.
